Archer's Adventure Manual

Today is the day the Dog Dagger Squad assembles; they will choose a new adventure mission to prepare for their next adventure.

The assembled group was full of energy. The success of their first adventure had greatly boosted the morale of the team, and everyone was now eagerly anticipating the next adventure.

"We believe that as long as we keep working hard, we will one day become the strongest team! Everyone is here, let's go choose a mission!" Lin Wen said passionately.

"Woof woof! The strongest team!"

The group entered the mission hall and began selecting missions.

Loran began to scan the various tasks on the task wall haphazardly.

"Rescue the kitten trapped in the tree... 10 silver coins reward?!"

Loran blinked as he looked at the mission. They were going to such a far place and might only get a few dozen silver coins in the end, but now they could get 10 silver coins for saving a kitten. It seemed like a good deal!

Lin Wen noticed Loran, who was engrossed in watching, and curiously leaned closer, pouting, "You wouldn't happen to be thinking of taking this mission, would you?"

Loran chuckled, "No, it's just that this mission seems pretty worthwhile."

Lin Wen snorted, "Hey, have you forgotten what Noah said? These tasks aren't as simple as they seem on the surface. This task assignment is written vaguely. It doesn't say what kind of cat to find or where to rescue it."

"If you change any of these conditions, the difficulty will be completely different. For example, if she wants you to rescue a cat in the Forest Village, or to rescue it in the Goblin Camp, it will be completely different."

"Uh, okay." Loran shrugged. "I'll carefully scrutinize mission assignments."

"Hmph, that's for the best."

After browsing through the task list, the group finally selected a task of suitable difficulty.

Mission Assignment: Clear out a kobold-infested cave near Inada Village (estimated to contain 30 kobolds); optional: investigate clues related to the kobolds' faith (this is an additional posting from the Adventurers' Guild).

Task Rewards: 200 Silver Coins (total); 1. Submit a Kobold tooth; a sharp main tooth can be exchanged for an additional 50 Copper Coins; 2. Provide monetary rewards based on the clues found during the investigation.

"This mission looks pretty much the same as the goblin extermination mission I took on last time!" Lin Wen carefully examined the mission assignment.

"But the targets have become kobolds, so they should be a bit more troublesome. The goblin camp we went to before had kobold architecture, and those traps alone were quite a headache," Loran recalled.

Noah, however, had a different perspective, explaining, "The kobold caves are indeed much more troublesome than the goblin camps, but that comes with many more advantages."

"First of all, there are minerals. Kobolds gather minerals in caves, especially shiny ores, so killing them will likely yield some valuable ores as extra loot."

"Secondly, there's the optional quest in this mission. We can gather clues that the Adventurers' Guild wants in the kobold caves. If we can find some clues, we can get more rewards; if not, it's not a loss."

"So although kobolds are more troublesome than goblins, they are very beneficial to our team. As long as we are careful to avoid the traps set by the kobolds, their combat power is not a big threat to us."

Listening to Noah's clear and logical analysis, everyone agreed that the risks of the Kobold Cave were accompanied by good rewards.

And isn't the purpose of adventurers to constantly improve themselves and rise to challenges?

"I think it's a good idea, what about you guys?" Lin Wen was the first to speak up.

"I have no objection."

"I agree!"

"Woof! Bite the kobold's ass!"

Everyone was stunned, wondering why Brian's words sounded strange.

However, they didn't pay attention to these details, tore off the quest assignment, and went to the adventurers' counter.

After submitting the adventurer party information, the receptionist began to explain the details of the selectable quest items.

"Brave adventurers, we have recently discovered that the kobolds are behaving strangely. They are stealing poultry and feed from farmers more frequently and are often attacking lone farmers. We suspect that they have found a creature they can worship and are working even harder for it."

"The kobolds work so hard to dig caves and hoard treasures in order to attract a dragon, but if they really attract a dragon, our town will probably cease to exist. So for now, everything seems to be fine."

"But we also need to pay attention to this, and we hope you can take this opportunity to investigate the recent religious issues of the kobolds to ensure the safety of the surrounding area."

"You can collect clues through the decorations, carvings, and inscriptions in the cave, and there will be corresponding rewards..."

The Adventurers' Guild staff explained the quest in detail, giving the Dog Dagger Squad a general direction for their investigation, allowing them to search for clues.

"It seems things haven't been very peaceful in our area lately," Noah remarked casually.

Unexpectedly, the staff responded: "Adventurer, your intuition is correct. Monsters have been appearing more frequently recently, and there may be elite monsters of varying strengths appearing. We need to work together to maintain peace in this area."

"Hmm, we will! Leave this task to us!" Lin Wen said confidently as she accepted the task assignment.

Loran, however, felt a vague unease.

After discussing some general plans, they agreed to depart the next day.

Meanwhile, Loran was preparing to go to Lena's training camp to learn more training skills and to learn some knowledge about dealing with kobolds.

Cramming at the last minute can definitely be useful.

Seeing Loran's departure route, Finita immediately followed. "Loran, are you heading to the training camp?"

Loran nodded. "Yes, but training time at the training camp hasn't started yet. I'm going to grab something to eat."

"Hmm! Can we go together?"

"Oh, okay, no problem."

After Loran and Finita very gentlemanly split the bill for their meal, they went to the training camp together.

"Hey, what brings you two here together today?" Lena said with a mischievous grin.

"Our team just finished discussing our next mission, so we came together," Finita explained with a smile.

Lena nodded, somewhat surprised. "You're going on your next adventure so soon? Hmm, that's pretty efficient. Do you need me to give you some intensive training today?"
