Forests Don't Support Idle Goblins

Did goblins already make a deal with them before?
Charles's mind raced. He noticed the white, dough-like object that the worker ants had been carrying earlier, which was probably the "soft white thing" the queen had mentioned. "That must be some kind of fungus."
He had seen ants collect leaves and cultivate fungi that they could eat when he watched videos of them eating. And just now, when Xia Er was running around in the burrow, he saw a huge fungus cultivation chamber filled with leaves. Worker ants were constantly carrying leaves in and handing them over to other worker ants. The piled-up leaves were covered with a dense layer of white fuzz, some of which had swelled up and become like soft dough. The worker ants would bite off these "dough" and hand them over to their companions to carry away.
"I wonder what the goblins were doing trading these fungi with before." After thinking for a moment, Sharl decided to tell the truth. "Sorry, I wasn't the goblin who traded items with you before."
He paused for a moment, then asked, "Can you tell me where those goblins live?"
Ciel wanted to see those goblins and then insist on bringing them under his command.
First of all, these goblins have already begun to engage in initial item trading, which shows that they are intelligent, or at least some of them are intelligent.
There are probably only two goblins in the group that "have brains": one is Sharl, and the buck-toothed and lame goblin counts as another.
If we can incorporate these clever goblins into our tribe, it will definitely make our future work much easier.
Secondly, their ability to trade items with the ant race indicates that this goblin swarm is quite large. The next obelisk letter in Sharl requires 300 subordinates, and if they can absorb these goblins, it will definitely shorten the progress significantly.
"Whispers of the forest, though they may sound far-fetched, are at least a prophecy," Charles thought.
Therefore, he was extremely eager to find out where the goblins were.
"You're not a goblin from that clan?" The queen ant's tone was slightly surprised, then she clearly sighed. "His place is easy to find. Just come out of the burrow and keep going straight ahead, and you'll get there."
"Keep going?" Ciel nodded, chin in hand. "Okay, thank you."
He decided to meet the goblins first, and then communicate with the queen ant through them, trying to hire some ants to do things, since it's easier to talk to acquaintances.
After bidding farewell to the queen ant, Shire led his men out of the ant kingdom and headed south.
"How can I persuade them?" he pondered as he walked. "Verbal persuasion? Military conquest?"
Both paths are viable. He felt he was as eloquent as any goblin, since while he was giving product presentations to clients, those goblins were still catching frogs and digging mouse holes. He was even less afraid of conquering by force; he had brought his own grass, and no goblin could stand against a troll blessed by an evil god. Even if they all attacked together, he could form the head.
"I have it in the bag." The more Charles thought about it, the more confident he felt about victory. "This is a great development for the tribe."
A group of goblins headed south excitedly. Before long, Sharl saw a small mound ahead. "Could that be the entrance to their burrow?"
He turned to look at Furu and asked, "Do you have telepathy?"
"No." Furu shook his head.
"No?" Charles frowned, thought for a moment, and said, "Then we should go further south."
He led his men to the small mound and discovered a downward passage. "Could this be an underground stone chamber?"
Then, Charles led his men into the stone chamber, where they began searching around with torches.
Soon, the goblin made a discovery, and the lame one shouted, "There's something here!"
Charles immediately ran over, only to see a yellowish-white oval object in front of him, like a cocoon.
Moreover, the cocoon was surrounded by white silk threads, which looked like spider silk.
"Chop it open." Charles ordered Red Eyes with a gloomy face, for he was thinking of something bad.
With a "whoosh," the red-eyed man sliced open the cocoon with a single stroke. As the spider silk outer skin softened and collapsed to both sides, a grayish skeleton was thrown out.
"This body proportion...it's a goblin," Charles said, squinting. Then, his men elsewhere reported finding things as well.
As Charles looked around, he saw many wooden bowls on the dusty floor, and several large pots leaning against the wall. These things looked old and hadn't been used for a long time.
"Chief, there's more here!" a goblin cried out.
It was a brown, semi-transparent fragment, somewhat thin, and Charles recognized it at a glance as the wing of the cave bee they had encountered earlier.
"It seems they're all dead." Charles looked up at the ceiling and let out a long sigh.
At the same time, he sensed that his domain map had changed.
"This is where I am now, which should be the site of the goblin horde that was wiped out," Sharl said, surveying the entire area. "The question mark to the north should be the ant colony's burrow, and the twin sword symbols on either side..."
He glanced at two markers some distance from the stone chamber. "That should be the entrance to the burrow of the spiders and the burrowing wasps."
"These monsters are really vicious. The spiders are fierce, the giant bees are cunning, and they're currently feeding on ants. If they finish eating all the ants, they'll probably start expanding to the surrounding areas."
Charles turned to look at the goblin skeleton wrapped in spider silk. "Their hunting tentacles are almost reaching the fortress area. Spiders are a bit slower, but the cave bees have a wider search range. If they discover my clan, they will definitely pounce, after all, they have already tasted goblins."
"Go back and ask the queen ant for information." He clenched his fist and then ordered his men to return the way they came.
The team came and went like the wind, arriving full of anticipation and leaving with great anxiety.
Before long, Charles and his men arrived at the entrance to the anthill. He stood by the entrance, waiting for the queen ant to send worker ants to lead the way.
Suddenly he caught sight of a lame man staring at the distant sky. Charles turned his head and saw a "dark cloud" drifting in from that direction.
"That thing isn't... a cave bee, is it?" Charles frowned, then immediately said, "Everyone, get into the cave."
We can't wait for worker ants to come and guide us anymore, since goblins are also on their menu.
Soon, following Charles's orders, his men entered the cave and stood close to the walls to avoid being bumped into and trampled by the ants that rushed in.
Charles pressed himself against the edge of the cave entrance, his eyes fixed on the sky above. The giant bees had already flown overhead, buzzing loudly.
The ants also discovered these uninvited guests and began to speed up their crawling into the burrow, but at this moment, the burrowing wasps swooped down and launched an attack.
Charles watched as the predators swooped down, plunging their stingers into the worker ant's body to inject venom. Soon, the worker ant began to sway, then collapsed to the ground, convulsing and curling up. The giant bees then carried the curled-up corpse of the worker ant back towards their nest.
"Death is swift. If you're just pricked by a few ants, you'll probably die too." Charles looked solemnly at the slaughter outside. There weren't many worker ants left alive on the ground.
Moreover, these burrowing bees began to land on the ground, seemingly trying to rush into the burrow.
"Everyone, throw the blazing glue towards the door!" After judging the other party's intention, Charles immediately ran into the cave and shouted the order.
With a "bang," more than a dozen pieces of flaming glue were thrown out, creating a wall of fire at the entrance of the cave.
"Hopefully, we can stop them." Charles leaned against the cave wall, waiting quietly.
Unfortunately, he underestimated the greed of these creatures. Two cave bees folded their wings and crawled in from the top of the cave. Charles had no choice but to order his men to throw out the blazing glue again.
The raging flames ignited the two giant bees, who frantically tried to crawl out. However, the burrow was too narrow, and after several attempts to squeeze and bump into each other, they finally died at the entrance under Charles's watchful gaze. Their burning corpses successfully blocked the other burrowing bees that wanted to enter.
Before long, through his telescope, Charles discovered that these cunning predators had finally all flown away.
"It's over." Charles breathed a sigh of relief and leaned against the cave wall.
"Chief, what should we do?" Red Eyes asked, but his eyes weren't on Charles; they were fixed on the side.
"Wait a little longer," Charles said. He was prepared to lead his men down to find the queen ant if the ant colony became too chaotic. Then he noticed the red-eyed man's eyes and turned to look at him. He saw the man sitting on the ground with a limp, holding a blue object the size of a basketball.
"What is this?" Charles waited for a worker ant to walk past him before approaching the lame man.
"I don't know, Chief." The lame man immediately put down the blue sphere and stood up to say.
"How did it appear?" Charles asked.
"I just watched those ants rush in and run into the hole," the lame man said after a moment's thought. "I was just thinking how nice it would be if something could carry me around like that."
After he finished speaking, he turned his head and glanced at Cao Cao, as if he were talking about the time when he was carried by the troll.
"This must be his arcane servant," Charles said, crouching down to examine the blue sphere. "What's it for?"
"It can transform," the lame man said, and then, for some unknown reason, the magical servant unfolded to both sides, gradually transforming into a disc with a diameter of half a meter.
"Interesting. What else can we do?" Charles asked.
"It..." The lame man thought for a moment about what had just happened, "It seems to be able to see other places. I just had it fly into the cave to take a look."
"Shared vision?" Charles nodded. This arcane servant was quite interesting. He wanted to ask more questions, but a worker ant came up in front of the goblin.
The worker ant touched Shire a few times, then gestured for her to follow it.
"It was the Queen Ant who called us," Charles said with a smile.
Then the goblins headed deeper into the cave.
