Chapter 279 Grimmauld Place
"I will appear before him, I will go myself, but not today. And like I said—I don't trust you." Black spread his hands. "I don't know if you will hand me over to the Ministry of Magic because of Snape. I don't dare to gamble."
"You mean—if I understand correctly, you don't believe me, but you want me to tell Dumbledore about Peter Pettigrew and clear your name? Don't you think your logic is strange?" Felix asked, somewhat amused.
"Ha~ seeking justice? That's too far removed from my thoughts. I have my own methods, a second plan, understand? I don't trust you, but I'm not worried about you leaking information, because Snape is also Peter's enemy, provided he knows the truth. You can discuss that with him."
Felix remained silent. Peter had already escaped, and according to Lupin, he was likely hiding near Hogwarts, keeping a close eye on things, but no one could catch a mouse.
Moreover, the Keeper of the Secret... The Potters secretly replaced the Keeper of the Secret at the Safe House, and even Dumbledore was unaware of this, which is why everyone firmly believed that Black was a traitor.
The biggest question has been answered.
Next comes the cleanup: secretly hand Sirius Black over to Dumbledore and let him worry about it.
As for Blake's reluctance... knocking him unconscious is a good option, and I can also get some of his blood to break the magical restrictions on Grimmauld Place 12.
Felix looked up. "I insist on taking you with me." He raised his wand, and a thin stun spell flew out. Since Black wasn't a traitor, this level of power was enough.
To his surprise, Blake blocked his magic.
Black staggered back several steps, pulling a wand from behind his back as he looked triumphantly at Felix. "See, I told you..." The next second, his entire body twisted and turned into smoke—
Apparition!
The second wand!
Felix instantly understood everything. He vanished from his spot at an even faster speed and appeared in front of Blake in the blink of an eye. He reached into the smoke and could even see Blake's face, which was distorted with surprise.
The next second, the two of them disappeared.
Space was changing and distorting. Felix staggered out, having followed Blake's phantom teleportation and losing control of his destination. Before him was an unfamiliar earthen slope with strangely growing trees and black stones scattered all over the ground.
Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of a dark cave entrance. Was it the den of some wild beast where Blake was hiding? He discerned the direction; this should still be the Forbidden Forest, but extremely deep inside, possibly close to the other side.
Blake rolled twice on the ground, but without even looking around, the moment he regained consciousness, he used Apparition again. If he did it twice, would that terrifying guy still be chasing after him?
He simply couldn't believe that such a person existed, able to instantly appear in someone else's presence the moment they Apparated, thus revealing their follower...
His body began to contort into a cloud of smoke, and he knew he had succeeded—a remarkable feat. Using this spell repeatedly had been incredibly taxing on him, and he was far from being at his best.
But what sent chills down his spine was that he felt a hand grab his neck. He opened his eyes and saw a hazy mist all around him, with scenery rushing by. But he knew that the speed of Apparition had been forcibly reduced.
He saw Felix's calm eyes, their gazes met, and Blake understood his meaning: You can't escape!
The next second, Blake was thrown out. His stomach churned and he couldn't help but gag, but he immediately forced himself to use Apparition for the third time.
This time, he was almost completely exhausted. A corner of his tattered robe was silently torn open, a sharp pain shot through his brow, and warm liquid blurred his vision. Split body, this was a split body…
The apparition ended, and his vision went completely black. He couldn't help but pray that it would succeed.
Then he heard a familiar voice, "Why did you think of coming here? Can't you still forget after all these years?"
Blake sat up abruptly, wiping his eyes. Through his blood-red vision, he found himself in a Muggle community, everything both familiar and strange to him. He hadn't returned since leaving at sixteen.
This is Grimmauld Place, where the Black House is hidden.
Blake got up from the ground, touched his forehead, and saw bloodstains between his fingers. He was indeed separated, but it wasn't serious. He wasn't missing any arms or legs, nor was he immobilized.
The young man opposite me was scrutinizing me, showing no intention of making a move. Are you trying to make me admit defeat?
Dream on! He's just had a brilliant idea.
Black waved his wand, and spells flew out amidst bursts of red flames as he shouted, "Kreacher!"
Felix's heart skipped a beat, and he slowed his attack. An ugly, old house-elf suddenly appeared beside Sirius Black. "Take me inside!" Black said, as he tried his best to attack, but the occasional spells thrown back by the house-elf were already overwhelming him.
Kreacher stood beside Black, babbling on and on: "The young master is a wretched, ungrateful scoundrel who broke his mother's heart. He's been gone for over a decade, and his first return has brought a powerful enemy. He hasn't fulfilled a single responsibility—"
"Shut up! Take me in, now!" Black roared, his wand emitting a dazzling white light. A powerful spell condensed in mid-air into a dozen rusty iron arrows, which whistled through the air and hurtled toward Felix.
Meanwhile, Kreacher reluctantly extended his withered fingers and placed them on Sirius Black's knee, and they disappeared into the clearing.
Felix twirled his wand lightly, turning the iron arrows into thin ropes that slumped to the ground. His gaze pierced through layers of magical barriers, landing on Black slumped on the steps of an old mansion, his ill-fitting wand tossed aside, panting heavily.
He laughed heartily, "I won! How did it go about teasing Lord Blake? Didn't it feel bad? Oh ho!" He let out a series of strange shouts as if venting his anger.
Kreacher stood beside him, clad only in a filthy rag, and muttered in a hoarse, low voice, "What a foolish thing it is for the noble, profligate son of the Black family to be thankful for escaping death and to provoke a powerful enemy he cannot contend with..."
"Shut up, Kreacher! Can't I enjoy myself for a moment?"
……
In Grimmauld Place, Felix walked to the spot where Sirius Black had disappeared, crouched down, and picked up a drop of blood from the ground.
