Divine Realm: Starting with the Broken Bone Dragon

As the magic circle gradually took shape, streams of death energy were uncontrollably drawn in.

Lin Fan's soul sparked, and he happily placed the magic circle beneath the divine realm.

"Done. During this period, keep 2% of the clan members from being converted into other unit types. Once they reach the Transcendent level, they can be converted into Skeleton Mages!"

"Does it have to be a superhuman level family?"

"Yeah, otherwise I wouldn't be able to handle the pressure of becoming a skeleton mage. What the heck is this skeleton?!"

Lin Fan asked in astonishment, "No way, how can a mere ordinary skeleton directly become a skeleton mage?!"

However, more and more ordinary skeletons were subsequently attracted by this magic circle and transformed into skeleton mages.

A rough count revealed that there were several thousand!

"No, where did you skeletons come from, you freaks?"

Lin Fan was completely baffled, utterly unable to understand why this was happening.

"Lin Fan~ These skeleton mages seem to be members of the clan who died in the last war."

Lin Fan was taken aback, and asked with some excitement.

"Really? If you sense it carefully, aren't they all families who sacrificed themselves in the last war?"

Jiang Mengyao closed her eyes, her divine sense moving among tens of thousands of skeletal souls, and after a moment gave an accurate answer.

"That's right. Apart from the first skeleton mage, which was a newly hatched skeleton, the rest were all familiars who had already sacrificed themselves once."

Lin Fan suddenly became excited, and his huge body moved back and forth around.

"It's probably because I died once, so I'm closer to death energy. After all, the creatures closest to death energy are the dead!"

"During the time between death and rebirth, their affinity with death energy must have increased significantly. Furthermore, since they had already reached the transcendent level, even if they are reborn as a new skeleton, the essence of their soul remains unchanged."

"That's why they can transform from ordinary skeletons into skeleton mages."

"And this ordinary-level skeleton that hasn't undergone reincarnation is extremely likely the only, no, one of only two geniuses ever born in the history of this divine realm?"

As Lin Fan muttered to himself, he quickly drew runes and formulas in the air that Jiang Mengyao couldn't understand. Formulas appeared and disappeared rapidly, bringing with them a large amount of data.

"That's right, quick! Cast Death Infusion on this skeleton mage!"

Before her brain could even process it, Jiang Mengyao had already delivered the death energy infusion.

She's still engrossed in Lin Fan's brainstorming session!

"Based on my calculations, these skeletons, after undergoing one reincarnation, should have possessed some extremely weak self-awareness, which is clearly something that skeletons that have not undergone reincarnation do not have."

"Moreover, some skeletons never exhibit this behavior after reincarnation."

"Therefore, I speculate that a skeleton capable of developing self-awareness must have reached the maximum level of its power, specifically a higher realm."

"Furthermore, their deaths cannot be man-made, or deaths with a subjective intent."

"They can die to protect the divine realm, or for its development, but they cannot die for the sake of dying."

"If they died for the sake of dying, they should be reborn the same as before."

Jiang Mengyao was somewhat puzzled.

"so?"

"So we can just develop our divine realm normally, fight and kill when necessary, and develop as needed."

Lin Fan spread out his hands, his face serious.

"Of course, I will be the one to train these skeleton mages."

"Of course, even if you don't mention it, you're the one who teaches them."

Jiang Mengyao smiled sweetly, not minding at all that her most important unit was controlled by Lin Fan.

"That's fine then."

Lin Fan nodded in satisfaction.

"Let's continue to consolidate these resources before they run out."

"Okay~"

.......

While it's called teaching, in reality, before these skeleton mages reach the transcendent level, they can't use the spells that Lin Fan can teach them.

How can one learn about the extraordinary if they haven't reached the extraordinary level?

Moreover, Lin Fan had a new idea about the Skull Tiger.

Although the Skull Tiger's direct combat ability is indeed not as strong as it was in life, it has the talent of "Insensitivity".

This allows them to run and charge at top speed continuously.

Compared to skeletons, it's an absolute annihilation.

The only drawback is that these skeletal tigers are not as tall at the shoulder as the skeletal horses, which completely negates the cavalry's advantage of being on higher ground.

However—this refers to the ordinary-grade Skull Tiger.

The Extraordinary Skull Tiger stands at a height of over 1.25 meters, not much shorter than the Skull Horse.

Moreover, even if the knight dies, the Skull Tiger still possesses considerable combat power and can continue fighting.

Of course, these things will only begin to be realized gradually after the Skeleton Mage reaches the transcendent level. Otherwise, even if he works himself to death with just one bone dragon, he won't be able to transform many Skeleton Tiger Knights.

Furthermore, how to integrate two different types of troops is also a very important issue.

Thinking of this, Lin Fan stretched out his claws and began to draw a skeleton transformation array to transform spearmen.

This magic circle is relatively simple; it can be successfully drawn with a little effort.

However, Lin Fan did not immediately activate the magic array, but instead put it into a state of 'sleep'.

After all—there are no spearmen in the Divine Realm!

Time flies by and a year has passed.

During this year, Lin Fan gained a more detailed understanding of the various military units in the Divine Realm.

The skeleton guards wield large shields, providing strong defense, but their defense is only sufficient to defend against attacks of the same level. Once the attack level reaches the third tier, or 'elite', they become very vulnerable.

As for the skeleton archers, although their output capability is ranged, their accuracy is really not good. Even for a target ten meters away, they can only hit four out of ten times. Their attack mode will mainly be projectile.

Although the Skull Tiger's size and strength increased after advancing to the extraordinary level, it appeared quite mediocre and unremarkable, and urgently needed some equipment to enhance its abilities.

Since these units are enhanced in physical strength after advancing to the extraordinary level, Lin Fan is very concerned about training skeleton mages—they are the only spellcasting units in the God Realm besides himself!

These skeleton mages did not disappoint Lin Fan. Although their rank was still at the ordinary level, they studied Lin Fan's constantly simplified and weakened extraordinary-level spell, Bone Spear. After a year, they finally developed an ordinary-level spell—Bone Spike.

Of course, the bone spikes' attack power wasn't particularly strong, but their accuracy was much better than that of the skeleton archers—although Lin Fan didn't expect these ordinary-level skeleton mages to go to the battlefield anyway.

Their purpose in learning common-level skeleton spells was primarily to provide a foundation for these skeleton mages to learn extraordinary spells later, so that they wouldn't be too slow to learn extraordinary spells and end up in trouble.
