Chapter 214 The Difference Between Taiyi Scattered Numbers, Taiyi True Immortal, and Daluo Golden Immortal

The third day of the third lunar month is the Shangsi Festival, the day of Xuanyuan's birth. It is auspicious for spring outings and conception.

While the human world is bursting with the vitality of spring, the ghost realm is shrouded in gloom and desolation.

North of Taodu Mountain in the Netherworld, there is a mountain called Burning World Peak. This place was originally the territory of Liu Yuanda, the Plague King of Summer. However, after Liu Yuanda was suppressed under Taodu Mountain, the million ghosts had no one to rely on.

The other six ghosts and spirits, coveting the ghosts and power left behind by Liu Yuanda, gathered here.

In an instant, ghosts gathered and howled on Burning World Peak. The six heavenly ghost gods divided up a million ghosts and, after strengthening their own power, some of them wanted to disperse.

However, at this moment, Zhang Yuanbo, the Spring Plague Lord, suddenly spoke up, "I have something to say, please wait here."

One after another, the ghosts and gods looked at Zhang Yuanbo. This Spring Plague Lord presented himself as a scholar, holding a folding fan in his hand, like a down-on-his-luck scholar. However, he always had a cunning smile on his lips, giving people the feeling of being stared at by a poisonous snake.

"What is it?"

One of the ghost generals said, "Could it be that you intend to rule this Burning World Peak?"

The divine authority held by Xia Wenjun Liu Yuanda is consistent with that of Chun Wenjun. If Chun Wenjun can rule Fenshizhang, he will definitely be able to greatly enhance his own strength while Xia Wenjun Liu Yuanda is being suppressed.

However, this would disrupt the balance of power among the six heavenly spirits, so the other spirits would certainly not agree to it.

Spring Plague Lord Zhang Yuanbo cursed the ghost general in front of him as an idiot. No wonder he would eventually turn to ashes!

His expression was humble as he said, "Brother Liu is like a brother to me. Although he has been suppressed by villains for the time being, he will surely have a chance to return. How dare I overstep my bounds and take charge of this place?"

Those who cultivate the Tao, after overcoming the three calamities and nine tribulations, may be called "immortals," but this is only the beginning of their cultivation.

When a mortal is born into the world, the human soul resides within the body and transforms into seven spirits. A portion of the celestial soul and terrestrial soul remains outside the body, not fully integrated into the self. One part of the terrestrial soul merges with the rules of the netherworld, transforming into a name and remaining in the Book of Life and Death. The celestial soul, through mutual reflection among the myriad realms, transforms into parallel and similar selves in the myriad realms.

Therefore, the immortals at this time are wandering immortals, not true immortals, because their two souls, Heaven and Earth, are still scattered outside.

After Sun Wukong cultivated great supernatural powers, he could go to heaven and earth and was omnipotent. However, it was precisely because he did not gather his two souls, heaven and earth, that his name was still on the Book of Life and Death. This led to his soul being taken away by the Black and White Impermanence, causing him to cause a great disturbance in the underworld.

Afterwards, Sun Wukong crossed out his name in the Book of Life and Death, thus finally bringing the Earth Soul back into his body. At this moment, he had snatched back his own lifespan from the rules of the Netherworld, which is why he could be called someone whose lifespan was equal to that of Heaven.

Afterwards, he ate peaches of immortality and golden pills, and his supernatural powers became immeasurable. But even so, in the eyes of the Three Stars, he was still a Taiyi Scattered Number, not included in the True Stream, because his Heavenly Soul was still scattered outside.

Taiyi means Taiyi.

The scattered numbers of Taiyi mean that they have not yet been fully gathered into one.

It's because Sun Wukong hasn't yet gathered his own celestial soul.

In Samsung's view, even if Sun Wukong has great supernatural powers, he is still only in the Journey to the West world. They see the monkey as ordinary people see a comic book. Even if Samsung can't beat the monkey in the Journey to the West world, as long as the monkey doesn't understand the truth, he can't see the wider world outside. There is a huge gap between the two in terms of level.

Therefore, the difference between a wandering immortal and a true immortal lies not in power, but in their level.

At this point in time, Sun Wukong, a Taiyi Sanshu, could defeat Nezha, a Taiyi Zhenxian, but he was not on the same level as Nezha. In fact, Nezha could see the subsequent story of the Journey to the West through the evolution of the real world, which is why he was just taking it easy!

The moment Sun Wukong truly entered the true path was the moment he became the Victorious Fighting Buddha.

The Buddha said that there are countless worlds like the sands of the Ganges. How difficult it is to reclaim one's own celestial soul from among so many worlds. The supernatural power of traversing the void alone is enough to exclude even a great god like Sun Wukong, who was born of heaven and earth.

However, there is another, simpler way: rely on the Heavenly Court, Buddhism, or other pantheons—organizations that connect all the heavens!

The great gods above the True Immortal level in the Heavenly Court have even transcended the limitations of time and space. Their fame spreads throughout the heavens and the world, and correspondingly, the name of the Heavenly Court also spreads throughout the heavens and the world.

If a wandering immortal is listed in the Heavenly Court, he is immediately considered a "true god".

The "truth" here refers to the fact that he can use the Heavenly Court to spread his name throughout the myriad realms, while simultaneously awakening the reflections of his "Heavenly Soul" in the myriad realms, thereby gathering the Heavenly Soul and returning it to his true self.

When the Heavenly Soul gathers to a certain level and fully condenses the True Self, Taoists call it the "Golden Immortal." The Golden Nature is indestructible, and only at this time can one be said to have transcended the Three Realms and is no longer within the Five Elements; the world perishes, but I do not perish.

In Buddhism, this is called the "Dharmakaya," or the true self of the Dharma, which transcends the cycle of rebirth and remains unmoved.

Therefore, although the title of Great Sage Equaling Heaven seemed impressive, it was actually not even as good as the Keeper of the Heavenly Horses. This was because the Heavenly Court did not grant Sun Wukong any authority, and the empty title of Great Sage Equaling Heaven had no rules to reflect in the various worlds. Even if it was real in the Journey to the West world, it was fake in other worlds.

At this time, Zhang Yuanbo, the Spring Plague Lord, was the same. He was not outstanding in terms of magical power and supernatural abilities. He had only gathered a part of his Heavenly Soul, and his magical power and supernatural abilities were not even comparable to many Taiyi Loose Immortals.

However, through the divine position of the Heavenly Court, he could sense the changes in his important incarnations.

However, his perception was far slower than that of true Buddhas and immortals like Guanyin Bodhisattva and Zhang Tianshi, and he was also very passive.

Although this may not necessarily harm their true self, the destruction or suppression of each important incarnation will slow down their progress towards becoming a Golden Immortal.

The Five Plague Lords are all of the same ilk. Liu Yuanda's important clone was suppressed, so he must be angry with Ao Peng. In addition, Ao Peng spread the name of General Wu Gong in Taodu Mountain. Therefore, Liu Yuanda naturally reminded Zhang Yuanbo, the Spring Plague Lord, in the real world to be careful and to see if he could find an opportunity to save his clone.

Zhang Yuanbo already had a deep-seated grudge against Ao Peng. Now, they bumped into each other in the Journey to the West world. Ao Peng even wanted to suppress Zhang Yuanbo's key incarnation ahead of time. This was truly a case of enemies meeting on a narrow road.
