The air was thick with the smell of gunpowder, mixed with an indescribable sweetness.

That was the hallucinogenic smoke of ravens, the lingering scent that had just dissipated.

Han Che's muscles were still trembling slightly from the lingering pain from his repeated resurrections.

Looking at the wreckage scattered on the ground and Qi Yuzhe slumped on the ground, Han Che's surging emotions completely overwhelmed his physical discomfort.

The thought that he had no choice but to use the badge to upgrade fueled Han Che's anger.

Anderson was still standing in front of Han Che, his back to him, uttering high-sounding words.

It was as if nothing had happened, and that killing him and Qi Yuzhe was all for everyone's good.

Han Che's murderous intent intensified, and without hesitation, he raised his gun, aimed it at Anderson, and pulled the trigger.

But unexpectedly, the weapon was different now; the bolt clicked and failed to fire.

This clearly triggered the map bosses' protection mechanism that prevents them from attacking each other.

Anderson turned around, a smug, slightly disappointed smile on his face. "Oh dear, Your Honor! Calm down, calm down. Why resort to knives and guns? It's so unpleasant!"

He waved his hand and swaggered a few steps closer, saying, "Leveling up is something you have to force; everyone's been there!"

Anderson leaned close to Han Che's ear with a hint of provocation, "What a pity that the Warden didn't get promoted!"

"But Raven succeeded, so maybe you two can switch identities in Tidal Prison, hehehe..."

Since the gun was unusable, Han Che clenched his fist, twisted his body to the side, and smashed it towards Anderson's temple.

Anderson seemed to have been prepared; he raised his forearm to block his head, and his fist struck his arm bone with a dull thud.

Han Che frowned, pulled his fist back and bent his waist, then threw another punch.

Anderson sidestepped the punch, reaching out to grab Han Che's wrist to stop his attack.

But the moment he reached out, Han Che changed his fist into a palm, spread his five fingers, wrapped them around Anderson's fingers, and grabbed the area below his wrist. He then pulled Anderson slightly in his own direction, causing Anderson's center of gravity to shift.

Anderson immediately tried to twist outwards to break free, but found it wasn't so easy.

With the support of the Level 4 system, Anderson's strength was much greater than Han Che's, so this situation shouldn't have occurred. However, Han Che made a feint, allowing Anderson to gain a relatively advantageous position, which is why Anderson was unable to break free for a moment.

Anderson's face hardened, and he gritted his teeth, intending to use force to pull himself free.

Han Che didn't hold back either, and the two of them locked arms in mid-air. On the surface, neither of them moved, but in reality, both sides had used all their strength.

The outside quieted down, and the other three map bosses got up and poked their heads out, just in time to see what was happening.

Anderson's face turned bright red. He clenched his teeth, and veins bulged on his forehead. It would be too embarrassing if he couldn't even beat a level 3 warden in front of so many map bosses.

Even though Han Che had a relatively advantageous grip angle, the overall difference in strength was still slowly tilting towards Anderson.

Sweat began to bead on Han Che's forehead, and his breathing became heavy as he continued to exert himself.

Anderson's face had turned bright red from the sustained struggle, the redness extending from his forehead to his brow.

He still had the advantage in strength. Han Che's arm was already trembling slightly. If he could hold on for a little longer, he would be able to completely pin Han Che down and make that hand loosen its grip on his wrist.

But just as he was about to put in more effort, a dull pain suddenly pressed down on his chest, as if something was blocking the bottom of his trachea, making him breathe in less and less air.

Anderson's breathing suddenly became erratic, his shoulders began to rise and fall with his panting, and a low, guttural sound came from his throat.

Han Che was covered in sweat, and his strength was almost exhausted. He finally held on until Anderson had an asthma attack.

Anderson's body was slightly hunched over, coughing repeatedly. Han Che seized the opportunity when his grip loosened slightly and slammed him hard into the ground.

Qi Yuzhe staggered to his feet and kicked Anderson in the shin, causing Anderson to lose his balance and fall to his knees.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Han Che pinned him to the ground and began punching him repeatedly.

"You're the only one who hasn't been resurrected yet! You have to try at least once!"

Anderson couldn't even lift his hand to block, and his face turned from red to somewhat purple.

Just as Han Che was about to punch Anderson in the throat, a voice rang out, "Alright, come back now that you've had enough."

Jacob had come down from the second floor before anyone knew it.

Jacob slightly raised his hand, and Anderson's two defenseless arms suddenly seemed to be pulled by something, crossing themselves and hugging their heads.

Han Che punched her several more times, all of them landing on her suddenly clenched arms.

"Alright, Warden, that's enough for today," Jacob's voice came again.

It is almost certain that Jacob instigated Anderson's actions, or at least acquiesced to them.

Han Che naturally didn't have a good impression of him and was about to throw another punch when Jacob stopped him.

Han Che stared in shock at Jacob's hand that had blocked his attack, looking at him incredulously. When had Jacob gotten so close? He hadn't noticed at all.

"Forget it, forget it!" Jacob forcefully pushed Han Che's fist back. "I apologize to His Excellency the Warden."

Apart from Han Che, who was still lying on the ground, and Anderson, who was curled up and struggling, the five map bosses had all gotten up and surrounded them.

"I didn't arrange things well today, but at least we've all cleared up our differences. Whether we're Hafk or Asara, we're all one family! We must continue to unite and help each other when facing our real common enemy."

Although Jacob saved Anderson, he did not treat him, leaving him to wheeze on the ground, scratching his throat, writhing and struggling, his face already turning purple and black.

"Who are our enemies? Aren't these guys who repeatedly torture and kill us our enemies?" Han Che questioned.

"This guy..." Jacob smiled as he watched Anderson twitching and trembling on the ground, trying to take out the spray.

He finally managed to hold the spray can in his trembling hand, only to have it lightly kicked away by Jacob.

"He only got level 5 access, and he was a bit too playful. His intentions were actually good. If the system wants to upgrade to level 4, it must go through a painful test."

"Although Warden has not yet successfully upgraded, hasn't your best friend succeeded? Anderson has indirectly added a fighting force to West Coast Prison, right?" Jacob explained.

At that moment, Han Che heard the sound of orderly footsteps, and a large number of Hafk soldiers appeared around, immediately sealing off the square.

Han Che was helpless; there was indeed no chance for revenge now.

"Don't be afraid, everyone. Anderson has made such a mess of this place..."

"I specifically asked them to come and clean up," Jacob said with a smile, trying to reassure him.
