Chapter 19 The New Car's Maiden Voyage, Destination: Muda!

On the beach, Ye Tian remained frozen in place, still watching them go.

Where's the car?

How could such a huge vehicle, a divine vehicle that embodies the pinnacle of Chinese technology and was personally modified by the Master, simply vanish into thin air?

Before he could report this bizarre scene to Qin Shiyue, a heart-wrenching alarm sounded from the communicator.

"Warning! 'Kunlun-1' signal lost! Repeat, 'Kunlun-1' has disappeared from all radars!"

"Reporting to Commander-in-Chief! We've lost track of Mr. [Sir]!"

The atmosphere on the command ship froze instantly.

Qin Shiyue clenched his fists, veins bulging on his forehead.

Lost them...

With current human technology, we don't even have the right to follow Mr. [Name]'s shadow.

It was an indescribable sense of frustration, but more than that, it was a deep-seated awe.

"Don't panic!" Qin Shiyue took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down. "How could we mere mortals possibly track the master's movements? Immediately shift all surveillance resources to the Bermuda Triangle! If the master said he was going there, he must be there!"

……

The Atlantic Ocean, the Bermuda Triangle.

The once calm and sunny sea is now shrouded in thick black clouds and violent lightning.

On the sea, a massive fleet of hundreds of rusty World War II warships emanated an ominous, eerie green glow. Like ghosts, they sailed through towering waves, their hulls shifting constantly between illusion and reality.

A modern aircraft carrier battle group flying the Stars and Stripes is facing off against this ghost fleet from afar.

"Fire! Fire! Send those damned ghost ships back to hell with missiles!"

The roar of the US military commander echoed throughout the command room.

However, both the whistling missiles and the barrage of artillery fire seemed to pass right through the ghost ships, creating meaningless splashes on the distant sea.

"General! Physical attacks are ineffective! Our attacks can't lock them down at all!"

"Report! The destroyer 'Poseidon' has lost contact! It has been rammed by a ghost battleship!"

On the screen, a 10,000-ton destroyer, upon contact with a semi-transparent giant battleship, had its entire hull seemingly erased by an invisible force, disappearing silently from the sea surface.

Despair spread throughout the entire carrier strike group.

Just then, the all-black convertible sports car appeared out of nowhere in the center of the two fleets.

It hovered quietly three meters above the sea, completely out of place with the surrounding terrifying, world-destroying scenery.

Lu Yuan leaned back in his seat, one hand on the steering wheel, and lit a cigarette with the other.

He glanced at the American fleet on his left, which was engulfed in gunfire, and then at the ghostly fleet on his right, his brows furrowing slightly.

"Making such a big fuss, I thought it was some kind of powerful figure."

He just wanted to test the new car's acceleration and drifting, but the scene was so chaotic that there wasn't even a track.

The Dragon Shield command ship, and all the agencies around the world monitoring the location via satellite, were in an uproar at the same time.

"Found it! In the center of the Bermuda Triangle! It's that car!"

"My God! He really teleported there!"

"What's he doing? He's in the eye of the storm... lighting a cigarette?"

Qin Shiyue and Dr. Chen exchanged a glance, both seeing understanding in each other's eyes.

"Unmoved by wind and rain, as stable as a mountain," Qin Shiyue murmured. "In your eyes, this so-called apocalyptic disaster is nothing more than ordinary scenery."

"He's waiting." Dr. Chen adjusted his glasses, his voice trembling with emotion. "He's waiting for us humans to have exhausted all our strength, to have reached the point of despair, before he intervenes! He's not simply trying to save us; he's giving us the courage to face despair!"

Before their interpretation of "Dihua" was even finished, the situation on the sea changed again.

A ghost cruiser seemed to take Lu Yuan's sports car as a provocation, turned its cannon around, and a black shell made of pure resentment roared toward Lu Yuan.

Lu Yuan didn't even look at the shell; he just thought the swirling smoke was a bit of a nuisance and waved it away casually.

The resentment shell, powerful enough to make a destroyer vanish into thin air, was swatted away in mid-air with a flick of his wrist, like swatting away flies.

The whole world was deathly silent.

Lu Yuan flicked his cigarette ash and finally decided to get down to business.

"It's too dark, turn on a light."

As soon as he finished speaking, he snapped his fingers towards the sky.

In an instant, the towering dark clouds and raging thunderstorms that had enveloped the entire Bermuda Triangle seemed to be wiped away by an invisible hand.

The wind is calm, the waves are still.

A ray of golden sunlight pierced through the clouds, transforming the apocalyptic scene of dark, overcast skies into a clear, cloudless sky in just three seconds.

The warm sunlight shone on those menacing ghost ships, making them look even more eerie.

"Alright, it's much brighter now." Lu Yuan nodded in satisfaction. "Since it's a ghost, it should look like a ghost."

He opened the GM panel, which only he could see, and found the script for this world event.

[World Event: The Lament of the Ghost Fleet]

[Unit Attributes: Spirit, 100% Physical Immunity, 80% Energy Resistance]

Lu Yuan glanced at it and found it somewhat uninteresting.

He stretched out his finger and lightly touched the words "100% physical immunity" to change it to "0%".

Then, he added a new line of code below.

[New Attribute: Quality Magnification 10000%]

After doing all this, he turned off the control panel, leaned back in his chair, and watched the massive ghost fleet with great interest.

The next second, something unexpected happened!

Those hundreds of ghost warships, which were originally able to sail on the sea, seemed to have been given ten thousand times the weight in an instant.

"Boom!"

With a sickening metallic creak, the keels of warships snapped instantly. They could no longer maintain their illusory forms; the eerie glow on their hulls vanished, revealing their rusted steel bodies.

They were no longer ghosts, but had become real, incredibly heavy steel coffins.

The entire fleet sank one after another into the deep sea, like dumplings being dropped into a pot, without even the slightest struggle.

The stunned US fleet commander didn't even have time to give the order to fire before the battle... was over.

Qin Shiyue trembled with excitement as he watched the images transmitted back to him on the screen.

"I understand! I completely understand!" he cried out hoarsely. "The sir isn't fighting, he's judging! He's stripped those souls of their 'divinity,' casting them back to the mortal realm to be judged by the laws of physics! This isn't magic, this is divine authority! It's the power to define the laws of all things!"

Lu Yuan yawned as he looked at the rapidly clearing sea.

"Test drive over, boring, going home."

Just as he was about to leave, a compass the size of a fist, emitting a faint light, flew out from the last and largest ghost flagship to sink and flew straight to him.

[System notification: Obtained special item "Lost Pointer of Eternity".]

Xiaoya's voice echoed in Lu Yuan's mind: "Sir, this is a coordinate recorder. It records an abnormal spatial coordinate that does not belong to the data framework of this world."

Lu Yuan picked up the antique brass compass and glanced at it.

"Anomaly space? Does that mean a hidden map?"

He casually tossed the compass into the car's glove compartment, placing it alongside the scroll of the "Preface to the Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion" and the "Tsar's" launch key.

"I'll save this for later; maybe I can browse it sometime when I'm bored."

The black sports car swayed in the air and then vanished without a trace once more.

All that remains is the calmed waters of the Bermuda Triangle and a bewildered US fleet, standing idly in the wind amidst countless shocked gazes from around the world.
