Chapter 5 Valuable Knowledge

The main entrance to the Wizard's Tower.

Upon leaving the wizard's tower, Russell secretly put on the mythological inscription, and his spirits immediately lifted.

Once the test is complete, there's no need to leave the mythological inscription unworn.

Yafna tucked a strand of hair that had fallen across her cheek behind her ear, looked at Russell, and stammered a couple of times before saying, "Hello, my name is Yafna."

"Hello, my name is Russell," Russell replied.

After exchanging names briefly, the two stopped communicating and left the wizard tower, then began looking for the miscellaneous affairs office.

Unfortunately, it was the first time for both of them to visit Panlong Mountain, and Gus didn't give them a map or tell them how to get there.

However, the two hadn't walked far when they encountered a passing wizard apprentice who asked them for directions.

We arrived at the miscellaneous affairs office without incident.

The miscellaneous affairs office was quite large, divided into several windows, each responsible for different matters, and there were also several wizard apprentices there.

"You two are new wizarding apprentices, right? Come over here."

The wizard apprentice behind a window saw Russell and his companion and beckoned them over.

The two breathed a sigh of relief and quickly walked over.

Bertrand Russell was a rather quiet person and was not good at socializing in his previous life. He would not ask others for help unless he was absolutely unable to do it himself.

Yafna is easily embarrassed, and it was quite a feat for her to muster up the courage to ask Russell's name outside the Wizard's Tower.

If no one calls them, they might have to stand at the door for a while longer.

"This spiritual power... belongs to Lord Gus. Then your residence is located on the mountainside east of Panlong Mountain."

"Oh, by the way, is it okay if you two live in the same house?"

The wizard apprentice behind the window glanced at the spiritual energy on the badges on the two men's chests, then looked at them a couple of times and asked.

Yafna's face flushed red, and she lowered her head, clutching the hem of her clothes with her small hands.

One, a house?

"Ahem, two houses, two houses. Well, they'll be next to each other." Russell coughed twice and explained.

As for why they are placed next to each other, it is naturally for the convenience of exchanging information about the Fu Rui Meditation Method and the Wind Blade Technique, which has not yet been learned.

Exchanging experiences between two people is definitely faster than one person studying on their own.

Even though Russell's cultivation speed is destined to be much higher than Yafna's.

Russell and Yavna received their Level 1 Wizard Apprentice badges from the chores department, along with the standard black robes that included the Constant Cleansing spell, a house key, and a monthly Originium.

He then took the map and headed to the eastern side of Panlong Mountain to find his house.

In order to get along well with his future neighbor and facilitate future communication, Russell offered to help Yafna carry her luggage and made some awkward small talk.

However, the conversation often dies after only a few words.

After a moment of silence, they would chat for a bit more if they remembered something.

And so, the two arrived at the houses with the corresponding numbers, 045 and 046. They were just standing there without any walls. There were also three other houses next to them, 047 to 050, but they were also empty.

Unfortunately, there are very few wizard apprentices on the mountain.

Nearly a hundred people study here every year. Over ten years, it's considered a lot if two or three out of a group of students succeed.

More often than not, there aren't even any.

Panlongcheng is very large due to the large number of students.

It is a huge city that can accommodate tens of thousands of people, and it is also the gathering place for wizard apprentices of the Kingdom of Ent.

However, on Panlong Mountain, the number of wizard apprentices at most never exceeded one hundred.

Currently, there are 65 first-level wizard apprentices, 21 second-level wizard apprentices, and 3 third-level wizard apprentices on Panlong Mountain.

There are only eighty-nine people in total.

The Gus faction, excluding Russell and Yavna, has twenty first-level wizard apprentices and six second-level wizard apprentices.

No wonder Gus was so happy to have two first-level wizard apprentices join him.

"Let's tidy up the room first. Here, your luggage."

Russell returned Yafna's luggage to her, opened the door himself, and was immediately greeted by a damp, musty smell.

He opened all the doors and windows, then took out a transparent crystal from the miscellaneous affairs department from his package, infused it with a wisp of his spiritual power, and placed it on the table.

The crystal emitted a pleasant fragrance that filled the air, dispelling the unpleasant musty smell.

Russell was about to tidy up the house when a knock came at the door.

He turned around and saw two servants carrying various cleaning tools.

After becoming a wizard apprentice, one's time is naturally spent on studying knowledge, and these trivial matters are handled by dedicated servants.

Russell watched as the other person cleaned the house, thought for a moment, picked up the manuscript, and went outside.

The house was being cleaned, and there was a lot of dust. Although the other person was trying to avoid my position, there was nowhere to stand, so I decided to come out first.

Stepping out of the house, Russell noticed that Yafna had also come out, and it was clear that there were servants cleaning inside as well.

Unfortunately, neither of them knew the Cleansing spell, and the Permanent Cleansing spell on their robes could only be used on the robes that were permanently cleansed.

Otherwise, a single spell would be far cleaner than a thorough cleaning by the servants.

Incidentally, there are several other spells that are very simple, like the Cleanse spell, which doesn't even require constructing a spell model and only requires the use of mental energy, simple hand gestures, and simple incantations.

These are basically the spells that every wizard apprentice must learn.

This kind of spell doesn't even reach the lower level of the zero rank; it's generally called a trick.

For example, the magic tricks that Gus performed earlier could be used to copy text.

Anyway, it won't waste too much time and energy; it will only take a day or two at most to master it.

Upon seeing Yafna, Russell walked up to her and stood with her to discuss the contents of the manuscript.

Yafna also came out with a manuscript. The two reviewed and discussed it, recalling the key points that Gus had explained, and neither of them felt the passage of time.

When the servants finished cleaning the room and came out to take their leave, the two realized that a long time had passed.

The servants left, and Russell and Yavna continued their discussion of the Vrykul Meditation Method.

The manuscript consisted of more than a dozen pages of densely packed paper, including the construction of a model for the core of meditation. It can be said to be the most important part of cultivation, and no carelessness is allowed.

Of course, if you're just getting started, you can build a simple core model of meditation.

Otherwise, 999 out of 1,000 wizarding apprentices would be stuck at the beginner level.

The remaining one belongs to an unparalleled genius among wizard apprentices, but it would take decades to successfully construct it.

After all, once the core model of meditation is perfectly constructed, it means that one can attempt to reach the formal wizard realm.

Of course, this is just one of the many requirements to become a formal wizard, and only the most basic one.

Russell is not qualified to know about the other requirements.

Even the three third-level wizard apprentices, including Gus, did not know that they would only be informed of advanced wizarding knowledge by Wizard Shilling when they constructed a perfect meditation core.

It is said that by then, some other costs will also be required.

Knowledge is invaluable.

Even the wizard Shilling wouldn't casually share knowledge about advancing to a formal wizard, even if that person was his disciple.
