Delta: Who are you saying has suffered a loss of strength?

Chapter 410 Progress of the United Nations

Early in the morning, Han Che and Qi Yuzhe entered Club 78 one after the other.

Neither of them walked very briskly. Han Che stared at his dark circles and rubbed the corners of his eyes with the back of his hand as he walked.

Qi Yuzhe followed behind him, not in much better shape either, his hair sticking up and all messy.

Mule was already at the club, bending over and fiddling with a few bottles of water on the coffee table. Hearing the noise at the door, he looked up and asked, "Brother Han is here? Why do you look so listless? Didn't you get enough rest?"

Han Che took off his coat and casually draped it over the back of the chair. He plopped down on the sofa, let out a long yawn, and then spoke, "I slept a little late, it's okay, no big deal."

He squinted his eyes as he spoke, as if he wanted to close them a little longer.

Everyone from the club had already arrived, and Han Che only then noticed that even Lao Zhou was there.

Old Zhou sat in a chair against the wall, wearing a dark jacket. He looked much better than when he was in the hospital last time, and his complexion was rosier.

Han Che propped himself up on the sofa and greeted him, "Old Zhou, you're discharged from the hospital? How's your recovery going?"

Old Zhou smiled, raised his right hand, and patted his chest. "It wasn't too serious to begin with, I'm fine now!"

As he spoke, he stretched out his arm and gestured, as if to show that he could move it freely.

Then his gaze fell on Qi Yuzhe next to Han Che, and he looked him up and down. "I watched that live stream. This must be Qi Yuzhe, right? He's so young!"

Qi Yuzhe was leaning against the door, not yet seated. Hearing Old Zhou call his name, he bowed slightly and said modestly, "You flatter me, Brother Zhou."

Old Zhou waved his hand, "Just call me Old Zhou like them, no need to be so polite."

It's rare for the club to have all its members together again.

The last time everyone was here was a long time ago, after a series of controversies including the media storm, the killing of Said, and the Zero Dam mission.

Sitting in the same room again now gives me a strange sense of peace.

Mule leaned back on the sofa, looked around, and sighed softly, "It's really not easy to have everyone in the club."

Xiaobai walked out of the office. Today she was wearing a light-colored coat and her hair was tied up, regaining her usual neat and capable appearance.

Han Che looked at her, recalling what Qi Yuzhe had said, and felt a strange pang in his heart, a slight stinging pain.

Xiao Bai nodded. "Yes, there's been a lot going on lately. Everyone's been working hard."

"The UN requires everyone who wants to participate to gather today for unified arrangements. I've signed up everyone in our club, thinking I'll just put them on the list first, and we'll deal with any unsuccessful applicants later. Anyway, let's just reserve the spots for now."

As she spoke, her gaze lingered on each person's face for a moment to make sure no one objected.

The people in the room looked at each other, and none of them objected; they all nodded in agreement.

Qiu Ying asked, "What's the schedule for today's meeting? Are we just going to show up?"

Xiao Bai remained noncommittal. "Probably. Let's go, let's get there first and then we'll know the specifics."

The meeting point was in an official building. When the group went inside, they found that quite a few people had already arrived.

Small groups of people stood in the lobby, and Han Che recognized some of their faces; they were familiar faces from the Dragon Soaring Club and the Phoenix Cry Club.

Han Che followed Xiao Bai and the others up to the second floor and entered the large conference room that could accommodate more than a hundred people.

The meeting began shortly afterward.

There was another person Han Che recognized at the meeting: the lady standing on the podium, Su Lingyi, Xiao Bai's mother.

She was explaining the training program's structure and how it had been implemented overseas recently.

This time, the leaders were not high-ranking officials from Longteng and Fengming, but high-ranking officials from the government. They spoke mostly official "nonsense," simply conveying the spirit of the directives and emphasizing the importance the country attaches to this matter.

"The domestic and international situation is becoming increasingly severe..."

"We must be prepared to meet the challenge..."

These kinds of conferences are meaningless; they're just formalities. Han Che hates these kinds of conferences the most, feeling they're a waste of time. Plus, he hadn't slept last night, and the room was warm and cozy with the heater on. Soon, Han Che felt his eyelids getting heavier and heavier.

After some time, the noise in the conference room suddenly increased.

Han Che was awakened by the noise and found that everyone around him was sitting up straight in the direction of the stands.

He blinked hard twice to dispel the lingering sleepiness and followed everyone's gaze toward the stage.

A video was playing on the background screen on stage, but the picture quality was not very clear.

The video shows a spacious conference room with a long table surrounded by people of different skin colors, men and women, some in formal attire and others in casual tactical clothing.

The focus of the image is on a device placed in the center of the table. It is not large and its shape is somewhat like an old-fashioned radio, with a silver-gray metal casing and a short antenna attached to the side.

The crowd around the device was clearly discussing something, gesturing frequently and looking excited, but you couldn't hear what they were saying in the video.

Su Lingyi explained on stage, "This is a technology recently developed by the United Nations. Because we haven't participated in the UN's joint training programs, the specific details are kept secret from us. We obtained this video through some effort."

She pointed to the radio-shaped device on the screen, "The image shows a new type of big red technology jointly developed by multiple countries. They just came back from testing it on the map of Bakshi."

"The specific technological effects are currently unknown, but our technical staff have analyzed that it is likely some kind of detection device that can help our operators determine the location and position of the enemy in dangerous areas."

Su Lingyi's gaze swept across the audience. "Such technology will undoubtedly have a huge impact on the ecological landscape of dangerous areas."

Han Che sat in the back row watching the screen. He didn't understand what the device was for, and continued listening to Su Lingyi talk.

"I say this to tell you that the United Nations, through cooperation among nations, has achieved a certain technological lead over us, and we cannot let our guard down."

"Furthermore, since we have just joined the joint training program, they may create technical barriers and refuse to share with us the technologies that they have already shared among themselves, for the simple reason that we are only joining now."

"Perhaps our bargaining chip is to share some of our technology. Of course, this technology is not just Big Red Technology, but also some intelligence, such as the abilities, details, data, and habits of map BOSSes, as well as the technology that each of you has researched."

"Therefore, we need to pool our wisdom to help us quickly integrate into the United Nations training program, align with international standards, and avoid falling too far behind others."
