Forests Don't Support Idle Goblins

Chapter 195 New Runewords

"Is this new?" Charles looked at the notebook in his hand, then looked up and glanced at Agatha in front of him.

"Yes, it's engraved on a white stone, along with its specific purpose." Agatha shrugged. "Luckily, I told Lame to take a closer look at each stone. He was very attentive and examined almost all the pure white stones."

"Those stones," Charles thought for a moment, his lips twitching, "there are quite a lot of them, almost filling that huge underground material warehouse."

"He's not bad. He's curious about all food," Agatha said, taking the notebook back. "Just like when I first started reading, I was always looking for special uses for all sorts of things around me. If he weren't a goblin, but had a strong physique like Grass, I reckon he could use those stones as toys to create all sorts of shapes."

Upon hearing her words, Charles automatically conjured up images of the strange product designs he had seen in supermarkets in his previous life: mannequins covered with straw mats as armor, city gate-like structures built with large rolls of toilet paper, and tall water towers stacked with various beverages.

"He is indeed, uh," he gave a wry smile, recalling the lame man's earlier request to see if he could dismantle a goblin's hut, "very curious about this world, you know, back then that evil druid directly imprisoned the minds of those goblins."

Agatha sighed softly, "If I hadn't cooperated with you and explored the forest together, I would never have known about the lives of these goblins in my life. I had only heard from friends that goblins were dirty creatures, but now it seems that goblins are just like humans, with emotions and intelligence."

"Hmm, he has intelligence, but maybe not too much." Charles smiled, glancing at the piece of paper beside him. It contained the fortress guidelines he was preparing to issue, and he was still considering the specific terms. A few nights ago, when he went to find Red Eye to prepare to bury that mysterious mage, he unexpectedly discovered that Red Eye was sleeping while holding a brain-eating monster. Fortunately, the brain-eating monster was also asleep at the time, otherwise Charles would probably have a hole in his head now.

"So, this is the first new runeword you've discovered?" He glanced at the notebook in Agatha's hand and asked.

"Yes, this is the only one for now." Agatha nodded. "I will inspect all the stone materials again to see if I have missed any clues."

"What's the point of this runeword, Balance?" Charles tapped the table. "It doesn't seem to have much effect."

Compared to the previous runewords Gate and Mind, he was not immediately aware of the function of the new runeword.

The runeword Balance can be engraved on two pieces of material to keep them at a certain distance. The effect is somewhat like magnets repelling each other, but without the need for any magnetism. When I looked at the notes that Agatha Christie had copied in her notebook, I wondered if it was possible to use two large pieces of white material to ensure that one of them floats in the air, similar to the effect of magnetic levitation.

"You mean," he thought for a moment, gesturing with his hand, "that floating, pure white city, could it be that it used this runic word to make the entire city float in the air?"

Upon hearing this, Agatha raised an eyebrow, but then shook her head. "It shouldn't be. I heard those skeleton warriors say that the floating city floats in the sky; it moves, it's not fixed in one place."

"Furthermore," Agatha glanced at the two green hands that Sharl held in the air, "if this runeword, Balance, is truly used, then the world described by Kapibal in his bath is all in 'The Forest Doesn't Keep Idle Goblins.' Where did the materials on the ground go? And once the ground is destroyed, the city in the sky will inevitably fall down immediately. I don't think those high elves would be that foolish."

Charles withdrew his hand. He stroked his chin. "You're right, it can't be that simple."

"But then again, what can this thing be used for?" He frowned, picking up Agatha's notebook again. "If it were long and narrow, I could figure out a way to make a floating track, which would allow for the rapid transport of people or goods. But it's only this small, so it can only be used to make a few floating toys to play with."

"Perhaps the high elves used them for some other purpose," Agatha picked up the tea on the table and took a sip. The two of them had completely forgotten about the tea while they were discussing it, and now it was getting a little cold. "If only there were a runeword that could keep it warm."

After smiling at Agatha across from him, Sharl stared at the notebook again. "Maybe there is. Anyway, after going through the whole forest, I'll probably have found most of the runewords."

"Never mind," after looking at it for a few more seconds, Charles handed the notebook back to Agatha. "Anyway, let's make a finished product first. Maybe once it's finished, we'll know what it's used for."

"You're right," Agatha put down her cup, closed her notebook, and put it into her small handbag. "I'll make two finished products this afternoon and see how they turn out."

"Yes," Charles nodded, adding a special note, "Call Grass and Lame Leg; they should be able to help you."

"Don't worry, they'll definitely be there." Agatha finished her tea in one gulp, then stood up from her chair. "When are you planning to inspect that new area?"

"There's no rush now. I'm waiting for Little John to come back and bring me something important," Charles said, his expression calming down. "Only after things are settled can I feel at ease taking people out to explore."

He was waiting for Little John to return with the holy water. Charles planned to seal the angry horn in a barrel full of holy water as soon as possible. Perhaps only in this way could he keep the demon lords from watching him. After all, they had already arrived, and there were still several demon lords eyeing him covetously.

Even though he had successfully tricked them into signing a contract and getting through that night peacefully, Xia Er couldn't guarantee what new tricks the demon lords might pull if a few more came. They were the most evil beings that everyone feared, and Xia Er believed that this matter could not be taken lightly.

"Alright, I'll go get them to work now," Agatha waved and left the Shire's stone house. "I'm sure we'll see the finished product soon."

Charles watched the other person leave, then picked up the fortress guidelines that were still being drafted on the table. He scratched his head lightly, then sighed deeply, "This is too difficult."

…………

In the afternoon, right after finishing her meal, Agatha found Shire.

"This runeword, Balance, looks pretty fun."
