The Knight of Light plants the sun in the eternal night.

"Mr. Franken!"

"I'm here, Leo."

"Make proper arrangements for the three hundred serfs sent by the Countess," Leo instructed, his heart filled with emotion.

The Countess's heart truly belonged to her.

He had previously told the Countess that he was going to Lancashire to buy serfs, and the Countess had obviously taken it to heart. Only a few days after he returned, she sent over three hundred serfs.

Although he had already acquired more than a thousand serfs and was no longer short of them, he still felt a sweet warmth in his heart.

He then led Grand Knight Zak and several knights who were escorting the serfs into Sunflower Castle and took their seats.

"This is a letter from the lady to you." Grand Knight Zack took out the letter.

The white envelope, stamped with silver foil, had the words "To Leo Glowing Fungus" written on the cover. The back was perfectly sealed with wax and stamped with a small seal of "Mariliana Rush".

"Thank you." Leo didn't intend to open the letter in front of Zack and the others.

Instead, he instructed Butler Deck to entertain the knights, and then, under the pretext of going upstairs to change his clothes, went directly to the small study.

Only then did they begin to open the letters.

Inside was a sheet of gold letter paper, probably sprinkled with gold powder during production. Nobles favored this kind of paper that could display their status.

"My dear Leo."

"It's been more than ten days since I left Sunflower Castle, but your image still resides entirely in my heart. I wish I could sprout wings and fly to Sunflower Castle every night to see you... Since you comforted me, I've started a new way of living..."

"I'm trying to win over distant relatives of the long taro family..."

"Knight Commander Zack is someone I trust, you can rely on him... From now on, he will be responsible for delivering our correspondence..."

"Take these three hundred serfs for now. Once I've secured my distant relatives, I'll provide you with more supplies... Instead of handing them over to Kevin's family, who are hostile to me, why not support my beloved knight?"

"Leo... loves you, Marina Juncus."

After reading the Countess's letter, Leo let out a long sigh of relief. Without a doubt, the Countess's heart belonged entirely to him.

from now on.

Even without his father, Baron Lenard, Leo was destined to rise to power, and the Countess was his greatest supporter.

The entire Long Taro Earldom is his foundation.

"It's just... a bit like being a kept man... no, I'm going to force myself to be a kept man!" Leo accepted the letter.

After the banquet was held for Knight Commander Zack and his entourage.

He then returned to his small study to prepare a reply to the Countess. He wrote some inspirational words to express his longing for her, and also wrote about the recent developments at the Marsh Estate.

Finally, he affirmed the Countess's plan to win over and corrupt distant relatives of the Long Taro family, but advised her to proceed cautiously and not to be too rash.

"Madam...you love you, Leo Glowing Fungus."

Leo used ordinary letter paper and plain kraft paper envelopes, unlike the luxurious ones used by the Countess.

Write the words "To Lady Mariana" on it.

Move the kerosene lamp over here.

Leo took out a wax sealing tool from his desk drawer, scooped out a little wax with a small spoon, and placed it over the lamp to smoke it.

Once the wax has melted, pour it onto the envelope and gently press it down with your small stamp.

A stamp bearing a name was placed on the wax seal.

Leo placed the sealed letter on his desk and sighed, "Writing letters... I suddenly miss high school. I even had pen pals back then... Now, I'm back to that feeling. It's good, it's good."

Early the next morning.

Leo handed the letter to Knight Commander Zach, then watched as the knights escorted twenty empty wagons back to Taro Castle.

Back in the castle, breakfast was served.

"Hmm, this breakfast is a little different today?" Leo looked at the familiar fried rice, bacon, white bread, milk tea, and vegetable salad.

The set menu remains the same, but the dishes have undergone significant changes.

Butler Dirk smiled and said, "Young master, this is breakfast prepared by Mrs. Nicole. She learned cooking from Mrs. Abby and has already mastered it. I thought I'd let you check it out and see if there's anything that needs improvement."

"Oh," Leo nodded.

Nicole is a genius chef recognized by the language of flowers. After Leo handed her over to Mrs. Abby as an apprentice, he didn't pay much attention to her anymore.

Unexpectedly, Nicole has already completed her apprenticeship in just over a week.

of course.

Nicole is a housewife who can cook, and Mrs. Abby's cooking skills are not difficult to learn, so it is only natural that she can master them sooner.

Leo began to taste the food. The bacon, white bread, and vegetable salad were no different from usual. The milk tea was more delicate. The biggest surprise was the fried rice, which had improved significantly in taste, with a perfect balance of saltiness and not greasy.

"Excellent!" Leo gave a satisfactory evaluation. "Mr. Dirk, go and call Mrs. Nicole over."

"Yes, young master."

Soon Mrs. Nicole approached nervously: "Young Master."

"Relax."

"Yes."

"This breakfast is quite good, especially the fried rice with eggs, it's just my taste," Leo said.

Mrs. Nicole finally relaxed: "Thank you for your approval, young master."

"Have you learned all of Mrs. Abby's cooking skills?"

"Yes." Mrs. Nicole was very proud of this, which was a testament to her absolute confidence in her culinary skills.

"Very good." Leo nodded, then instructed, "But learning these isn't enough; I need you to research more new dishes..."

Life is about eating, drinking, and having fun.

Leo was not a saint who had no desires; on the contrary, he was a man of both lust and gluttony: "I will give you some directions. Follow my directions and try to develop new dishes. If you do well, you will be richly rewarded."

Leo then instructed Butler Dirk: "Mrs. Abby will continue to be in charge of the castle's meals. As for Mrs. Nicole, open a separate kitchen for her in the outer castle and assign her a kitchen maid to assist her, who will be responsible for developing new dishes."

"Yes, young master."

"Thank you for your high regard, young master. I will definitely work hard to develop dishes that you like!" Mrs. Nicole nodded hurriedly.

A burning flame of ambition lurked in his eyes.

She loves to cook.

When I first entered the castle kitchen, my goal was to learn all the dishes as soon as possible and then replace Mrs. Abby.

But now, she has set a higher goal: to become Leo's personal chef.

What skill is it to cook for servants? The real skill is to cook for young master Leo and noble gentlemen!

"Go ahead, develop this 'tofu' dish first." Leo didn't hand over all the Chinese dishes to Mrs. Nicole at once, but rather one by one, starting with the most classic tofu dish.

Tofu isn't just something he personally enjoys eating.

It is a dish that can benefit all ordinary people.

In his past life, Leo was a liberal arts student. He couldn't do industrial research and development, but he could certainly make some affordable and delicious food.

After all, food is the most important thing for people.

"Tofu... Mapo tofu is my favorite!"
