Young Master He's mermaid baby is super sweet

Chapter 127 Proposing to the Little One

Luo You looked up at He Shizhou when she heard his words, and then looked at the child in her arms.

The baby is now several months old. Before, because the child was not healthy, they hadn't named him and had put the matter aside. Now that it's suddenly brought up again, he realized that the baby still doesn't have a name.

Luo You tilted his head to look at He Shizhou and blinked.

"What?"

Su Yin had also felt that the child should be named, and she had been wanting to discuss it with He Shizhou. Now, He Shizhou brought it up himself.

"Have you thought it through?" Su Yin asked, following He Shizhou's words.

He Shizhou nodded slightly, then reached out and pinched the cheek of the child in Luo You's arms in a retaliatory gesture.

"How is He Anyu?"

Upon hearing He Shizhou's words, Luo You looked up at him, blinked, and muttered softly, "Yu?"

He Shizhou just smiled at him without explaining.

However, Luo You understood what he meant, smiled, and happily placed the child directly into He Shizhou's arms.

The little guy was suddenly moved to a different position and struggled a few times in dissatisfaction, but He Shizhou held him tightly and wouldn't let go. He couldn't break free, and he didn't cry. In the end, he could only stay obediently in He Shizhou's arms.

She would occasionally glance at Luo You with her bright black eyes, pouting and remaining silent, looking rather pitiful.

The little one rarely cries; when he's upset, he just pouts and whimpers.

If Luo You had seen the little guy like this before, he would have felt sorry for him and taken him back. But now he just reached out and poked the little guy's cheek, just like He Shizhou did.

"He Anyu." Then he looked up and smiled at He Shizhou, "Youyou likes this name."

He Shizhou also reached out and pinched his cheek.

Su Yin, who was standing nearby, coughed lightly, took the child and gently patted him in her arms, but still nodded.

"That's a nice name."

Grandpa Su nodded in agreement.

The four of them stayed at home for a while, and at noon they had lunch together. It was a rare occasion for them to come home for lunch, and even He Linyan was brought back with them.

When He Qi pushed the door open and came back, several people were sitting at the table. He was unusually not cold-faced. Instead, he glanced nervously at Grandpa Su on the sofa, took off his coat and hung it aside, then walked to the coffee table and first served Grandpa Su a cup of tea.

Grandpa Su glanced at him but neither answered nor paid him any attention.

He Qi was humiliated, and He Shizhou, watching from the side, suddenly felt like laughing. When had his father ever been treated like this before, and yet he didn't dare to say anything?

Knowing that He Shizhou and Luo You were coming today, He Linyan was originally not going to come over for a family meal, but He Qi insisted on bringing her back.

After following He Qi to the sofa, he greeted the others.

Although Grandpa Su didn't give He Qi a friendly look, he was tolerant of the younger generation. He just nodded slightly and responded. Su Yin glanced at He Linyan but didn't say anything.

He Linyan already knew that this would be the scene when he returned, so he just smiled gently, leaned forward slightly to look at the child in Su Yin's arms, but did not reach out to touch him.

Upon seeing this, He Shizhou took the child from Su Yin's arms and placed him in He Linyan's arms.

"Brother, give me a hug! The little one has gotten chubby lately, all round and plump, and smells like milk. It's so cute."

He Linyan didn't know how to hold a baby, so she could only carefully drag him in her arms. Hearing He Shizhou's words, she gave a helpless laugh.

"Shizhou, this is your son, why are you talking about him like a toy?"

Xiao Anyu clearly liked He Linyan more than He Shizhou. In He Shizhou's arms, she kept her mouth shut, but when she looked up at He Linyan, she even reached out to grab He Linyan's tie, wanting to put it in her mouth, but He Shizhou quickly stopped her.

He sighed and helplessly tucked He Linyan's tie behind his back.

"He's such a little troublemaker. Taking care of him is much more troublesome than dealing with company matters." Although he said it was troublesome, He Shizhou still had a smile on his face. Looking at the little guy happily blowing bubbles, he paused and then said, "You won't understand now. You'll understand when you have children in the future."

He Shizhou's unintentional remark made He Linyan's eyes darken. He lowered his head and said nothing, only giving a faint "hmm".

The two talked for a while, then He Linyan's phone rang. He returned the child to He Shizhou and went outside to make the call.

Just then, the servants said that lunch was ready, so He Shizhou asked the nanny to take the baby downstairs before the family went to wash their hands and prepare to eat.

After sitting down, He Shizhou glanced at Luo You, reached out and took his hand, and suddenly spoke.

"Grandpa, now that everything's over, are you planning to stay at the old house or go to my villa?" After a pause, He Shizhou added, "I'm planning to take Youyou to the villa in Nancheng for a while. If you go to the villa, will Mom come with you?"

After all, the baby has been born, and the wedding should be arranged. He Shizhou has been thinking about how to propose to the little guy. Now that Fu Yan'an has returned, he can put the company's affairs aside for the time being. Today, when he heard the little guy mention the sea, he wanted to take him to see it, since that place is considered the little guy's home.

Grandpa Su had only stayed at the He family's old house because Luo You's matter was too sudden. Now that it was over, he definitely wanted to go back to the villa, so he immediately said he would go back.

When he returned, Su Yin also brought the child and the nanny with him, leaving He Qi alone at home again.

He Qi opened his mouth, about to say that he wanted to go too, but Su Yin glared at him, so he could only lower his head and drink some water, unable to say anything.

Everyone praised Su Yincai, then turned to look at He Shizhou.

"It's fine for you two to go out. It's much warmer and more comfortable in the south than here. But the New Year is coming soon, so you two can't stay there for too long. Come back before the New Year. If it's hard to catch a flight, just have a private plane pick you up."

"Okay." He Shizhou agreed without discussing it with Luo You, and arranged everything before Luo You even understood.

After sitting at the table for a while and making a phone call, He Linyan returned from outside, looking at the people around him with a hint of apology on his face.

"Dad, something came up, so I won't be eating at home. I'll go first, you guys eat."

He Qi frowned subconsciously, wanting to say something to persuade them to stay, but after looking around at the people sitting at the table, he didn't know what to say.

He naturally wanted his family to sit down and have a meal together, but the issues involved couldn't be resolved quickly.

He Shizhou stood up and walked to He Linyan's side.

"Brother, is it something important? We rarely have a meal together, and you haven't even sat down."

He Linyan nodded slightly and patted his shoulder.

"If you want to have a meal together, there will be other opportunities. My friend rarely comes to visit, so I can't refuse. Let's have a meal together next time."

Hearing He Linyan say this, He Shizhou couldn't insist on keeping him any longer, so he could only agree and watch him leave.

So much time has passed since those events, and He Shizhou has talked to Su Yin many times, but now Su Yin can only refrain from saying anything to He Linyan, and she can't truly treat him like family.

*

He Linyan was picked up by the He family's driver along with He Qi, so the driver was going to take him home, but He Linyan refused.

He Linyan hadn't walked far from the villa area when he saw the car parked on the side of the road.

He walked over, opened the car door, and sat in the back seat, where he saw a man in a black suit sitting next to him, still looking at a computer screen.

"Back here on another business trip? You didn't even tell me. How did you know I was going back to the old house today?"

Huo Chengfeng glanced at him, closed the notebook in his hand and put it aside, his voice still in his usual cold tone.

"I came over this morning and stayed at your house for a while. I originally wanted to pick you up for lunch, but your company said you left with Chairman He, so I guessed you came to the He family's old residence." After saying that, he leaned back and looked at He Linyan's face for a moment before saying indifferently, "If you don't want to come, you don't have to force yourself. You can just refuse."

He Linyan slowly curled the corners of his lips, a hint of melancholy in his smile, and said softly.

"It's not that I don't like them, it's just that they're a family, and I'm always an outsider, so I'm a little envious."

He Linyan sometimes wonders if the He family would be much better off now if he hadn't come to the He family back then and had been wandering alone after his mother's death.

He really shouldn't have come.

Huo Chengfeng saw his expression and knew what he was thinking, but Huo Chengfeng did not bring up the matter again. Instead, he asked a question.

"Should we eat at your place, or eat out?"

"I'm a little tired and want to go back and rest for a while." He Linyan leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes wearily.

Huo Chengfeng didn't speak to him and directly told the driver to drive to He Linyan's rented house.

The car was quiet the whole way. He Linyan closed his eyes and leaned back in his seat. He soon fell asleep. Huo Chengfeng stopped looking at the computer and focused his gaze on He Linyan's face. Seeing that he was sleeping restlessly, he reached out and pulled him close, letting him sleep in his arms.

He Linyan was a light sleeper. When Huo Chengfeng touched him, he stirred groggily, but seemed to smell a familiar scent. He didn't wake up and relaxed back into Huo Chengfeng's arms.

Huo Chengfeng looked down at the person in his arms.

He Linyan was not sleeping soundly. His eyelashes would occasionally flutter slightly, and he would rub against something uneasy, like a kitten that was having trouble sleeping.

Everyone thinks he is excellent and can do everything perfectly, but in fact, He Linyan is a very insecure person with some inferiority complex. He always pushes himself to do everything perfectly and strives to be the best in everyone's eyes.

This just makes him very tired.
