The Black Bloodline of Hogwarts
Chapter 51 The Legend of the Dragon

A faint yet clear sound made the hearts of the people and the dog stop for a moment, and all their attention was focused on the egg.
An almost imperceptible crack appeared on the eggshell, from which pale golden light seeped out, creating a tiny Tyndall effect in the air.
The dragon egg began to shake slightly, and cracks spread rapidly like a spider web. Suddenly, an even louder cracking sound rang out.
A small hole was pried open at the top of the eggshell, and a wet, black wing tip emerged, clumsily flapping in the air.
Although the wingtips were small, their sharp outlines were already visible, and the small claws on them gleamed with a cold metallic luster.
Suddenly, an even more violent impact occurred. Eggshell fragments flew everywhere, and a small black head poked its head out.
Everyone gasped in astonishment: those eyes! They shone like molten gold.
Then the little black dragon, having fully extended its body, let out a "roar" cry. The sound was slightly high-pitched but carried an undeniable power, as if reminding everyone that this thing, no matter how small, is still a dragon.
It has two small horns on its head, and instead of white vapor, it spews smoke with sparks from its nostrils.
At that moment, it shook its head, scattering slime everywhere, then tilted its head and curiously looked around with its big amber eyes.
Hagrid slowly extended his finger, as if wanting to stroke the little life that had just arrived in the world out of fear of frightening it.
"Hello, little one," Hagrid said softly, his voice trembling slightly with excitement. The little black dragon did not back down, but took a step forward, its wet nose gently touching Hagrid's finger.
"Look, it recognizes its mother!" Hagrid exclaimed excitedly.
The young wizards in the room were completely stunned by the sight before them. Harry, Harry, and his friends even forgot the purpose of their visit for a moment.
After all, it was a living dragon! Right in front of them!
The little black dragon suddenly opened its mouth and sneezed, spewing out a small cluster of black-gold flames that ignited a spark on Ron's sleeve.
"Whoa!" Ron exclaimed, patting his sleeves.
Hagrid quickly helped Ron put out the sparks. "Don't blame it, Norber is still young."
Hermione: "Norber?"
"It needs a name," Hagrid said, looking at the little dragon with affection.
"Where did you get this dragon egg?" This time, Liria got to the point.
"Uh, I won it from a stranger at the 'Pig Head Bar' not long ago."
"It seems Hagrid is a heavy drinker and a gambler," Julien thought to himself.
"Hagrid, this is too dangerous!" Hermione was the first to react, her voice sharp with anxiety.
"Dragons are forbidden by the Ministry of Magic! They are extremely dangerous magical creatures! And they grow very quickly, getting bigger and bigger."
"I know keeping a dragon is illegal, but it's so small and helpless right now!" Hagrid said painfully. "But what can I do? Where can I take it?"
Julien looked at the scene before him and had already made up his mind. "I think Ron can handle this."
"Ron?" Hermione and Harry asked at the same time, their voices full of disbelief.
Ron suddenly looked up: "That's right! Charlie! He raises dragons in Romania, he can definitely help!"
Things seemed to be taking a turn for the better. A glimmer of hope finally appeared on Hagrid's face.
At this moment, Julien noticed that everyone's attention was focused on Xiaolong, and they seemed to have forgotten their purpose.
"Wait a minute," Julien spoke up, drawing everyone's attention back, "You just said that someone wanted to steal the Philosopher's Stone, and you suspect Professor Snape?"
Harry nodded, his expression turning serious again.
"Yes. We have evidence! We saw him casting spells against Harry's broom during the Quidditch match; and we also found out he threatened Professor Quirinus Quirrell!"
"Are you sure?" Julien asked in a deep voice. "Is it possible... there's someone else?"
"Who else could it be but him?" Ron said indignantly. "He's utterly wicked!"
Julien didn't argue further. He knew that, given Harry and the others' current understanding, it would be difficult to believe that the stuttering, cowardly Professor Quirrell was the real mastermind. Besides, even if he said it directly, probably no one would believe him.
Just then, a soft sound of footsteps on the snow came from outside the cabin. The sound was very faint, but it instantly alerted everyone inside.
Hagrid quickly grabbed a cardboard box and covered the little dragon. Julien, meanwhile, discreetly reached into the hidden pocket inside his school uniform and grasped his wand.
The footsteps stopped at the door of the cottage, and a figure flashed past the window, only a wisp of platinum blonde hair could be vaguely seen.
A few seconds later, the sound of hurried footsteps seemed to fade into the distance.
"Oh, this is bad," Hagrid muttered.
The night wind, carrying fine snowflakes, lashed against the young wizards' bare cheeks.
The warm light of Hagrid's hut was now far behind Harry, who looked toward the Forbidden Forest beside him. The silhouette of the Forbidden Forest undulated in the moonlight like the back of a giant beast, sending a chill down Harry's spine.
"It's all your fault, Ron," Hermione complained in a low voice as she trotted to catch up with the group. "You were making such a racket when we came out, and now look what's happened! We've probably been targeted by that skunk Malfoy!"
"Haha, Hermione, you've learned to swear since you've been with Harry and the others," Julien laughed heartlessly.
"How was I supposed to know he'd be following me?" Ron protested, feeling wronged. "That guy's more persistent than Peeves!"
Harry walked silently at the front, his hand gripping his wand tightly.
He knew better than anyone that platinum-haired boy would never miss an opportunity to make things difficult for them. This scoundrel had already tricked them countless times; how could he be so careless again?
Julien and Liria lagged behind the group. Liria's cloak fluttered in the night wind, and her icy blue eyes occasionally swept into the depths of the Forbidden Forest, as if sensing something.
"Have you seen a dragon before? You seem quite familiar with it."
Liria nodded slightly, then shook her head, a strand of her silvery-white hair slipping from her hood. "I've only ever seen Frostblade Dragons from the North. I've never seen a Norwegian Ridgeback like this." She paused.
"Frostblade Dragon? This is the first time I've ever heard of it."
“That’s unique to our area,” Liria said, smoothing her hair. “In my town, Winterspring, there’s a spring that never freezes on the north side of the town, and many Frostblade Dragons live nearby.”
"Never freezes?" Julien immediately thought of the magic nodes in northern Scandinavia.
"Yes," Liria chimed in, getting Julien's point. "The Frostblade Dragon isn't very big; it has blue stripes on its white body."
Do they hurt people?
"Hurt people? How could that be?" Liria looked at Julien strangely. "They feed on Crushed-Tooth Bears. As long as you don't harm them, they won't harm humans."
As she spoke, Lyria sighed, "One of the little dragons is named Hilotam—hehe, I named my dragon too—and he's my good friend. Whenever I put a piece of meat on a certain rock, he comes out to see me."
"I really want to go see these amazing creatures with you," Julien couldn't help but exclaim.
"It's not difficult at all. I'll take you there during the holidays."
"It's a deal, let's pinky swear!"
What Julien didn't expect was that when he finally arrived at Dongquan, a danger awaited them.
