Chapter 194 The Ouroboros

Suren stood in the shadows, her brow furrowing slightly as she watched Collins rush out of the room.

Although he couldn't see what was happening outside, he could hear the voice of a strange man outside, and a moment later, the sound of a human falling to the ground.

"Sulen!"

Charlie's voice suddenly came through the earphones.

"Although the lights in the banquet hall of the manor were off, the external surveillance footage showed that no guests had left!"

"You didn't leave?" Suren's eyes narrowed.

He walked quietly to the window, parted the curtains, and looked outside.

Outside, dozens of people dressed in suits and tuxedos were slowly walking towards the building from not far from the manor.

The vast majority of them were elderly people with gray hair, and their faces were expressionless.

Just then, the strange man's voice rang out again.

"Suren, how long do you intend to hide in my daughter's room?"

Suren turned around, realizing that Dean had already discovered her.

He looked towards the door and met the gaze of Los, who was staring in astonishment at the bedroom after hearing his father's words.

"you----"

Los instinctively took a few steps back.

But she hadn't had a chance to say it.

Suren's figure appeared before her like a ghost, grabbing her by the neck.

He gave Los no chance to react or call for help, his gaze icy.

"Snap!"

A crisp sound of bones breaking rang out, and Los's face stiffened. His head, which had lost its support, tilted to the side, and he met the gaze of his father standing downstairs.

She raised her hand slightly, a look of helplessness and fear of death on her face, before she lost her life.

"Bang."

Suren casually tossed the body down.

Under the lamplight, he officially met Dean Armitage, the de facto head of the Armitage family.

The other person looked much younger than in the intelligence photos, with an upright posture and none of the signs of old age one would expect.

At that moment, Dean was standing downstairs.

Faced with his daughter's tragic death, he showed no grief whatsoever, not even a trace of anger, as if the one who had just died was merely an insignificant ant.

"It seems she didn't win your favor."

Dean took a sip of his coffee and smiled. "But if you don't like this style, that's okay, Suren."

His gaze swept over Suren, his tone laced with arrogance: "Here, I have many daughters of different styles and ages."

"You can choose anytime you want, until you are satisfied."

He placed the coffee on the table beside him, patted his head, as if he had come up with a brilliant idea.

"Oh! If you're interested in that little girl named Patty, I can make you an exact replica, and she'll only listen to you, absolutely loyal."

"Of course, if you're worried about your uncle, Dante—"

Dean slowly opened his arms, his expression one of fervor.

"It's alright, as long as you're willing to cooperate with me, I can help you get rid of him."

"We have mastered this godlike power, and this world should rightfully be under our feet."

Upon hearing these provocative words, a glint of purple light flashed in Suren's eyes.

A giant ghostly hand shot out from the sky and grabbed directly at the old woman standing not far away on the second floor.

"puff!"

Just as the ghostly hand was about to crush the old woman, her body, like a bubble, turned into a cloud of pink mist and exploded.

The powder did not dissipate, but quickly adhered to Suren's purple ghost hand and spread towards his body along the flow of magic.

Suren frowned. This was the first time he had ever seen such a bizarre method. He immediately stopped the magical output to the ghost hand and let it dissipate into the air.

"Is this your source of confidence?"

Suren snorted coldly and gripped the long sword in his hand.

Dean looked at Suren's unyielding attitude and showed some disappointment.

"It seems you didn't understand what I just said."

Dean shook his head, seemingly wanting to continue his speech.

But the next second, a blade of light crossed space and flashed across his body.

"Pfft"

Blood spurted into the sky, and Dean's disappointed expression and slightly open mouth were forever etched on his face.

The headless corpse and its head fell to the ground together.

The demonic transformation on Suren's body dissipated, and he held a knife in one hand, looking at Dean who had been killed so easily, somewhat incredulous.

An ordinary person?!

"How is this possible?"

A person who is in a cult of evil witches and who funds the establishment of experimental bases to conduct all kinds of inhumane experiments and demonic fusion.

How could he possibly be just an ordinary person who couldn't even kill a chicken?

Suren leaped down and swung his long sword once more.

With a few slashes, Dean's body was cut into several pieces.

However, no physical restoration or demon breaking out of the body occurred.

"it's over?"

Arthur's voice came through the earpiece. Through the miniature camera on Suren's body, they could clearly see the gruesome sight of Dean being cut into pieces.

Arthur, too, could not believe that the ruler of such a vast empire could be so easily killed in his own home.

Just then, Suren suddenly noticed something was wrong.

The blood that had been flowing on the ground suddenly became thinner.

In the blink of an eye, the liquid on the ground was absorbed by the floor below, leaving not a trace of blood.

Suren's eyes narrowed, and he instantly realized something. His magic power erupted, and he gripped the long sword tightly with both hands, slashing fiercely at his feet.

"boom!"

The magic tore the floor apart, revealing a spacious underground space below.

Suren leaped down and landed steadily on the basement floor.

The air in the basement reeked of a foul, bloody stench.

The surrounding walls, along with the ground, are carved with a huge pattern: a snake with its body coiled in a circle, its head biting its own tail, forming a symbol of infinity and cycles.

In the center of the symbol, a pupil stands out, as if it is staring intently at Suren from all directions.

Fresh blood flowed slowly in the trench.

"My God—Suren! That's—"

The exclamations of Charlie and the others could be heard through the earpiece.

Suren looked ahead.

In the center of this ouroboros symbol, dozens of corpses kneel in worship.

They were all dressed in expensive suits and formal wear, both men and women, and their heads had been cut off.

These headless corpses, like the most devout believers, knelt and worshipped facing directly forward.

Their hands were raised high, and on their palms was a head.

There were no statues of gods or monsters in the places where these corpses knelt in devout worship.

There was only one hospital bed there.

A hospital bed that looked quite old, even a bit rusty.

The hospital bed was empty, but it was surrounded by all kinds of state-of-the-art medical equipment.

Numerous IV tubes were inserted directly into the hospital bed.

"Sulen".

At that moment, Dean's familiar voice came from the empty hospital bed, without the slightest emotional fluctuation.

"Why don't you reconsider my suggestion?"

As the voice faded, a blurry figure appeared on the hospital bed.
