After some deliberation, Chris finally decided to go and check out the gathering of occult enthusiasts.

During his conversation with Colin, he secretly activated his spiritual vision to glance at Colin.

He didn't see any abnormal spiritual fluctuations in Colin.

Since this gathering takes place once a month, and the location isn't particularly secluded, there shouldn't be any major problems.

If there were truly any problems with this gathering, the official Extraordinary Organization would not allow it to continue existing.

Chris still vividly remembers the incredibly realistic lucid dream he had last night.

Of course, after waking up, Chris did not believe that the experience in his dream was actually something that happened 45 years ago.

But some of the characters and extraordinary organizations involved, such as the Torchbearer and the Hand of Eternal Silence, Chris's intuition told him that these were very likely real.

Chris clearly remembered that one of the torchbearers' strongholds in his dream was located in the Immorales Funeral Parlor on Mink Street.

He just passed by there; it seems to be located at 7 Mink Street.

His new neighbor, Chess, seemed to work there.

From the moment Chris touched the other person, he began to suspect Chase's true identity, but he did not show any abnormality.

Regardless of the relationship between the Imolas Funeral Parlor and the Torchbearers at this moment, he just needs to maintain a normal life and not expose his abnormality.

Whether it was the original owner's experience before he transmigrated or the events that had happened to him in the past month, Chris believed that from an outsider's perspective, he should appear completely normal.

I go to get off work and leave work every day, just a typical office worker.

If Chase really is the torchbearer, and the other party is in the open while he is in the shadows, then he should just be more careful in his interactions with him in the future.

As for the other party's true purpose in appearing at Apartment 037, Chris was very curious, but this was not a dream world after all, and he could not simply go to the other party's door and ask them directly as he would in a dream.

If there really is a torchbearer's stronghold on Mink Street, then the safety of today's so-called gathering of occult enthusiasts should be guaranteed.

After Chris agreed to Colin's request, Colin led him quickly into the alley.

As they rounded a corner in the alley, two tall men in black jackets and sunglasses stopped Chris and his companion.

Only after Colin showed them a card were the two allowed to pass.

Chris noticed that the pattern on the card Colin showed him looked like three squares that were hand-painted with some kind of black paint, alternating and partially overlapping.

There were no lights in the alley, so he could only make out the general shape by the light from the streetlights.

Seeing that Chris was curious about the card he showed him, Colin gave him a brief explanation of its origin and purpose.

This card is the pass to enter the gathering. Once inside, Colin will take Chris to the staff to get his own pass.

After that, Chris can use the pass to attend the gathering on his own.

Or, like Colin, you could bring a newcomer along.

As for when and where the next gathering will be, Chris learned from Colin that all he needed to do was subscribe to the Rom City Morning Post and check the small column in the lower left corner on the 1st of each month.

This little section will contain a short story, and the first time and place mentioned in the story will be the time and place of the next gathering.

Chris also subscribes to the Rom City Morning Post.

This was an important channel for him to learn about the city and even some cutting-edge information about the Im Empire.

Chris firmly believed that, as a time traveler, it was always good to keep up with such cutting-edge information.

After turning another corner, candlelight flickering in the night breeze came directly into Chris's eyes.

"We're here." Colin said cheerfully. He looked at Chris with eager eyes and quickly said, "The sermon is about to begin. I'll take you to get your pass first."

Chris was led by Colin through the middle of the relatively wide alley. At this moment, many people had already set up stalls on both sides of the alley to sell their various trinkets.

Two white candles were stuck in front of each stall, and some strange patterns could be vaguely seen on the candles.

Chris's gaze kept sweeping over the stalls around him, and he noticed that there were indeed some odd-looking things on these stalls.

Stones of various colors and sizes, parts that appear to be from certain animals or plants, and some metal and glass products with unusual shapes.

There were also some items that Chris didn't know how to describe.

Of course, besides that, there were also some more normal things. He saw books, chessboards, playing cards, and even a complete set of exquisitely crafted teaware.

Shortly after, Colin led Chris to a stall.

Only the candles displayed in front of this stall are red.

Chris's gaze naturally swept over the stall in front of him, and he noticed that it also had some peculiar items on display, and seemed to be open for business.

The stall owner was a middle-aged woman who looked very mature. She was wearing large black sunglasses and a gray-black hat. Her dark red short hair hung down naturally from inside the hat, just past her chin.

Just as Chris was looking at the stall.

Colin showed the vendor his pass and explained his purpose.

Soon after, Chris, holding his own pass, was dragged by Colin to the end of the alley.

Chris could see from afar that at the end of the alley, a dozen or so people were sitting around a stall.

There are six white candles arranged in a hexagonal pattern on the stall.

In the center of the hexagon formed by the candles, there is an irregularly shaped object that is pitch black but has a smooth surface that reflects the light from the surrounding candles.

Based on what Colin had told him before about the name of the church for this sermon, Obsidian Tongue, Chris guessed that there was probably a fist-sized piece of obsidian placed in the middle of these candles.

In this era where glass products can be mass-produced, obsidian should not be anything rare.

The ground around the stall was covered with gray cloth mats of varying shapes and styles.

Those who arrived first sat cross-legged on it.

Seeing this, Chris was very glad that he had specially changed into an old set of clothes and shoes before going out.

Colin, on the other hand, didn't seem to care about his formal attire and simply found an empty seat and sat down.

Chris naturally sat down next to Colin.

Just after the two sat down, Chris noticed that Colin's gaze was not on the stall owner at the very back, who was also the preacher of the Obsidian Tongue Church tonight, but on a figure in the second row in front.

From her back view, Chris could tell that the other person was a young woman.

Seeing this, Chris suddenly understood why Colin was so insistent on having him listen to this sermon.

Are they using him as a wingman?
