The Black Bloodline of Hogwarts

Chapter 60 Falling Star Bay

Julien felt a chill run down his spine after hearing Evanna's words.

"Do you know where this is?" the ghost suddenly asked.

"Falling Star Bay?"

"Yes."

Do you know why it's called Falling Star Bay?

"Did a star really fall from the sky?"

"Indeed," the ghost named Evanna nodded. "Legend has it that a long, long time ago, a star from outer space crashed here. It brought abundant magic to this place, but also left a wound on this world."

"Initially, wizards discovered that magic could be multiplied here, so they all gathered here, built this city, and studied magic together."

"And then?" Julien knew how to play the straight man.

"Later, it was said that for some unknown reason, many wizards here became particularly fond of studying black magic, went insane, and even attacked each other. Gradually, most of the wizards left this place, and it slowly became deserted, leaving only the legend of Falling Star Bay in the winds of the mainland."

"By the time Pyxis and I found this place, it had already sunk into the sea. But even so, isn't this place still full of miracles?"

"Yes, at least the wizards of my time cannot do these things," Julien said, looking up at the sea.

"We estimate that the reason why the wizards here have become abnormal is still related to the leakage of the aura from another world."

"Therefore, a star falling from the sky is a double-edged sword," Julien said.

"Smart," the ghost Evanna exclaimed.

"So it was you who sealed this place away?"

"No, it wasn't us. By the time we found this place, it had already been sealed off. After all, this world is full of capable people, and perhaps a sage had already discovered the anomaly here."

"We only found a fragment of a star, a fragment containing extraordinary power. We used it to reinforce the seal and set up a barrier around it. Only my descendants and Pyxis's descendants can enter this place."

Hearing this was a little awkward, but Julien quickly noticed a crescent-shaped groove on the black stone slab; it was empty. "The fragment? Where's the fragment?"

"After reinforcing the seal, Pyxis took the fragment to a wizarding school established by some of her other friends, saying it was to seal the 'exit'."

The Mirror of Eris?

"But the seal needs maintenance." Julien understood. "So you've been here all this time?"

"Not really, there are several similar places, but this is where Pyxis and I parted ways, and I've never seen her again since." Ghost Evanna's face showed a look of reminiscence.

"I hope Evanna doesn't harbor any 'G-Deng' feelings towards my ancestor," Julien thought to himself with a smirk.

After a while, her expression gradually became serious.

"But recently, someone has been damaging the barrier we set up. I don't know who it is, and I don't have the ability to stop them right now. But damaging the barrier will also affect the loosening of this seal. You see, the runes there have dimmed."

"Then what should we do? Do we still need that meteorite?"

Julien understood that the key issue lay in the crux of the problem.

"That's right, child. That piece of star should still be at that school. You know that school, right?"

"Yes, it must be Hogwarts. That's where I studied."

"That's wonderful. Go and find it, child, and retrieve the fragments of the star." The ghost's appearance gradually dimmed, and his voice grew softer and softer.

"Wait, this place is too big. Are there any clues?"

"I don't know, it must be in a secret place. But your bloodline can sense it. It was Pyxis who sensed it first. I'm tired, child, until next time." With that, the ghost vanished.

"Do ghosts ever get tired? How come the ghosts of Hogwarts never seem to get tired?" Julien muttered to himself, just like their Lady Grey from Ravenclaw, who always seemed to float around and never disappeared, except he had never seen her speak.

Just then, the entire underwater city shook, and Julien felt dizzy. The next moment, he was back on shore, in the pine forest before he saw Falling Star Bay.

Julien leaned against a sea pine tree and took deep breaths for a while before he recovered. Looking back, it seemed to be just another ordinary rocky beach and ordinary cliffs.

Suddenly, footsteps approached from afar, and there was more than one person.

Julien quickly found a large tree and hid behind it.

Footsteps approached, and a voice rang out, "Wolfgang, where is that place you were talking about?"

Wolfgang?

Julien peered over and saw that the man in the lead was Wolfgang, whom he had just seen, followed by two thin, middle-aged men dressed in outdated, old-fashioned suits.

"You two slow-witted idiots, didn't you see that the space in front is folded up a bit?" Wolfgang said gruffly.

"I didn't see it. Even if you did, you still wouldn't be able to get in," the man who had spoken earlier muttered.

"What did you say!" Wolfgang turned around and said fiercely, "Give me what the boss gave me! You idiot!"

A man in black handed over something that looked like a medicine box.

"Hurry up, you idiot!" Wolfgang snatched the box, opened it, and took out a black, crystal-like mineral the size of a pigeon's egg.

"Hey, the boss said this thing is highly radioactive, so you can't handle it with your bare hands. You have to wear dragon skin gloves," the first man to speak reminded him.

Wolfgang was stunned. "Damn it! Why didn't you say so earlier!" He threw the ore on the ground, stepped forward and kicked the man hard, cursing incessantly.

After he put on the gloves, he pulled out a wand from somewhere and carefully picked up a black ore, which fit perfectly into the end of the wand.

Then Wolfgang, waving his wand in a circle above his head, pointed the tip of the wand towards the beach and shouted:

"Detecto Latibulum! (Concealment Detection Charm)"

In an instant, Julien noticed that the scenery in the direction the tip of his cane was pointing suddenly flashed, as if a frame had been skipped. And that flash was the same Falling Star Bay that Julien had seen before.

"See that? It's right there!" Wolfgang exclaimed excitedly.

"Where? No, not here." Neither of the two Black men noticed. The flash in front of them was indeed too fast; if Julien hadn't seen it, he probably would have just felt a momentary daze.

"You two idiots! Utter fools!" Wolfgang yelled. "I'll do it again."

Then he shouted again:

"Dieter Latibro!"

Nothing happened this time.

"Dieter Latibro!"

"Dieter Latibro!"

……

"Dieter Latibro! Cough, cough, Dieter... Ugh! Ugh~"

Wolfgang performed the ritual more than ten times, but to no avail. He even became hoarse from shouting, couldn't breathe, felt nauseous, and collapsed to the ground to vomit.

After resting for a long time, Wolfgang got up. "I'll try one last time. You two, stop messing around!"

The two men in black exchanged a helpless glance, but dared not say anything.

"Dictator Latibro! Rumble! Rumble! ~"

"puff."

With a "poof," the black ore at the end of Wolfgang's staff shattered, emitting a puff of blue smoke.

"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! We failed again."

"Let's go, Wolfgang. It's not our fault; the boss just didn't give us enough stones."

Wolfgang sighed, seemed about to say something but then remained silent. He took a couple of steps, turned back for a glance, and said fiercely, "I'll be back."

After the others had walked away, Julien came out clutching his stomach; he had almost burst out laughing.

It seems I still have time. I'll search the school thoroughly after the semester starts. If all else fails, I'll ask Dumbledore. This concerns the safety of the world; Dumbledore can't ignore it.
