Starting with God's perspective, how to lose an interstellar war?

The preferential treatment Qin Beiwang is receiving now is nothing more than those higher-ups trying to curry favor with Qin Qianfan.

"Fine, let him make the money."

At least Commander Qin led me in battle.

It's better to let his son handle it than to let his good-for-nothing descendants do it!

Zhao Rui let out a long sigh.

He couldn't help but curse inwardly.

"Damn the Federation, it's rotten to the core!"

Seeing this, Li Wencai breathed a sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, on the bridge of the flagship of the Iron Fist Sub-Fleet's direct subordinate fleet.

Yang Shaozheng looked worried.

Until his adjutant, the deputy captain Lü Taining, came to his side.

He then spoke slowly.

"Let the Scorpion ship lead the Flame Scorpion and Water Scorpion cruisers to follow behind the Pluto fleet."

Maintain the optimal support distance.

"Send reinforcements immediately if the Pluto fleet is overwhelmed!"

Upon hearing this, Lü Taining looked at Yang Shao in shock.

"Commander, the Scorpion is the most heavily armed ship in our reserve force!"

The Pluto fleet possesses the Kunlun, and its opponent is the Salamander fleet.

"There's no need to be so cautious!"

Yang Shao waved his hand.

He looked at Lü Taining meaningfully.

"If the fleet commander below doesn't understand, how can you, a deputy commander of a squadron, not understand?"

What is Qin Beiwang?

Is he the son of a high-ranking official who's come down here for a gilded experience?

"Isn't that right?"

Lü Taining countered with a question.

Yang Shao smiled slightly.

"No wonder I became a commander during the assessment back then."

You're still a deputy!

Speak like a human being!

I don't understand your bureaucratic intricacies!

"In the eyes of outsiders, Qin Beiwang is just a marshal's son with a gilded reputation."

In my opinion, that's our Iron Fist Fleet's cash cow!

Not only were we worried about him getting hurt, but the high-ranking officials who escorted Qin Beiwang down were even more afraid!

They couldn't wait to equip Qin Beiwang with the best starships.

"Then the old starships he vacated will be ours!"

Lu Taining looked at Yang Shao in shock.

What they said makes sense!

"Then how about sending another battleship? How about the Aquarius?"

Lü Taining suggested.

Yang Shao laughed heartily.

He patted Lü Taining on the shoulder.

"That's enough, old buddy!"

We need to keep some reserves too!

The tactical atmosphere on the bridge of the Kunlunshan was disrupted by an unexpected question.

"Lieutenant Zhuang!"

Qin Beiwang shifted his gaze from the 3D star map to the female officer beside him.

What is the maximum delay-free transmission distance of a federal standard quantum communication array?

Upon hearing this, Zhuang Zhixuan's fingers froze, and the data tablet almost slipped from her hand.

She looked up, a look of disbelief flashing in her eyes—a complex mix of shock, confusion, and a hint of absurdity.

"Commander... what did you say?"

Her voice was a little dry.

"The maximum distance with zero delay in quantum communication."

Qin Beiwang repeated, his tone as calm as if he were asking about today's meal menu.

"I need the exact data."

Inside the bridge, several officers who were operating the equipment slowed down their movements and pricked up their ears.

Lieutenant Liu, the communications officer in the corner, instinctively opened his mouth, then quickly closed it again.

Zhuang Zhixuan took a deep breath, forcing herself to maintain a professional attitude.

"The Federal Standard Military Quantum Entangled Communication Array has a maximum effective distance of 380 million kilometers for delay-free transmission."

Beyond this distance, for every additional 100,000 kilometers, signal resolution experiences a delay of approximately one second.

Zhuang Zhixuan thought to herself.

"This is the content that will be covered in the first lesson of the first-year 'Fundamentals of Interstellar Communication' course in the Fleet Command Department."

It seems this commander is indeed as rumored—incompetent and utterly a poor student!

At this moment, Zhuang Zhixuan felt that her future was shrouded in darkness.

Qin Beiwang nodded thoughtfully.

"380 million kilometers... That means if our reconnaissance ship is 580 million kilometers away from the fleet, the communication delay will be half an hour."

"33 minutes and 20 seconds exactly! Commander!"

Zhuang Zhixuan's tone already carried a hint of helplessness.

"However, in actual combat deployments, reconnaissance ships usually do not travel more than 1.8 million kilometers away from the main force."

One reason is to ensure real-time communication.

On the other hand, it is also for safety reasons; 1.8 million kilometers is the optimal distance for our participation in and withdrawal from the war.

A conventional nuclear fusion engine can reach the combat zone in twenty minutes.

Advanced T5-class battleships like the Kunlun would only be faster.

"That's generally true."

Qin Beiwang turned to the main tactics screen.

"But this time is different."

He quickly operated the console, bringing up a detailed star map of the Elvira system.

The orbit of Agbart is highlighted, and the possible locations of the dragon lizard fleet are marked around it.

"Shadow, Dark Shadow"

Qin Beiwang established communication with the two Shadowless-class reconnaissance ships.

"I want you to maintain full speed and keep a straight-line distance of 580 million kilometers from the main fleet."

There was a three-second silence on the communication channel.

Captain He Xunyi of the Shadow Ship sounded confused.

"580 million kilometers?"

That's three times the safe distance stipulated in our standard operational procedures!

At that distance, our communication was delayed by more than half an hour.

Moreover, if enemy ships are encountered, it will take at least an hour for the main fleet to arrive and provide support!

"Execute the command."

Qin Beiwang interrupted him.

Although there may be communication delays in reality, they exist in Qin Beiwang's system star map.

The information gathered by the two Shadowless-class reconnaissance ships was displayed in real time.

Only when the distance exceeds 5.8 million kilometers will there be a slight delay.

"If there's a communication delay, then let's not communicate! As for encountering enemy ships..."

He paused.

"If my judgment is correct, the Dragon Lizard Fleet simply does not have the extra manpower to intercept you."

All their ships will be concentrated in front of the Agbarts defense platform.

Zhuang Zhixuan said in shock.

"No communication!"

Commander, should we maintain communications silence?

Qin Beiwang nodded.

"That's right, what's that thing that can capture quantum communication called again!"

Zhuang Zhixuan frankly stated.

"Quantum Harmonic Direction Analyzer!"

By detecting the quantum harmonics generated during quantum communication, the approximate direction between the two communicating parties can be determined!

However, the Dragon Lizard Fleet is only a sub-class fleet.

It probably won't be equipped with a quantum harmonic orientation instrument, as that thing is not only energy-intensive but also bulky.

Only special reconnaissance ships of a fleet are equipped with quantum harmonic direction finders!

Qin Beiwang smiled slightly.

"The Wells fleet is too small to recklessly venture into the Elvira system."

Even if we conquer a planet, we cannot occupy it for long; instead, we will lock it up and beat it.

As for destroying the planet's resource facilities, that's even more impossible.

Important planets are equipped with orbital defense platforms; attempting to take them by force would inevitably come at a heavy price!

A hint of surprise flashed in Zhuang Zhixuan's eyes.

"You mean their target is our sub-fleets!"

Qin Beiwang nodded.
