A true man is born between heaven and earth; how can he remain subservient to others for long?

He can be replaced!

After a moment of reflection, Leo composed himself and obediently rode his Radiant Warhorse toward the Glowing Mushroom Castle.

The mountain is low and the slope is flat.

I hardly felt any strain.

Moreover, the glowing plants that radiate holy light can be seen everywhere, vaguely outlining the contours of the entire hill. The entire hillside has been cultivated into farmland, so this hill is named the Glowing Mushroom Farm.

On the leeward side of the hillside, a series of greenhouses are connected, where countless fluorescent mushroom plants are cultivated.

These fluorescent fungi will be continuously moved away to maintain the luminous paths throughout the territory.

On the other side of the hillside, there are various crops.

You can see many serfs busy in the fields, and oxen wandering around in groups of three or five. These oxen take turns going to different manors to help plow the land; otherwise, relying solely on the serfs to plow the land, they simply cannot cultivate much land.

Swamp Manor hired oxen to plow the fields in March, and they'll have to do it again in the fall.

A moment later, the convoy arrived at the castle gate.

The Glowing Fungus is a true war fortress, divided into an outer fortress and an inner fortress. The current gate is the gate of the outer fortress wall.

Knights dressed in dark armor guarded the gate.

"Halt!" The leading knight stepped forward, about to ask who they were, when he saw Leo on horseback.

He quickly bowed and said, "So it's Young Master Leo who's back. Cobb sends his greetings!"

Leo nodded from horseback: "Greetings, Sir Cobb."

"Let them through!" Cobb waved.

The guarding knights immediately opened the gates and watched Leo's caravan enter the castle. After passing through a brightly lit internal road, they arrived at the inner fort, which was the real castle, with a total of seven floors.

Various glowing trees surround the inner fortress.

There is a large, bare tree, which looks like a small mountain. It is a bare oak tree, and also a bare cordyceps tree.

"Young Master Leo is back!"

The guard quickly relayed the message, and soon someone came to greet them—it was Vincent, the castle's butler.

"Young Master Leo, welcome home." Vincent was probably in his thirties and was the newly appointed head butler of the castle.

Leo dismounted and nodded. "Has Grandmother returned?"

"The old lady returned the day before yesterday and has been talking about you ever since." Vincent was in charge of receiving Leo, while other servants helped settle the people Leo brought. Only Franken remained by Leo's side.

"Where is Father?"

"The master, young master Neander, Miss Lisa, young master Lipton, and the madam are all in the living room on the second floor, chatting with the old lady." Vincent led Leo through the door, which was as bright as day.

He continued, "The entire Lishi family also returned with the old lady."

"Hmm." Leo nodded.

Lancelot was his uncle, who was granted the estate of Windmill Manor and was also a knight, though he lived in Lancashire most of the year.

The Glowing Mushroom family has businesses in Lancashire, and Uncle Lux is mainly responsible for managing those businesses.

Grandmother loved watching plays, so she moved to Lancashire to live with her youngest son, Luke.

"Have all the guests arrived?" Leo asked as he walked.

The memories from his predecessor gave him a sense of returning home when he went back to the Glowing Fungus Castle.

Franken followed cautiously behind Leo.

Vincent replied with a smile, "The guests will probably start arriving tomorrow, and the old lady specifically instructed that the birthday banquet should be kept simple, so only in-laws have been notified, and not many people will come."

"Yes." Leo nodded.

She adopted a cool and aloof persona, speaking little and rarely, partly because that was how she was in the past, and partly to reduce the risk of exposure.

After all, he was a time traveler, not the real Leo Glowing Mushroom.

Upon reaching the second-floor living room, Vincent naturally pushed open the door, while Leo took a deep breath during the opening.

Adjust your mental state.

Bring Franken into the hall—a tutor is a very close bond, somewhat like a servant but more noble, so he can accompany Leo to more private occasions.

A faint floral fragrance wafts towards you.

Laughter followed, and the atmosphere in the living room was warm and lively. Several luxurious sofas were arranged in a circle, where nobles of all ages and genders, dressed in gorgeous clothes, sat, each with a male or female servant standing beside them.

Servants also carried trays, constantly offering drinks, snacks, and other refreshments.

Leo's gaze swept quickly across the room and he saw an elderly noblewoman sitting on the sofa, flanked by two young noblewomen who were holding her arms in a very intimate manner. It was none other than his grandmother, Cecilia.

The young noblewoman on the left is Leo's older sister, [Lisa Glowing Mushroom].

The young noblewoman on the right is Leo's sister-in-law, [Olive Starstripes].

Beside Lisa sat her husband, who was also Leo's brother-in-law, Phoenix Lantern Pepper, looking somewhat reserved; next to Olive sat Leo's older brother, Neander Fluorescent Mushroom, who was talking to a servant.

At each end of the long sofa are two short sofas.

On the right are two short sofas. One of them is occupied by someone Leo knows best, Baron Lenard the Glowing Fungus.

He has an ordinary appearance, but he exudes the aura of a castle owner.

On another short sofa sat a beautiful noblewoman in her thirties, the current Baroness Sandra Candlemoss, and with her sat a child, the Baron's youngest son, Lipton Glowing Fungus.

On the left are two short sofas. One is occupied by Leo's uncle, [Lisk Glowing Mushroom], and the other by Leo's aunt, [Marie Rose Flash Vine].

Each of them has a child with them, namely Leo's cousin [Liacco Glowing Mushroom] and cousin [Lifis Glowing Mushroom].

These are all the members of the Glowing Mushroom family.

The seats on the sofa were just right; Leo felt that if he joined in, there wouldn't be enough room.

"Young Master Leo is back." Vincent's voice broke the atmosphere in the living room.

The laughter stopped, and old lady Cecilia turned around, saw Leo, and chuckled, "Look who's here! Our family's most handsome young man has returned, Leo, come to your grandmother."

The fluorescent mushroom family is not known for its good looks.

The baron was of average appearance, except for his tall stature.

Leo not only inherited the Baron's tall stature, but also his mother Heather Evening Primrose's beauty.

He was exceptionally good-looking within his family.

"Grandmother, it's a pleasure to see you. You are still so healthy, blessed by the Holy Light." Leo walked over.

Then he greeted them in turn, his manner gentle and refined: "Father, Madam... Uncle, Aunt... Sister-in-law, Brother-in-law... Liaco, Lifis, it's been a long time."

"Handsome young man, come to your grandmother's house," old lady Cecilia beckoned.

Leo walked to the sofa. His sister Lisa showed no sign of moving, while his sister-in-law Olive stood up.

Leo didn't sit down, but instead sat next to his brother-in-law Phoenix on the armrest of the sofa: "Grandma, I'll just sit here."

"Are the young men too old to sit with their grandmother?" Cecilia said with a touch of self-pity, which made everyone chuckle. Then she said, "Come here, Leo, let your grandmother take a look at you."

Leo had no choice but to get up again and walk to Madam Cecilia.

The old lady grabbed his arm and spun him around.

She nodded and said, "I'm relieved that you haven't lost weight. I heard you were attacked by a Shadow Beast, and I haven't slept well these past two days. I asked your father to send a knight to visit you, but he always declined."
