The Knight of Light plants the sun in the eternal night.

Chapter 80 Young Master Has Me in His Heart

Chapter 80 Young Master Has Me in His Heart (Second Update)

Vanessa rode a shimmering crocodile, hovering in the air as she sped away, disappearing into the dark white night in the blink of an eye.

Leo stood on the dimly lit path until the light and shadow disappeared, then withdrew his melancholy gaze.

I felt a strange sense of loss.

Although Vanessa is ill, she is indeed a kind and pitiful girl.

Then, with a touch of melancholy, he thought: "Without the sun's mark to aid in the language of flowers and arrange an encounter, what would Vanessa's fate be? Would she become hopelessly lost in fantasy, ultimately forced to marry a strange knight? Would she grow old in sorrow?"

Leo quickly shook his head: "Aging is unlikely. Phantom Beast Knights can maintain their youth forever, aging very slowly. They might be seventy or eighty years old and still look like they're in their thirties—"

But in any case.

Without the mark of the sun, women like Vanessa Floating and Malelina Rush would likely have met a very unfortunate end.

"It's fate's favor upon me, and also fate's salvation for them," Leo thought rather narcissistically, looking at the sun mark on his palm. "I am the sun; follow me, and I will bestow light!"

One night passed.

The solar mark has been fully charged, but the flower language has not yet been triggered.

Today, the plants have quieted down again.

However, the manor remained lively. As evening approached, Leo was sparring with the old knight Rhodes when the manservant Thomas rushed over: "Young master, Lord Frankenstein and Lord Pluto's families have arrived."

"Oh, really?" Leo stopped training.

Upon returning to the castle, we saw several carriages parked at the gate, and many men, women, and children got out and waited at the gate.

"The lord has arrived!" a knight called out.

Immediately, Franken, Pluto, Harrison, and others, along with their families, bowed to Leo.

"No need for formalities." Leo extended his hand to help you up. "As the lord of the Swamp Manor, I am glad that you have settled here. Family reunion is the true essence of life. Don't look down on this remote place. The knights and I will work hard to build it into the next Glowing Town."

The tone has been set.

Leo then arranged for the castle kitchen to prepare a dinner to entertain the knights' families.

The knights, along with their families, carried their belongings to their new homes in their fortified villages. The serfs who worked there were filled with envy as they watched the knights' families move into new houses as soon as they arrived, but no one complained.

The Eternal Night Continent is a society with a strict hierarchy, and even commoners are divided into different classes.

Knights and priests, being extraordinary professionals, belong to one class; merchants and craftsmen, being free people, belong to another class; and serfs, including apprentice knights, apprentice priests, and craftsmen, belong to yet another class.

At the very bottom of the hierarchy were the serfs who could only do manual labor.

"Leo, this is my wife, Monica." Franken solemnly introduced his wife and children to Leo in their new home.

He has a family of four.

The couple has a son and a daughter. Their daughter, Virginia, is twelve years old, and their son, Fry, is seven.

"Greetings, Lord Leo!"

"Get up. You are Professor Franken's wife, my teacher's wife," Leo said gently.

This made Franken feel extremely proud.

However, Monica was a sensible woman, and upon hearing this, she quickly waved her hand: "No, no, Lord Leo, I am just an ordinary woman. It is our greatest honor that my Franken can work for you."

Franken could call Leo by his name, a bond formed by their teacher-student relationship, but Monica dared not overstep that line.

Leo looked at Franken's two children and said with a smile, "Rhodes is training the children. Let Virginia and Fry join in. If they have knightly talent, you'll have to nurture them well, Franken."

"Yes, I will ask Lord Rhodes to accept Virginia and Fry tomorrow," Franken said.

He added with some regret, "Unfortunately, I took Virginia to the monastery in town for a test, and she didn't have any affinity for the Holy Light element—now it's up to Frye to see how he performs. Of course, I'd prefer Frye to have knightly talent; boys should go to the battlefield."

"Don't be discouraged. What if you suddenly awaken one day?" Leo comforted him. "I'm a prime example of that."

"You are a descendant of the Glowing Fungus family, blessed by the Holy Light. I dare not hope for such a thing," Franken shook his head.

If the monastery doesn't detect any affinity for Holy Light, it's basically a death sentence; there's virtually no chance of anything going wrong.

In fact, Leo's situation was not unexpected.

It was the sun's mark that gave him a cheat code.

Otherwise, he would never have had the talent of a priest.

"Alright, you guys go ahead with your work." Leo walked out of the house and went to another room, Pluto's room.

Pluto's family has grown a bit.

Besides the couple, their six-year-old son Brown, three-year-old daughter Bunny, there were also Pluto's elderly parents and his wife Sofia's mother, a total of seven people, crammed into two rooms.

Fortunately, although each room in the fortified village is only four meters wide, it is a full seven meters long.

Furthermore, it can be expanded outwards, up to ten meters, which is enough to house many people.

Of course, the house hasn't been expanded yet, and it's a bit cramped for a family of seven.

"It's not crowded at all, sir. I've already planned to divide the house into smaller rooms, so everyone in the family can have their own room," Sofia said excitedly. "This is much more spacious than living in town."

"That's good." Leo nodded.

In no time, he had visited the homes of every knight, trying to win over the loyalty of his men.

Only the old knight Rhodes was alone.

His family members all live in Glowing Town, and his son Roy works for Glowing Mushroom Castle, so he naturally won't come along.

So he only asked for one room.

Leo planned to wait until the castle's trainee maids were trained before assigning a maid to the old knight Rhodes to take care of his daily life. He couldn't let the old knight Rhodes do his own laundry and cook every day, after all, he was a second-tier grand knight.

Return to Sunflower Castle.

The dog-crocodile, Dahei, was no longer in the pool at the main entrance.

When Ramos, the assistant butler, went out, he glanced at the pool and didn't see any crocodiles. He felt a little empty and disappointed, but soon a sense of accomplishment welled up inside him. The big crocodile that he had insisted on raising had finally come in handy.

Become Miss Vanessa's magical beast, a mount of light and shadow.

"How wonderful, Big Black!" Ramos's mind wandered. "Miss Vanessa may become the mistress of the manor in the future. The way she looks at the young master, and the way the young master looks at her—the two of them are really a perfect match."

Then she continued, "If Miss Vanessa becomes the mistress of the house, could I, through Big Black's contributions, become Miss Vanessa's confidant? Just like Butler Dirk was the young master's confidant?"

If that's the case.

He seemed to see a bright future ahead, where, with Miss Vanessa's support, he would be able to rival Butler Dirk at Swamp Manor.

"Hehe—" Ramos couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"What's making you so happy, Ramos?" Leo's voice pulled Ramos back to reality from his reverie.

Ramos blushed and quickly cleared his throat, saying in a deep voice, "Uh, young master, I was thinking of Big Black. With the Holy Light's blessing, I'm truly happy for it."

"Oh yes, speaking of Big Black, we have to thank you. If you hadn't insisted on feeding Big Black, it would have been slaughtered and eaten long ago," Leo said with a smile. "I'll have Butler Dirk tell the kitchen to add an extra cup of milk tea to your dinner tonight."

"Thank you, young master!" Ramos quickly expressed his gratitude.

Although the reward wasn't much, it warmed his heart. In the young master's heart, Ramos was gradually taking on a small place.
