One Piece: Starting with Breathing Techniques

Chapter 24 Conqueror's Haki, Awakened!

Aokiji fell silent.

What Kiro just said was somewhat contrary to his understanding.

If Kiro wasn't lying, then the justice he's upheld for so long is probably just a joke.

Ever since he witnessed the bombardment of the refugee boat in Ohara, his conviction of justice had begun to waver.

Kiro raised an eyebrow and continued, "The World Government launched a Buster Call against Ohara, claiming to the outside world that scholars on Ohara were reviving ancient weapons with the intention of overthrowing the world."

"However, the real reason they destroyed Ohara was because the scholars knew too much, enough to threaten the existence of the Celestial Dragons."

"Just to eliminate the threat, they deployed the navy and massacred all the civilians and scholars in Ohara."

"The Navy, which proclaims itself a symbol of 'justice,' is nothing more than a lackey of the World Government!"

If he could still be redeemed before, after the God Valley incident, Kiro became completely disillusioned with the Navy.

They aid and abet evil, turn a blind eye to innocent civilians, and even protect the Celestial Dragons who are the real culprits.

"Justice? Justice my ass!"

"That's ridiculous!"

"Do you really approve of this kind of navy?!"

Upon hearing this, Aokiji instinctively wanted to refute, but found himself speechless.

Every word Kiro said struck a chord with him.

Is the Navy's sense of justice truly correct?

After O'Hara, his original belief in "burning justice" had long been shattered.

Aokiji remained silent for a moment, then suddenly spoke, "Kilo, I will verify everything you said later."

"If what you're saying is true..."

A complex expression flickered in Aokiji's eyes. He shook his head and didn't continue speaking.

He changed the subject, his hawk-like gaze fixed on Kiro with a hint of curiosity, "Kiro, I'm actually quite curious, after learning so much of the truth, what are your thoughts?"

"Or rather... what is your purpose afterward?"

"Taking revenge on the Navy? Researching the century-long gap in understanding?"

"Don't worry, I won't reveal your target to anyone else."

Kilo walked to the warehouse entrance, looked at the boundless sea, and squinted slightly.

As the rain poured down, a bolt of lightning ripped through the clouds, its bright white light reflecting off Kilo's handsome face.

He drew his Dragon Slayer sword, its sharp tip pointing towards the sky, his dark eyes filled with unwavering determination.

Kiro did not answer Aokiji's question directly, but spoke softly instead.

"Aokiji, this world is sick, very sick."

The blade hummed, emitting a soft sword chime, as if echoing Kiro's voice.

"And I will keep getting stronger, until no one can stop me."

"When the day comes when no one can stop me anymore..."

"I can......"

"To end this sick world with my own hands!"

Thunder roared incessantly, its enormous rumble echoing across the sky, as if announcing its arrival to the world.

The white light from the lightning illuminated Aokiji's shocked face.

His eyes, hidden behind sunglasses, widened, no longer calm as before.

The young swordsman finally revealed his sharp fangs under the cover of night.

His ambition and aspirations were so great that Aokiji had never heard of them before.

Meeting Kiro's gaze, Aokiji frowned, his face full of solemnity.

Do you know how many powerful enemies roam this vast ocean?

"Do you know how many obstacles there will be in overthrowing the World Government?"

"You're going against the world!"

Upon hearing this, Kiro burst into laughter, and an invisible aura gradually rose around him.

The rain soaked his white hair, but it did not cause his gaze to waver in the slightest; his eyes remained as confident as ever.

"I know what I need to do."

"I have seen a wider world, and I believe I will continue to grow stronger until I surpass everything."

"And, Aokiji, there's something you've got wrong."

A terrifying aura gradually enveloped Kiro, and black and red lightning slowly began to flash from the tip of his blade.

Under Aokiji's bewildered gaze, the familiar black and red lightning slowly gathered at the tip of the blade.

Kilo slowly raised the Dragon Slayer in his hand, its sharp tip pointing directly at the dark, cloud-covered sky.

White hair danced wildly in the wind, and Kiro burst into laughter.

"It's not that I'm at odds with the world..."

"The world is against me!!"

An invisible, powerful shockwave suddenly expanded and exploded from Kilo's body, sending everything around it flying backward.

As the aura enveloped them, the naval soldiers in the naval branch who hadn't had time to escape suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed to the ground unconscious.

Several strong-willed survivors gritted their teeth, their legs giving way, and collapsed to the ground.

"What...what is this?!"

They looked up at the suddenly enraged weather, their faces filled with shock and bewilderment.

The sky above Liuhua Island flickered between light and darkness as a fierce storm raged and dense, dark clouds rolled in.

Thunder roared and flashed through the clouds, yet it shone with an unusual black and red light.

Only Aokiji stared in utter shock at the roaring thunder and rain. He recognized what it was and muttered to himself, "Conqueror's Haki... Haki!?"

"A 12-year-old who possesses Conqueror's Haki?!"

Kiro turned his head and met Aokiji's gaze, his ambitious eyes reflecting unwavering confidence.

"I will prove it slowly..."

"One day, I will overturn this sick world!"

The blue pheasant remained silent.

For some reason, he found himself somewhat believing Kiro's seemingly arrogant declaration.

Although it seemed impossible, he had a vague intuition.

Kiro wasn't lying!

He has absolute confidence in himself!

You can tell just from that kind of Conqueror's Haki.

Although this level of Conqueror's Haki is still relatively immature, it doesn't have much impact on a master like Aokiji.

But what if this was just the first awakening of a 12-year-old boy?

Looking outside the warehouse, lightning flashed and thunder roared, and black and red lightning howled across the world. Aokiji could not hide the shock in his heart, and the terrifying scene was reflected in his eyes.

If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he would never have believed that this was the effect of awakening Conqueror's Haki for the first time.

At least, Aokiji had only heard of such a scene in legends.

He slowly exhaled, his mind filled with countless thoughts.

Beyond Kilo, a figure radiating coldness slowly walked into the rain.

"Okay, Kiro, I believe you."

"I hope I can witness the day you achieve your dream."

He hadn't taken two steps when Kiro suddenly called out to him, "Wait!"

Aokiji paused in his tracks.

"Vice Admiral, where is Saul?"

"If I'm not mistaken, you must have deliberately saved Sauro, right?"

"Sauro has been frozen by you. You should know where he is now."
