Chapter 235 The Will of Heaven

After giving the Three Lights Divine Water to Ao Peng, Qingyuan Miaodao Zhenjun returned to his own divine palace.

He looked at the Guanyin Bodhisattva in the palace and asked curiously, "Why doesn't the Bodhisattva personally deliver the Three Lights Divine Water to him?"

Holding a willow branch, the Bodhisattva replied, "I have come to subdue the demon at the invitation of the Old Man of the Moon."

"The Matchmaker?"

Qingyuan Miaodao Zhenjun was even more curious. They were all great gods who controlled the fundamental rules of heaven and earth. Every move they made affected the operation of the rules. It was obvious that the matter of subduing demons was not under the jurisdiction of Yue Lao. Why would Yue Lao go to the South Sea to invite Guanyin Bodhisattva to come here?

The Bodhisattva smiled slightly and said nothing more, but continued, "Nagarjuna Bodhisattva, who was the main promoter of the eastward spread of Buddhism in those days, recently entered the state of Nirvana in the Realm of Truth."

Qingyuan Miaodao Zhenjun nodded slightly; he had also heard about this matter.

The Bodhisattva continued, "After Nagarjuna Bodhisattva entered Nirvana, he passed on his teachings to this little fellow, who was thus sent to this Journey to the West world. For this reason, Laozi specifically chose five hundred years before the eastward transmission of Buddhism. It seems that Laozi is also quite dissatisfied with Buddhism as it is now..."

Although Guanyin Bodhisattva only said a few simple words, they instantly made Qingyuan Miaodao Zhenjun change color!

Although he has not yet fully attained the Golden Immortal status, he has heard several lectures on the Primordial Dao and knows some of the cultivation paths above the Great Luo Golden Immortal level.

The Great Golden Immortal gathers the celestial souls of all the heavens and myriad realms into one, thus forming the complete three souls of Heaven, Earth, and Man. From then on, he transforms himself and remains in the myriad worlds, while his true self remains free and unique.

Every incarnation of a Great Luo Golden Immortal you encounter in the myriad realms is the original form of that person, with identical strength. That is why it is said that Great Luo Golden Immortals can be eternally free in all time and space.

Above the Great Luo Golden Immortal is the legendary Primordial Dao Fruit.

Such beings are no longer merely free and unrestrained; they are capable of creating heaven and earth, becoming the source of time and space themselves.

The numerous small and medium chiliocosms described in Buddhism are all different branches off from the great tree of the real world, and are still part of the real world in themselves.

So, the Primordial Golden Immortal uses the method of grafting branches, cutting a branch from the real world and planting it next to the real world to create a 'big tree' that belongs only to him.

Although this great tree is essentially a reflection of the real world, it is completely independent in terms of time and space and is controlled by a Primordial Golden Immortal.

Of course, although the tree planted by the Primordial Golden Immortal is independent in space and time, no world created by any other immortal has yet grown to the point where it is exactly the same as the real world. Therefore, it cannot hang so many small and medium worlds on the tree. It is like a seedling that still needs to be nurtured and grown.

Therefore, if a Primordial Golden Immortal is dissatisfied with the development of their world, they will directly modify the main structure, such as taking a certain node of the world and evolving it again.

If the outcome of the evolution satisfies them, then this is the main trunk. The original "main trunk" can become branches, forming the middle and small chiliocosms, or it can be directly cut off and discarded.

Of course, under normal circumstances, the Primordial Golden Immortals are detached from the world, and they almost never use such a great supernatural power to reverse the world, because this would not only affect the development of their own world, but also affect the masses below.

But now, Guanyin Bodhisattva's words instantly made Erlang Shen realize that the Journey to the West world was about to undergo a real change. He whispered, "No wonder Nagarjuna Bodhisattva entered Nirvana..."

Nagarjuna Bodhisattva is one of the main causes of the creation of the Journey to the West world, second only to Laozi. If he had not entered Nirvana, then the various incarnations he left behind in history would have continued to influence and correct the altered history.

Even if someone wants to change this place, they will eventually return to the normal course of history through various coincidences, because he is the cause of the world's creation. It was he who visited Laozi and introduced the true source of Buddhism from Balatar to the Eastern Land, which gave Laozi the opportunity to embark on his journey to the West.

In contrast, even the great immortals like Tathagata and Guanyin can only be considered "fruits" here, things that can be changed. It is precisely because they can change that they are able to change the Mahayana Buddhism that is being spread today.

Guanyin Bodhisattva had a compassionate expression. She herself only understood this matter after arriving at the foot of the Five Elements Mountain and having a peach blossom fall into her brow.

However, figuring it out is one thing, but whether you can let it go is another.

Guanyin Bodhisattva did not know what kind of future Journey to the West Laozi wanted to change, but as the biggest beneficiary of the Journey to the West world, she was naturally unwilling to give up the good deeds she had done.

That's why she had no choice but to enter this situation. Once inside, even she had to proceed cautiously, taking each step carefully.

So her original idea was to drive Ao Peng out of the Journey to the West world as soon as possible and maintain the original world's operation, or at least maintain the eastward transmission of Buddhism. But when the peach blossom fell from her brow, she saw it as a warning from Laozi.

The changes in the Journey to the West world are already predetermined, so even her supernatural powers cannot overcome the true will of Heaven, and she can only go with the flow.

Speaking of destiny, after Guanyin Bodhisattva and Ao Peng left Erlang Temple and returned to Qingcheng Mountain to refine their swords, they took out a willow branch and swept it across the dragon and snake on the pillars of the Demon Subduing Hall.

Ao Zhu transformed into a beautiful young girl dressed in green and landed on the temple. She was just immersed in the joy of absorbing the rules of subduing demons when she was summoned from the pillars and suddenly saw two great gods in front of her.

Ao Zhu quickly bowed and said, "Dragon Girl Ao Zhu greets True Lord Qingyuan Miaodao and Great Bodhisattva Guanyin."

Guanyin Bodhisattva looked at the blooming peach blossom between Ao Zhu's brows and said, "You have rendered meritorious service in helping the people of Chengdu subdue demons on this journey. I happen to be short of an attendant by my side. Would you be willing to become my disciple and cultivate the Sambhogakaya Dharma?"

Ao Zhu never expected that good things would happen to her one after another. At this moment, Guanyin Bodhisattva was willing to take her as her servant, and she quickly bowed and said, "I am willing."

Beside her, the little white snake transformed into a little girl dressed in a white lotus dress. Although she did not recognize the two great gods before her, she still wanted to bow down and ask them to teach her the methods of cultivation. "I also want to cultivate with you."

Guanyin Bodhisattva looked at the little white snake and said, "You cannot come with me to the South China Sea to cultivate for the time being."

The little white snake asked, "Why?"

Guanyin Bodhisattva smiled and said, "Today you have received a great favor from someone for no reason, and you still owe a debt of karma. If you do not repay this favor, it will be difficult for you to attain enlightenment."
