Xiu Gou's Taming Record
Chapter 27 Club Concept
Bai Xinran opened the door and poked half her body out: "Your classmate left?"
"Yeah, I just left." He glanced at her. "Can you please stop being so honest in the future? When people ask if you live here, just say no, isn't that enough?"
"What's wrong?" Bai Xinran tilted her head to look at him. "Is it affecting your ability to pick up girls?" She scoffed. "Didn't you ask me to stay here yourself? Now you're worried people will misunderstand our relationship?"
"I'm not afraid," Yu Heng pouted, "but it's too much trouble."
"I don't care," Bai Xinran said confidently, raising her chin. "That's just how I am; I don't lie!"
Yu Heng was amused by her appearance and sat up closer, saying, "Aren't you afraid people will say there's something going on between you and me?"
"I haven't done anything shameful," Bai Xinran retorted defiantly, "An upright person has nothing to fear!"
"Tsk," Yu Heng suddenly lowered his voice, "If you keep arguing with me like this, I might really start doing something shameful."
Bai Xinran suddenly shrank back, grabbing a towel to cover her chest: "You dare!"
"See if I dare." Yu Heng leaned closer, and he could smell the scent of her freshly showered shampoo.
Bai Xinran was flustered by his sudden approach and subconsciously took a half step back, her back against the door frame: "Don't do anything rash! I'll call for help!"
"Go ahead and shout," Yu Heng said with a sly grin, taking another step closer, almost touching her face. "It's just the two of us in this house. Who can hear you if you shout? None of the villas around here are inhabited."
"Boss, this is workplace sexual harassment!" Bai Xinran retorted, her ears turning red. "I'm reporting you to the labor bureau!"
"Sue me?" Yu Heng raised an eyebrow. "Then you'll have to prove you're my employee first. Did we sign a contract?"
"Why wasn't it signed?! It's in black and white!"
"That's a cooperation agreement, not an employment contract."
"You! You scoundrel!"
"But shouldn't you call the police?" Yu Heng chuckled. "The Labor Bureau doesn't handle this, you idiot."
"Then I'll call the police and have you arrested!" Bai Xinran stared at him.
"Alright, I'll stop teasing you." Yu Heng knew when to stop, straightened up, and distanced himself. "Go get ready for your live stream."
Bai Xinran breathed a sigh of relief, but still retorted, "You always bully me!"
"Well, who told you to be so easy to bully?" Yu Heng shrugged, turned and walked towards the living room. "Hurry up, it's almost time."
Bai Xinran gritted her teeth and slammed the door shut.
Yu Heng couldn't help but smile when he heard the door open.
This girl is all bark and no bite, but she's actually a coward.
He slumped back onto the sofa, and just as he turned on his phone, he heard Bai Xinran shouting from the room, "Boss! The network seems a bit slow, come take a look!"
Yu Heng sighed, resignedly got up and walked over: "What is it now?"
Pushing open the door, Bai Xinran was sitting in front of the computer, frowning: "I just tried streaming, but it's not very stable."
Yu Heng bent down to check the router, while Bai Xinran kept nagging beside him: "Is it because it's raining today? Or is it a problem with the equipment?"
"Don't make a sound," Yu Heng said without turning his head. "Let me see."
While he was making adjustments, Bai Xinran quieted down, and the only sound in the room was the clicking of the keyboard.
Yu Heng could feel her gaze fixed on his back.
"Alright," he straightened up, "try again."
Bai Xinran quickly opened the testing software, her eyes lighting up: "Hey, it really works! Boss, you're amazing!"
"Stop flattering me," Yu Heng glanced at her, "Next time, handle these little problems yourself."
"Okay~" Bai Xinran stuck out her tongue. "The boss is here, isn't that right?"
Looking at her shameless expression, Yu Heng suddenly remembered something: "By the way, aren't you recording a video for submission tomorrow?"
"Okay!" Bai Xinran nodded. "I'm going to record a self-introduction to add a personal brand to myself!"
"What kind of persona?" Yu Heng raised an eyebrow. "Xiu Gou?"
"Pretty much!" Bai Xinran proudly raised her chin. "A Xiu Gou from another world, an invincible juicer!"
Yu Heng sized her up: "Tsk, how invincible are you? Can I try?"
"Hey! Boss, stop kidding me!" Bai Xinran pushed him out. "I'm going to start my live stream, you'd better get out!"
Yu Heng laughed as she pushed him out the door, back into the living room, turned on the TV, and randomly picked a program to watch.
Not long after, Bai Xinran's live stream began.
Yu Heng looked at the scrolling comments and mentally calculated this week's revenue.
If this trend continues, I should be able to get a lot of commission by the end of the month.
He'll get at least 20,000 to 30,000.
But for some reason, Yu Heng felt uneasy.
The money is made quickly, but ultimately it's all thanks to Bai Xinran alone.
If she decides to stop broadcasting one day, or if the audience gets tired of it, the cash flow could be cut off at any time.
He needs to find a way to make the plate bigger.
Rent a proper office? Hire a few more full-time live streamers?
Then the costs will skyrocket.
The fixed expenses alone, such as venue rental, equipment investment, and staff salaries, amount to tens of thousands of yuan per month.
The 500,000 yuan he has now sounds like a lot, but if he actually invests it, he might not even see a ripple.
The risk is too great.
He suddenly remembered that he had accompanied Ning Yutong to the club's recruitment event today.
Yeah! Clubs!
The university town has art colleges, and their campuses here are all art-related majors, so there is no shortage of talented students.
They can draw, sing and dance, make videos, and even do 3D modeling...
If we could form a club and bring all these people together...
If it's running smoothly, this is all cheap or even free labor.
The more Yu Heng thought about it, the more reliable the idea seemed.
If this really works out, then we'll have streamers, illustrators, and video editors all we need.
He has the potential to build a complete content production chain.
Even if individual streamers don't make money, as long as the overall business is profitable, that's fine.
Even if things don't work out in the east, they might work out in the west; it's still better than Bai Xinran being all alone right now.
Should we ask Qin Lu?
He organized his thoughts and started sending messages to Qin Lu.
Yu Heng: "Good evening, counselor. I'm sorry to bother you. I have something I'd like to ask you."
After waiting a few minutes, Qin Lu replied: "What is it? Tell me."
Yu Heng: "Well, the income from the virtual streamer I've been running these past few days has been quite considerable, so I was thinking about whether I could initiate a student club for virtual streamers within our college?"
Yu Heng: "This club can provide a platform for students who are interested in live streaming, short videos, and virtual avatar design to exchange ideas and practice. We can invite experienced seniors or industry professionals to share their experiences, organize students to work on projects together, and even connect them with some business opportunities. Firstly, it allows students to truly apply what they learn in class and improve their experience and abilities. Secondly, it can also provide students with some income to ease the burden on their families. Thirdly, if they achieve real results, it will also be a good thing for our school."
