A certain Hogwarts professor of runes

Chapter 205 Harry's Battle

Chapter 207 Harry's Battle

Harry pressed on, "You must know something—"

Snape waved his wand and muttered "Turn your ears and ears" to mute their conversation. He said, word by word, "You're too nosy, Potter! A few compliments and you think you're some kind of savior. If it weren't for your mother's sacrifice, you'd be nothing!"

Harry felt a churning in his stomach, a mixture of relief and sadness. He was relieved that he had made the right bet, that Snape really did know more inside information, but he was saddened that Snape had mentioned his mother. What was there that Snape didn't know?

Moreover, Snape was shamelessly mocking him, describing him as a petty man who had narrowly escaped death and stole fame that did not belong to him, which made him furious.

He couldn't help but clench his wand, wishing he could immediately cast a bat curse on Snape. He felt the name of the curse suited Snape perfectly—he looked just like a dirty, big bat.

Snape noticed Harry's movements, his cold eyes narrowing as he said with ill intent, "Want to make a move, Potter? I'll give you the chance..."

Harry took two deep breaths and said stiffly, "No, you're not the one I'm looking for." He took a few steps back, turned to look at Felix not far away, and said loudly, "I choose Professor Hyp."

Snape looked very surprised. In his judgment, Potter would definitely be angered, and then he could teach him a lesson in a fair and square way.

To be honest, he was really looking forward to this scene.

But this kid actually refused! How dare he!

Snape reluctantly retreated to the edge of the stage, while Felix and Harry faced each other closely, bowing with their wands held high in front of their chests.

Harry whispered, "Professor, if I can hold on for two minutes, can you grant me a request?"

Felix looked at him and smiled, "Like during special training?"

“That’s right,” Harry said quickly. He had no intention of getting information about his father and Sirius Black from Snape; it was just a coincidence. Now was his real plan: “Just like when I first succeeded, I invited you to come with me to see the Firebolt samples in the Quidditch shop.”

"I let you win that time to boost your confidence," Felix said.

"I know, but I've made progress too," Harry said.

After a brief exchange, the two bowed to each other, took seven steps in opposite directions, and then turned to face each other.

Felix showed no intention of making the first move, Harry understood; it was just like what had happened in the Leaky Cauldron's basement.

He swung his wand violently, shouting, "Immediately imprison!" A rope, thin as a snake, flew toward the opponent. Without even looking at the effect, he took two steps back and then cast a silent disarming spell.

Felix stood there smiling. The moment the rope touched his body, it softened rapidly. He tilted his head to avoid the red arc of light. He then unleashed two spells, one crimson and one gold.

"Protect the Armor!" Harry had prepared the Armor Charm in advance. One spell grazed the magical barrier, while the other struck the Armor Charm directly with a muffled thud.

Harry silently counted the numbers in his mind. This was a pattern he had figured out. During his special training, Professor Hyp never knocked him down all at once in order to train him. There was always a certain interval between each spell he cast, which gave him a glimmer of hope.

He silently counted to eight, then dodged, a powerful spell shattering the armor curse. He scrambled to his feet, unleashing three or four stunning spells – "Stun! Stun! Stun!"

Without any visible movement, a faint magical barrier appeared in front of Felix, blocking Harry's spell. Then, he stretched out his hand, and the magical barrier transformed into seven or eight blunt-tipped arrows, flying towards Harry.

"Whoosh!" The arrows made a whistling sound.

Hari cast a freezing spell, freezing the arrow in mid-air, and then immediately lunged to the side.

The arrow paused for a second or two before continuing its trajectory and striking the wooden floor with a suspicious thud.

"Hiss hiss hiss!"

In less than thirty seconds, the two displayed a powerful offensive and defensive exchange, drawing the attention of many. Professor Hyp was undoubtedly very relaxed, something the young wizards were used to, but Harry's performance was hard to understand.

His familiarity with dueling surprised everyone.

Harry was indeed in a sorry state, spending most of his time dodging, rolling, and retreating in a disheveled manner... but he always managed to seize the opportunity to counterattack, releasing spells far more frequently than the previous students.

Moreover, his expression was very calm, completely unlike the panicked people before him.

Harry kept running around the stage, trying to distance himself from Professor Hyp.

Two minutes is a long time, and Harry had to be careful with his words, something he had never considered before. Despite knowing his spells were useless, he kept retaliating, trying to disrupt the professor's attack frequency.

But to his despair, Professor Hyp continued his attacks at a steady pace, about once every seven or eight seconds, and never changed his stance despite his interference.

"I'm still far from good enough!"

"Based on this reasoning, I'm no match for Sirius Black!"

Harry grew anxious. He tried desperately to remind himself that it wasn't the right time, but he couldn't help but let his mind wander.

While running, he was struck by a binding spell and tripped and fell to the ground.

His glasses flew off, and Harry looked up blankly, vaguely seeing a blurry figure opposite him raising a wand.

"No!"

He struggled to raise his wand and shouted, "Expelliarmus!"

A blazing red beam of light was unleashed, resembling a laser the thickness of a wrist, faintly emitting a white glow.

The spell spanned over ten meters and collided head-on with the disarming spell that Felix was unleashing.

"what?"

Felix subtly increased the power of the spell, bringing the two disarming spells to a draw.

From the perspective of the young wizards, Harry and Professor Hyp were evenly matched for a moment, their spells clashing fiercely, producing crackling sounds and arcs of magic.

Half of the auditorium erupted in cheers.

"Is that Harry's Disarming Charm? How did he learn it?!"

"Legend has it that he used this spell to destroy the Dementors that were trying to attack him..."

"He's only in third grade. No wonder he's the savior who defeated the mysterious man."

Do you think he can win?

"...You're overthinking it, but I think it's possible in the future!"

Standing in the corner, Snape watched in astonishment. He had never known that Harry could unleash magic of such power. It far exceeded the level he usually displayed.

Then he noticed the appearance of another person.

It's Lupin!

He looked extremely haggard, his gray hair seemed even more striking, and his clothes were patched. He appeared in the Great Hall at some point and was looking at Harry with concern.

Their eyes met, and Lupin nodded in a friendly manner before staring intently at Harry.

On the gilded arena, Harry desperately maintained the spell. He didn't know how much time had passed; every second felt like an eternity, but he hoped he could hold on a little longer.

Perhaps he's held on for two minutes? That way, Professor Hyp won't refuse his request. Harry thought to himself.

Felix's spell was terrifyingly consistent, never weakening in the slightest. Harry watched helplessly as the magic on his side was suppressed.

He gritted his teeth and persevered, his vision began to blur, and the world spun around him; he was no stranger to this feeling.

"The next second, I should be collapsing on the carpeted floor; it will feel uncomfortable, but not too painful..."

"Thump!"

Harry crashed to the ground. "Ouch!" Tears streamed down his face.

He suddenly realized that he wasn't training in the basement of the Leaky Cauldron, but on the gilded stage in the school auditorium, with only bare, hard wooden planks beneath him.

"Harry~ Harry~" He heard a gentle voice calling, and someone crouched down, but he could no longer tell who it was.

He completely lost consciousness.

Felix stopped a distance away as he watched Professor Lupin, who had lost his composure, lunge at Harry.
