Half an hour later, Suren brought Angela to Constantine's exorcism hut.

"Why did you bring me to this bastard's place?"

Angela's face darkened.

"Just trust me, ma'am," Suren said.

The room was filled with smoke.

Constantine sat at the table, smoking and squinting as he fiddled with the weapon in his hand.

Seeing Suren enter, Constantine raised the Holy Burst in his hand and said smugly, "You've come at the right time. I just took on a new case, and I'll show you the power of this new weapon in a bit."

The simple and brutal physical exorcism that Suren had used last time greatly shocked him and completely opened up the mind of this traditional exorcist.

Then, he noticed Angela following behind Suren and frowned: "Why did you bring this troublesome woman along?"

Suren patted Angela, who was about to explode, pulled Constantine away, and said, "Her sister's death is related to Mammon's coming plan. You'd better take charge of this matter."

"You're so capable, you can even pin Midnight to the ground, why don't you do this yourself?"

Constantine exhaled a puff of smoke and snorted coldly.

Suren feigned a sigh and said quietly, "I don't have as many sophisticated methods as you to directly open a passage to hell."

"Besides, you don't really want to go to hell after you die, do you? If you resolve this matter, you might be able to get a ticket to heaven from God."

Suren's exorcism methods essentially rely on overwhelming with magical power.

Constantine relied more on his own extraordinary talents and special physique, coupled with his years of research in the field of mysticism.

All he needs to do to get to hell is fill a basin with water, put his feet in it, and then hold a black cat and watch it. That will allow his soul to cross dimensions and reach hell.

If it were Suren instead...

He estimated he could stare at the cat for most of the day.

At that point, even the black cat might not be able to resist meowing at him, "What...?"

Although this guy only knows how to smoke and drink, he is indeed the best person to handle this kind of thing.

When Constantine heard that it involved Mammon, and especially that it might send him to Heaven, he couldn't help but ask, "Really?"

He had no choice; the thought of the demons he had tricked in hell made him wonder what kind of torture they would suffer there.

"Of course, think about it, what is Mammon's identity? Son of Satan!"

Suren patiently persuaded, "Doesn't its arrival mean that Hell has broken the contract first? When Hell launches a full-scale invasion of the human world, how many casualties will it cause?"

"If you can handle such a major event, what reason would God have not to let you go to heaven?"

Constantine's expression changed several times after hearing these words.

He glared angrily at Suren, knowing that the other party had a handle on him, and could only reluctantly agree.

"Okay, I'll take on this woman's case."

Constantine stubbed out his cigarette. "In exchange, you'll have to help me with this tricky task I have on my plate."

Suren nodded: "Of course, good brothers should help each other."

"Please sit on the sofa over there, ma'am."

Constantine glanced at Angela and said curtly, "Recall your sister's unusual behavior before she died."

Although Angela had doubts about the request he made, she obediently sat down on the sofa because he had finally agreed to help find out the cause of her sister's death.

After walking straight to Angela, Constantine opened a drawer, pulled out a file folder stamped with the Vatican seal, threw it on the table, and began to explain the case.

"Not long ago, the Vatican received an urgent report from a couple of investigators known as the Warrens, who were investigating unusual activities."

"During their investigation, the couple discovered a haunting of a single-parent family. At first, they thought it was just a vengeful spirit, but later investigations revealed that the spirit was merely a manipulated puppet."

"And the one pulling the strings behind all this is a powerful demon disguised as a nun."

"Because the danger was far beyond their ability to handle, the Warrens had no choice but to seek help from the Vatican."

"After assessment, the Vatican assigned this mess to me."

Upon hearing this description, Suren's eyes flickered slightly.

The Warrens?

Aren't these the same two spiritual investigators from The Conjuring?

This so-called demon should be Valak, one of the seventy-two demons of Hell.

Centuries ago, a noble duke obsessed with dark magic held a sacrificial ceremony in his castle in order to obtain dark power, successfully opening a rift in reality that connected to hell.

Halfway through the sacrificial ceremony, the Vatican noticed something amiss and dispatched crusaders to seal the crack.

To prevent the cracks from reopening, the Vatican converted the castle into a monastery and ordered the nuns to take turns praying day and night to suppress the underground fissures.

Until the outbreak of World War II, the bomb caused an earthquake, the seal was broken, and the demon Valak was completely released, slaughtering the entire monastery.

Ultimately, Valak possessed the body of one of the humans who went to investigate and escaped the area.

"It's truly surprising that someone like you would willingly risk your life for the Holy See?"

Suren joked.

"I'm not like you, a guy who does whatever he wants."

Constantine gave him a disapproving look. "I'm going to Heaven."

"Wipe the butts of these high and mighty clergy and do the dirty work. That's how I get my ticket to heaven from God."

Constantine lit another cigarette and continued, "This target is ruthless. It slaughtered an entire convent of nuns a long time ago and even entered society through a human body."

"If we don't solve this problem as soon as possible, who knows where it will spread to next?"

To be honest, it would be very risky for him to handle it on his own.

When such a demon possesses a person, his terminally ill body simply cannot defeat it.

This is also why he racked his brains to create the Divine Burst.

Suren's initiative in seeking his help today provided him with an excellent reason to ask.

When the time comes, let Suren confront the evil spirit head-on, while I stand in the rear and calmly carry out the exorcism ritual to drive that demon back to hell.

If it weren't for this guy's excessive chatter and his deep understanding of himself, the two of them forming a team would be practically born to exorcise demons.

However, Suren's plans were completely different from his.

He looked at the mission information that had just popped up in his mind.
