Delta: Who are you saying has suffered a loss of strength?
Chapter 369 Shooting in the Dark
"Yes, Sister Qiuying!"
Qi Yuzhe stood behind her, clapping his hands with a sincere expression of admiration.
Qiu Ying looked down at the black R93 in her hand, her fingers gently stroking the handguard. "I'm not as good at sniping as you. I watched that live stream recording before; watching you fire from the victim's perspective, it was too fast."
"So fast that you can't even see when you're aiming; you just jump out and blow someone's head off."
"It's fast because I'm not using it as a sniper rifle," Qi Yuzhe explained, slowing his speech.
"The purpose of using a sniper rifle at close to medium range is to achieve the effect of killing the enemy with one shot, eliminating the enemy in the shortest possible time."
"This usage is no longer sniping in essence. You can think of it as me using a sniper rifle as a shotgun that can shoot a little further, like a lottery ticket."
"Whether you can hit the target while jumping or swaying depends mainly on whether the opponent cooperates."
"If the opponent doesn't land the hit, I won't lose anything. I can just retreat, change positions, and try again. If they do land it, I'll gladly take the kill." He glanced at Qiu Ying, "Sister Qiu Ying, you can try this tactic too; it can sometimes be surprisingly effective."
Qiu Ying walked a few steps in silence, going over Qi Yuzhe's words in her mind.
She had always thought that Han Che and Qi Yuzhe's fast sniping skills relied on their aiming speed being a level faster than others, but now she realized that there was a completely different tactical logic behind it compared to traditional sniping.
"So that's how it is."
Qi Yuzhe smiled and didn't say anything more.
He didn't lie to Qiu Ying, but what he didn't mention was that his and Han Che's innate aiming ability was far superior to that of ordinary people.
These things can't be spoken or explained clearly, so let's just leave them at the level of "skills".
Ordinary people might be able to master it, but as he just said, it mainly depends on luck and prediction.
The three continued walking, chatting as they went.
Qiu Ying and Mule asked a lot of questions, and Qi Yuzhe answered them all.
As a perennial shooting guard, Qi Yuzhe is indeed more suitable to teach these two tactical skills than Han Che.
They had consulted Han Che before, and the answers they received were mostly: "What to do if you're being directly attacked? Just peek twice to pinpoint the location and then finish her off!"
"A pincer attack? A two-pronged attack! Push the left flank back to attack the right, then kill the right side and turn around to attack the left. Simple!"
Although they knew Han Che wasn't bragging and that he really did fight that way, they couldn't get any useful guidance, so they stopped asking.
Along the way, the initial awkwardness between Qiu Ying and Mule and Qi Yuzhe had indeed lessened considerably.
Unfortunately, both teams from Club 78 were teleported to the very edge of the map.
The three of them teleported to the regular evacuation point on the west side of Dam Zero.
As they approached the shallows, Qiu Ying was the first to notice the figure ahead.
The three people stood on a small earthen slope at the edge of the shallows, their backs to us, the dark red team uniforms of the Phoenix Cry Club standing out against the background.
Qiu Ying squinted at the two people beside her and said, "Feng Ming's people, Team Two."
The three people had obviously noticed the commotion behind them. One of them turned around and said something to the other two. The three of them stopped in their tracks and turned to wait for Qiu Ying and the others to approach.
Qiu Ying and the others quickened their pace. As they approached, they could see the face of the leader clearly. He was of medium build, around thirty years old, and had a phoenix emblem embroidered on his epaulets. Qiu Ying remembered that his surname was Ma.
The man spoke first, his tone flat: "A few of you from Club 78? Where did you come from?"
"Over at the evacuation point on the west side," Qiu Ying replied. "And you?"
"We came from the cement factory area," Captain Ma said. "Since we've run into each other, let's go together; it's not far."
Qiu Ying nodded in agreement, then asked, "Why are you waiting here?"
Captain Ma gestured to the two team members behind him, "I heard gunshots behind us, so I stopped to check, and sure enough, there were people." As he spoke, his gaze swept over the sniper rifle on Qiu Ying's back, "You fired that? Did you encounter an NPC?"
Qiu Ying understood; it must have been the sound of the sniper rifle she had fired earlier.
"We encountered them, but there weren't many, and we've already dealt with it," Qiu Ying replied.
"Hehe," a team member next to Captain Ma chuckled, "We've cleared this entire cement pipe road, so it's normal that you haven't encountered many." He spoke casually, his expression nonchalant, as if he were talking about something insignificant.
Another teammate next to him laughed, "Yeah, yeah, these Asara soldiers are only slightly better equipped than before, and they're still as clueless as headless flies. They're too easy to kill."
"I don't think Saeed is that strong. Isn't it a bit of a waste to have so many people ganging up on him?"
The two men started chatting amongst themselves, their tone casual and arrogant, as if to say, "This kind of mission isn't worth our time."
Captain Ma walked ahead and listened without interrupting or responding.
After the two had finished speaking, Captain Ma turned his head and said, "Hey, don't talk nonsense. The fact that he was the first to kill Said is his own skill. Don't spout nonsense."
The two replied lazily, "Yes..." drawing out the last syllable. After speaking, they glanced at each other, their smiles still lingering on their lips.
Captain Ma turned around and nodded slightly to Qiu Ying, a polite but not very sincere smile on his face. "Please excuse me, it was just banter and nonsense, don't take it to heart. Let's hurry on our way."
Qiu Ying nodded with a forced smile. "Let's go, Captain Ma."
All three of them knew that these people looked down on them and Han Che, and felt that their club was not worthy of being on par with them.
It's also their fault that Han Che, an unknown figure from a small club, stole the limelight from their top club, which made them very unhappy.
The mule walked at the back of the group, baring its teeth. "Stop pretending. If you're so capable, go kill them yourself. Sister Qiuying, lend me your gun. I want to shoot them."
Qiu Ying turned around. She knew Mule was joking, but she still asked, "Why are you using my gun?"
"Because I'm going to shoot from the shadows!" Mule's voice was low, accompanied by a deliberately menacing expression.
"..." The air fell silent for a moment.
Qiu Ying looked down at the all-black R93 in her hand, then looked up at Mule's deliberately fierce face, and couldn't help but laugh and scold, "It's so cold."
