Chapter 152 Quidditch
Chapter 154 Quidditch
At 10 a.m., the Quidditch pitch was bustling with noise.
Felix walked into the bustling stadium and stepped onto the nearest spectator platform. Suddenly, a deafening cheer erupted from the stadium as a blurry figure in a bright red robe threw a Quake into the goal.
Commentator Li Jordan said, "Beautiful goal! Gryffindor has won a game back, and Slytherin is currently leading 60 to 30. Their Super Broom has played a huge role."
"I have to give Wood credit; without him, Gryffindor's score would have been even more lopsided!"
Felix's gaze swept across the audience on the other platforms, and soon he spotted a middle-aged man with platinum hair, Lucius Malfoy, on the Slytherin Mats, which was painted with green patterns.
Beside him stood a timid little house-elf.
Lucius's gaze was fixed on his son, Draco Malfoy, who was currently entangled with Harry. Using his superior speed, he made a showy stop mid-air, turned around, and said, "Your reaction time is a bit slow, Scarface?"
Harry held his breath, verbally ignoring Draco, his eyes constantly darting around. Whether it was the Easter holidays or the past week, whenever there was a spare moment, Wood would make them do crazy extra practice.
"We are at the pinnacle of history!" Wood encouraged the players before the game.
Harry agreed. This was their closest chance to win the championship. He climbed higher and higher, sometimes turning, sometimes spinning, sometimes plummeting, sometimes spiraling upwards, and sometimes meandering east and west, taking a zigzag route.
Draco followed closely behind him, but he didn't have time to provoke Harry.
The intense chase lasted for two or three minutes, until even Harry felt dizzy and had to stop.
Soon after, Slytherin scored another goal.
Harry couldn't help but feel anxious. According to the three tactics Wood had devised before the match, the ideal scenario was that he could catch the Golden Snitch as soon as possible and not give Slytherin the opportunity to extend their lead.
Slytherin's strategy was the opposite: to stall for time. Once the match lasted two or three hours and their stamina was low, they would dominate the battlefield with their broomsticks.
This is also why Draco kept harassing Harry.
On the high platform, Felix calmly read the game. Under the effects of accelerated thinking and the Extrasensory Charm, he was extremely sensitive, able to detect even the slightest change in the wind or cloud on the field.
The previously blurry shadows became clear, and he could even see the fleeting expressions on the team members' faces.
He included the fourteen players on the field in his calculations, and Felix tried to predict their trajectories.
It's like engaging in a high-quality duel.
This was the first time he experienced the charm of Quidditch, although his reasons were different from others.
"Indeed, one shouldn't be too stubborn," Felix thought to himself.
When the score settled at 110:60, a blurry golden shadow flashed across Harry's eye, and at the same time, Felix's gaze also fixed on this small figure.
Harry had a trick up his sleeve. He deliberately flew in the opposite direction, and Draco, as expected, followed. Just as he was about to turn around and laugh at Potter again, he found that Harry had already disappeared from sight.
"He's under the platform!" a Slytherin player shouted at him.
Lee Jordan also noticed this: "Look! Harry has fooled Malfoy, he's chasing the Golden Snitch! We can't see him, Harry must be in the shelf!"
The stadium fell silent; everyone held their breath.
Even the players on both sides were suspended in mid-air, waiting for the result.
Wood, positioned beside the goal, yelled angrily, "Don't stop, Angelina, Katie, keep attacking!"
However, just a dozen seconds later, before they could even organize their next attack, Harry rushed out with the Golden Snitch in his hand, circling the field and receiving cheers from the crowd.
"A brilliant moment! Harry caught the Snitch, the match is over! Gryffindor wins, final score 110:210!"
Lucius Malfoy stood up, raised his head expressionlessly, kicked Dobby aside, and walked off the platform.
After a short wait, Felix also stood up and followed from a distance. Lucius stopped at the edge of the field, waiting for Draco to appear. Small groups of young wizards walked out of the field one after another, enthusiastically discussing the game.
Felix touched his body with his wand, and his blue robe gradually faded until it blended into the environment.
He brushed past Lucius.
As Harry walked off the pitch surrounded by Gryffindor, he caught a glimpse of Lucius scolding Draco, who was looking at him with a pained expression and saying nothing.
This made him even happier, and although there were still a few games to go, he believed that Gryffindor would eventually lift the Quidditch Cup.
After walking a short distance, Harry suddenly noticed the house-elf beside Lucius.
His eyes widened instantly. "It's Dobby!"
He's a house-elf of the Malfoys?!
Harry stared at Dobby in disbelief. Dobby noticed his gaze, looked over with his tennis ball-sized eyes, and waved at Harry.
But Lucius had already finished scolding his son and strode away, the elf following closely behind. Before disappearing completely, he gave Harry a pitiful look.
……
Evening, in the auditorium.
"What did you say! Dobby is from the Malfoy family?" Ron stared at Harry in astonishment, the chicken leg in his hand dangling in mid-air.
"Shh! Keep your voice down," Harry looked around to make sure no one was watching, then whispered to Ron and Hermione, "I saw it with my own eyes, right when they came out of the pitch."
Hermione cautiously asked, "Harry, what do you think? Is this all a Malfoy conspiracy, or Dobby's doing all by himself?"
Harry wasn't sure either; he could sense Dobby's respect for him, but he couldn't ignore the long-standing traditions of house-elves.
After leaving the auditorium, they walked in the garden, engaging in a heated discussion.
"I think Dobby can be trusted, Harry," Hermione analyzed. "The danger he's referring to is the Chamber of Secrets, which we've discussed. If it's all part of Malfoy's scheme, he wouldn't have bothered adding anything more."
Harry also leaned towards this view, while Ron's opinion was more neutral: "While you have a point, I've never heard of a house-elf disobeying its master's orders."
During her spellbook lesson that evening, Hermione asked a question: "Do house-elves disobey their masters' orders?"
Professor Hyp's answer was meaningful: "Generally speaking, no. But a contract cannot bind a free will."
Because of the need to wrap things up, the author needs to review the previous content again, making sure all the details are covered, which takes a lot of time. So please don't say the author's writing is too short; 6,000 words is really difficult. The bonus chapter for the patron won't be missed; let the updates run smoothly for a while…
