"What's that?" Afif looked at the brown cloth bag in Victor's hand. It didn't seem like anything special, but his old nemesis's hateful expression suggested that "Red Bull" might surprise him.
"You old man, you wouldn't show off something ordinary like this, so what exactly does it do?" he asked suspiciously.
"Want to know?" Archmage Victor tossed the bag in his hand, even using magic to make it spin in the air. "Aren't you eager to know?"
"Hmm." Vivian couldn't stand the bickering between these two old children, so she coughed deliberately.
Then, Afif rolled his eyes at Viktor, before smiling and asking Vivian, "You must know what this is, little Vivian?"
"Mr. Afif," Vivian said calmly, "this is a drink that my friend found on the mainland. It's very effective; it can boost mental strength and relieve fatigue."
"Is that so?" Afif didn't even look at his old rival, but glanced at the coarse cloth bag instead. "This effect is quite interesting. I must try it later."
"I didn't agree..." The old mage Victor raised an eyebrow, intending to refuse.
"Come on, old man, you deliberately took it out in front of me just to show off, didn't you?" Afif interrupted him directly. "Besides, this thing belongs to Vivian, and you're just her teacher."
Then, without giving the old mage Victor a chance to retort, he immediately smiled and said to Vivian, "Well then, come with me. I'll take you to the living room. By the way, little Vivian, are you really not considering changing your teacher?"
Afif waved his hand, and the two gargoyles at the door immediately sat up straight, returning to their original stone statue forms. Vivian could only smile apologetically and turn to comfort the old mage Victor, who was already furious.
Before coming, she knew the two would quarrel; she had seen them not getting along when the teacher did her divination before. But the teacher still brought her to the Golden Flower City. Vivian was very grateful to her teacher.
…………
With a "splash," boiling water was poured into the cup. As the silver spoon stirred, the liquid in the cup quickly turned a pale yellow color. Vivian picked up a small piece of honey from the side. "You can add honey to this Red Bull according to your own taste."
"Hmm," Archmage Afif took a small sip of his Red Bull, "Adding a little honey would definitely make it better."
"How come you've used up so much magic?" Archmage Victor asked suddenly after taking a sip of his drink.
Afif stirred the Red Bull with a silver spoon without looking up at the other person. "Someone asked me to make a prediction. It's a complicated matter, and the person's status is too high for me to refuse."
"How high can it be?" Victor's tone contained a hint of disdain. They were all members of the Spell Union and didn't need to pay much attention to the thoughts and requests of those nobles.
"Second Prince." Afif paused for a few seconds before directly stating the person he had entrusted.
"Hmm?" Archmage Victor frowned. "The heir to the Kingdom of Fran? You're not asking when you'll be crowned king, are you?"
“It’s a little more complicated than that,” Afif said, taking a big gulp of Red Bull. “What he wants to know is the future, how big the Kingdom of Fran is.”
Viktor's eyes twitched. "Very ambitious, and very confident."
"I made a prophecy for him, but I didn't tell him the actual situation," Afif blew on his cup a few times. "I only told him that the future territory of the Fran Kingdom would be about the same as it is now."
"And what did you actually see?" Vivian asked at the opportune moment, as she was also very curious about what would happen to this vast kingdom in the future.
"The Kingdom of Fran is gone," Afif said calmly, taking a sip of Red Bull.
"Gone?" Vivian jumped up from her chair in shock. "How could it be gone? Did the kingdom fall, or...?"
"Child, knowing too much is not good for you." Archmage Afif looked at Vivian with a kind smile, like an elder who loves his grandchildren, if one could ignore the pink bow on his beard.
"Listen to him, Vivian," the old mage Victor reminded his apprentice. "Sometimes his advice is very important to you."
Vivian frowned and nodded slightly. She knew that the two of them just didn't get along because of their tempers and the unpleasantness they had caused when they were young because of a woman named "Anna". However, they were also "soulmates" in a different way. Mr. Afif didn't want to tell her the specific details because he didn't want to get involved. Her teacher, Victor, clearly agreed with the other party's idea.
"I have to say, this stuff is really good." Afif changed the subject, examining the Red Bull in his hand and raising his eyebrows. "I actually feel like my energy is improving. If I drink more, I might even regain my high."
He took another sip of Red Bull. "It's really good stuff. Did you come here to give it all to me?"
"You wish," the old mage Victor retorted immediately. "You stole 'Anna' before, do you want to steal this one too?"
Vivian calmly sipped her drink, but her ears were already perked up. Could she hear something interesting today?
"This thing will only feed the fish on the seabed if you give it to me; only by giving it to me can it be truly useful." Afif straightened his back, looking like "I am the one who recognizes the value of this thing."
"You're just holed up in Golden Flower City," Victor deliberately turned his head to the side, "and you use so much magical energy every day to maintain your floating magic room. It's so wasteful, it's not even as good as my underwater magic tower."
"What do you know? Even if you expend that much magic power to maintain this floating rune array, how many people can actually do that?" Afif scoffed. "In the entire Spellcasting Association, only my magic tower can do this."
After saying that, he ignored his old rival's expression and turned to Vivian, "Little Vivian, where did you get these things? You can give them all to me, and I can help you make the most of them."
"The greatest effect?" Vivian's bright green eyes widened upon hearing this. Her teacher had previously mentioned that this "Red Bull" powder could be used as an aid in the study of magic. Could it be that the Archmage Afif had an even more powerful method to effectively utilize this strange drink?
"Yes," Afif nodded affirmatively, and said seriously, "These things have made me feel much less tired, and my blood flow has increased. I think they should be of even greater use."
"What is that?" Vivian asked hopefully, her eyes sparkling.
"It can be a very effective aphrodisiac drink."
