Chapter 140 The Full-Length Mirror and the Nun's Battle Robe!

Chapter 143 The Full-Length Mirror and the Nun's Battle Robe!

Su Long had been keeping up with the news in his spare time over the past month, but he hadn't seen any information about the island in any of the news. Could it be that he had heard about it before he transmigrated?

He recalled carefully and realized that he had indeed seen this name in some news reports at the end of 2025 in the original world.

He was busy dealing with matters related to returning to China at the time, and only glanced at these news reports briefly, without paying much attention to them, so he couldn't recall where he had seen them.

Shaking his head, Su Long dismissed these thoughts. If he couldn't remember, so be it. It was just an assessment, and an island was fine. Maybe he could even take the opportunity to experience a private jet and a yacht.

At 3 p.m., the massive SUV drove into the South Dunlap district.

This is an old neighborhood full of nostalgia, with most of the houses dating back to the 1950s and 60s. Graffiti walls, discount supermarkets, cheap fast food restaurants, and a community church with a slightly faded spire can be seen everywhere along the street, which is full of a strong sense of life.

Following Hannah's directions, Sulong parked the car in front of a two-story detached house.

Although the house looks a bit old, the steps in front of the door are swept very clean, the lawn is neatly trimmed, and there are several potted plants growing well on the windowsill.

After getting out of the car, Hannah went to open the door first, while Sulong went around to the back of the car, opened the trunk, and took out the heavy metal box. He then followed Hannah into the room.

Upon entering, there is a narrow entryway, with an open-plan kitchenette on the left and the living room directly in front.

Su Long had just stepped into the living room when he stopped abruptly. The outside of the room was indeed very clean, but—the inside was far too messy.

Especially the fabric sofa in the very center, which was piled with all kinds of clothes, including ordinary T-shirts and trousers, but mostly some very minimal fabric and extremely wild styles of close-fitting clothes.

Large swaths of black and white lace, semi-transparent mesh, and even a few leather chokers with metal buckles.

Su Long walked to the sofa, placed the box in his hand on the empty ground next to him, and then picked up an extremely eye-catching item from the top of the pile of clothes. It was a "lampshade" with a smooth pearl chain as the main body and only two pieces of semi-transparent gauze in the key parts.

Su Long held the work of art-like fabric up to his eyes, examining it for a couple of seconds in the sunlight streaming through the window. Then he turned to Hannah, who stood frozen in the entryway, and asked sincerely, "Hannah, do you usually like wearing this style?"

Hannah panicked and rushed forward, snatching the "lampshade" from her, frantically tidying up the clothes on the sofa.

"I—I've been running back and forth between the church and Professor Stella's place lately, I've been so busy! I forgot to tidy up! Please make yourself at home! Give me five minutes! No, three minutes!" With that, she grabbed a huge pile of clothes and rushed towards the laundry room in the corner of the first floor as if her life depended on it.

Su Long watched her fleeing figure, shook his head with a smile, but did not sit down immediately. Instead, he looked around the other furnishings in the room with great interest.

One side of the living room has been transformed into a relaxation area, where a top-of-the-line desktop computer with RGB lighting sits on a large desk, and the dual-screen monitors are in standby mode.

The surrounding shelves were densely packed with all kinds of anime figurines, whose clothing was very revealing and whose poses were extremely daring.

Seeing Hannah come out of the laundry room, he smiled and couldn't help but tease her, "I really didn't realize your room was decorated like this—"

Hannah twisted her fingers, her eyes darting around, trying to defend herself: "I—I just like collecting figurines because they're really pretty."

Seeing that there were still some clothes piled up in other corners of the room, Su Long didn't want to embarrass her any further. He turned around and walked towards the open kitchen on the left, waving his hand and saying, "Okay, you continue tidying up the room. I'll check what you have in your refrigerator first."

He opened the refrigerator door and found it filled with large bottles of Coke and several cans of energy drinks. The vegetable drawer wasn't empty, but it was mostly filled with canned goods, and the few vegetables that were there didn't look particularly fresh. The freezer was slightly better, with a lot of frozen meat.

Surong looked at Hannah, puzzled, and asked, "Is this all the ingredients you have?"

Hannah walked over, looked at the things on the counter, and said with a troubled expression, "I usually order takeout or eat fast food, and I rarely cook for myself."

She bit her lower lip and suggested, "How about we go out to eat? There's a Mexican burrito place on the corner that's pretty good."

"No need to trouble yourself, I'll cook." Su Long took off his coat, rolled up his sleeves, and began selecting ingredients.

Hannah was taken aback for a moment, then waved her hands repeatedly, saying, "How could I possibly accept this! We clearly agreed that I would treat you to dinner, how could I let you do the work?"

"Alright, don't be shy. I'm good at handling these ingredients anyway. You can continue packing your clothes."

Hearing this, Hannah could only obediently nod and say, "Then—thank you for your trouble, Sue."

She turned and walked quickly to the living room to continue tidying up the remaining clutter.

After sending Hannah to tidy up the room, Surong turned to look at the refrigerator again. The ingredients were not necessarily scarce; there were enough to make some simple dishes. So, after thinking for a moment, he had already drawn up a menu.

Scrambled eggs with diced chicken breast, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, and then stir-fried shredded vegetables with canned produce to make a vegetarian dish of three kinds of shredded vegetables.

After quickly sketching out a plan in his mind and confirming that no ingredients were missing, Su Long officially began preparing the dishes.

On the other side, Hannah finally finished packing all the clothes and walked out of the laundry room.

She intended to open the tactical crate to check the equipment, but after seeing the busy figure in the kitchen, she inexplicably walked over, leaned against the cabinet, and quietly watched the man wearing a floral apron.

Su Long took off his coat, leaving him in only a fitted black turtleneck sweater with the sleeves rolled up above his elbows.

As he swung the spatula, the strong muscles on his forearm bulged and contracted rhythmically.

The warm light from the range hood shone on his deep, rugged profile, showcasing his irresistible charm at that moment.

The sizzling sound of melting butter filled the small kitchen, quickly filling it with a rich, warm aroma that made the entire space cozy.

Hannah suddenly felt a little short of breath, and her stomach growled twice.

She was indeed hungry, but she clearly realized that what she was craving wasn't the food in the pot at all, but the man in front of her who was cooking.

Surong put down his spoon, turned his head, and met Hannah's fixed gaze. A hint of amusement flickered in his dark eyes. "What are you daydreaming about?"

Hannah, like a thief caught red-handed, hurriedly looked away: "No, nothing, I just wanted to see if you knew how to use my stove."

Twenty minutes later, three plates of appetizing home-style dishes were served on the table, along with two bowls of soft, well-cooked macaroni.

Su Long took off his floral apron, casually draped it over the back of his chair, pulled out a chair and sat down. Looking at the dishes on the table, he said with a sigh, "Let's eat. It's been a while since I've cooked, so my skills might be a bit rusty. Also, your kitchen is missing quite a few of your usual spices. You can buy some to stock up another day."

Hannah couldn't wait to pick up her fork, spear a piece of chicken breast coated in golden egg yolk, and stuff it into her mouth.

The smooth, tender egg, combined with the savory chicken, melts on the tongue; the cooking time is simply perfect.

Hannah's eyes widened instantly, and she exclaimed, "My God! Is this really chicken breast? I never imagined it could taste this good!"

She then tried the scrambled eggs with tomatoes and the stir-fried shredded vegetables; the sweet and sour, rich broth and crisp texture completely won over her taste buds.

"It's so delicious!"

Hannah began to devour her food without any regard for her image. After eating half a bowl of pasta, she finally slowed down, picked up her water glass to catch her breath, and then looked up at Su Long with bright eyes, tentatively asking, "Su, your cooking is even better than those high-end restaurants. In the future—could you come here often to cook for me?"

Surong put down his cutlery, crossed his hands and rested his chin on them, looking at her with a half-smile: "Hannah, are you inviting me to live with you?"

Hannah looked flustered, but still tried to appear calm as she retorted, "As long as we don't sleep in the same room, it doesn't count as living together, right?"

Su Long chuckled softly, not bothering to expose the girl's explanation.

The pleasant meal ended quickly, and the plates on the table were all gone.

Hannah stood up, stuffed all the neatly stacked empty plates and cutlery into the kitchen sink, clapped her hands, and turned to look at the conspicuous metal suitcase in the living room.

"I'll save these for later to wash."

Surong stood up and walked to the box: "Alright, now you can see what good things Dania has prepared for you."

"Okay, Sue, could you please help me carry it into the bedroom?"

"certainly."

Sulong smiled and nodded, picked up the tactical case with one hand, and followed Hannah upstairs to her bedroom.

As soon as I entered, a faint scent of roses wafted towards me.

In the center of the room stood a large, simple, upholstered princess bed, neatly made, with several large plush toys resting on it.

On the bedside table sat a rose-scented candle, next to which sat a small pink leather box.

Su Long's gaze moved down the bed, where a solid wood clothes rack stood at the foot of the bed, with several visually striking "battle robes" of pajamas hanging on it.

One was a black lace style with large areas of openwork, the other was a semi-transparent tulle with extremely limited fabric, and the one on the far right was a nun's habit with a specially tailored skirt that was outrageously short.

On the other side of the room stands an enormous full-length mirror. The mirror is positioned at an extremely tricky angle, so that as long as a person is lying on the bed, they can see every detail of their entire body clearly.

Surong casually placed the tactical kit on the carpet, crossed his arms, and examined the mirror with interest, asking, "Hannah, what's the purpose of having this mirror here?"

Upon hearing this question, Hannah stammered, then whispered an explanation: "It's—it's for taking pictures when I'm getting dressed!"

Surong didn't dwell on the topic. He strode over to the clothes rack at the foot of the bed, reached out a finger, and gently lifted the scantily clad, semi-transparent nun's habit. He examined it closely under the room's light and said, "Hannah, if I really come to live with you, will you walk around the living room in these clothes?"

Hannah immediately shook her head vigorously, somewhat guiltily refusing, "Absolutely not! I will absolutely not wear them out of this room!"

Surong chuckled lightly, neither confirming nor denying, his gaze passing over Hannah and landing on the small pink leather trunk on the bedside table. The trunk wasn't large, but the metal clasps were locked tightly.

Before Su Long could even ask a question, Hannah followed his gaze and exclaimed in surprise. She then pounced over, frantically pulling open the wardrobe door and stuffing the box into the deepest corner.

To be on the safe side, she even grabbed a few thick coats and covered the suitcase tightly.

After doing all this, Hannah turned around and spread her arms to block the wardrobe: "My diary is in here! You're not allowed to peek!"

"Is it really a diary?"

Seeing her looking so alarmed, Su Long couldn't help but laugh out loud, while secretly cursing her in his heart.

"Who keeps a diary, even a decent person?"

The size of that box is just right for storing small toys.

Su Long chuckled a few times, turned around and went back to the door, carried the tactical case to the middle of the room, bent down and unfastened the clasp: "Alright, enough chit-chat, come and inspect the goods."

The lid of the box popped open, revealing a set of neatly folded nun's habit.

This nun's habit was completely different from the rough cotton style that Hannah usually wore. The fabric had a matte, deep black color and felt extremely tough and smooth. Under the bedroom light, the fabric fibers faintly revealed a fine silver luster, which was obviously woven with high-purity silver threads.

Su Long raised his eyebrows, picked up the heavy garment and weighed it in his hands, asking in confusion, "What's going on with Dania?"

"Are you having a wicked moment? I got you a tactical nun's habit?"

Hannah stepped forward and took the dress from her: "This wasn't Dania's idea; I specifically requested it."

"My choice of a nun's habit was out of necessity. After all, when I'm on other missions, there are basically no restrictions on my attire, so I can fight even while wearing a nun's habit. But when I'm doing nun's work, I can only wear a nun's habit."

"Therefore, making tactical protective gear in the style of nun's clothes makes it more versatile for various applications."

After hearing this explanation, Su Long curled his lip and said, "Your lousy church has quite a lot of rules."

After saying that, he looked Hannah up and down, his eyes filled with anticipation: "So, would you like to try on the size now? I'd really like to see how this tactical nun's habit looks on you."

Hannah, clutching the clothes, unconsciously took a half-step back. She bit her lower lip, hesitated for a moment, and slowly said, "Try it on—trying it on is fine, but you must turn around first, and absolutely no peeking!"

"No problem, I promise I won't watch it."

To show his cooperation, Sulong raised his hands, turned around decisively, and faced away from Hannah, looking in the direction of the full-length mirror.

Hannah didn't notice the full-length mirror in the room at all. Seeing that Su Long obediently turned around, she put the tactical nun's uniform she was holding on the bed with peace of mind, and then reached out and pulled up the hem of the T-shirt.

The rustling sound of fabric rubbing together was particularly clear in the quiet bedroom.

The mirror clearly reflected Hannah's unguarded back; she had slipped off her oversized T-shirt along her arms and tossed it aside.

Hannah's figure is neither as explosively powerful as Elena's, nor as tall and voluptuous as Dania's; she belongs to the type with a petite frame but excellent proportions.

Her legs were straight and long, her waist was slender, and the shoulder blades on her back swayed slightly with her movements.

Sulong quietly admired this rare scenery.

Hannah first put on the tactical nun's habit, straightened the wrinkles at the collar and cuffs, then sat on the edge of the bed and pulled the white stockings up little by little from her toes until they covered most of her thighs. Finally, she put on the tactical boots and tightened the laces.

After finishing all this, Hannah stood up, looked down to check her clothes, and after confirming that everything was in order, let out a long sigh of relief: "I'm done changing, you can turn around now."

Upon hearing this, Su Long slowly turned around.

Hannah looked up, about to ask Suron what he thought, but the light passed over Suron's shoulder and landed directly on the huge floor-to-ceiling mirror.

Hannah was stunned for a full two seconds, then suddenly realized that although Su Long had his back to her, as long as he had his eyes open, he could have seen the whole process of her changing clothes through the mirror!

"You—you saw everything just now, didn't you?!"

Hannah rushed forward, filled with shame and anger, and punched Suron hard twice on his muscular shoulder.

Su Long stared wide-eyed innocently: "What mirror? What do you see?"

Hannah forcefully pulled her hand back, glaring at him angrily, but couldn't find a reason to refute him.

Su Long put away his joking thoughts and took the opportunity to sized up the girl in front of him.

The tactical nun's suit is extremely form-fitting, perfectly outlining Hannah's graceful curves.

The black fabric created a strong visual contrast with her fair face, and the cheongsam-style skirt with slits on both sides revealed a corner of white thigh-high stockings.

The sturdy tactical boots on his feet added a touch of heroic spirit to his outfit.

Surong didn't hold back his praise, saying, "Absolutely perfect! Don't you want to look in the mirror?"

Hearing Sulong's praise, Hannah's embarrassment and annoyance dissipated considerably, and she strode to the huge floor-to-ceiling mirror.

She tugged at the fabric at her chest and muttered, "It looks good—but it feels a little tight around my chest and waist. I'm used to wearing loose nun's clothes, and now that I'm wearing this fitted style, I feel like I can't even breathe properly."

Suron slowly walked over from the bedside and stopped behind Hannah. Their figures overlapped in the mirror, with Suron's tall body almost completely enveloping Hannah.

"That's good. The fitted cut not only shows off the figure, but also minimizes the obstruction of the fabric during combat."

He leaned down slightly, his warm breath brushing against Hannah's earlobe. He deliberately lowered his voice, his tone tinged with a hint of teasing: "By the way, during the last dare, you said—you like playing in front of a mirror."

"You're not referring to this mirror, are you?"

Hannah's heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was going to jump out of her throat. She jerked back, but the heel of her tactical boot landed directly on Suron's toes.

She gasped in surprise, instantly losing her balance and falling straight backward, landing hard on the princess bed.
