The alchemy and pharmaceutical courses at Matthias's have been running for a while now, but Lu Yuan doesn't plan to go there. He wants to focus on passing the certification exam at the end of the month first.

As for swordsmanship, spear fighting, horsemanship, and archery and projectiles—those courses related to physical skills—Lu Yuan simply didn't attend them.

After all, for Lu Yuan, learning physical techniques would be of no use if it didn't improve his physical fitness and stabilize his training methods, so Lu Yuan simply didn't plan to do it.

The only lesson that made Lu Yuan sit a little longer was on the stability and convergence of pathways.

The instructor was the Stillwater Knight, who was somewhat similar in style to the Blue Knight, not being very talkative.

As soon as he stood in front of the podium, an aura of authority was involuntarily revealed, and the classroom instantly fell silent.

When Lu Yuan saw him, he suddenly remembered listening to the older students talking about their past in the cafeteria.

The second case of a rampage this year involved a senior student who mutated into a monster and was killed on the spot. The one who did it was this Still Water Knight, who seemed very ruthless and decisive.

And Leon did indeed appear in the class.

He sat in the front row, listening intently, his notes densely filled with information. It seemed he had realized the problem with his method of learning, so he dutifully came to class.

Lu Yuan sat in the back row for the entire class.

His first purpose in going there was to check if Leon had come. If he hadn't, Lu Yuan would definitely let Leon know.

The second thing I did was to see if the course was useful to me, and it turned out that it wasn't very useful.

This course teaches how to control pathways and suppress the risk of rampage. But what it offers is still not as good as the Guardian manual that Ink gave him.

So Lu Yuan simply didn't go; he only came once.

Lu Yuan rarely attended a lecture on knightly oaths and history.

He had originally wanted to find out if there was any information about the Four Horsemen, or even just a few words of explanation.

But it turned out he was overthinking it. The old knight in charge of the lectures was quite old, and when he talked about history, it was like he was talking about his own family affairs. It was somewhat fragmented, and what he talked about was more about the origin of an old knight's oath and some vague history of the knight academy. He didn't get much substance out of it.

This kind of course is suitable for people who are interested in history, but it wasn't very useful for Lu Yuan, so he didn't plan to come back after listening to one lesson.

The only thing that Lu Yuan found regrettable was that there was still no news about the public lectures given by the Grand Knight Commander of Rock.

Lu Yuan glanced at the bulletin board several times as he passed by, but the section for open classes was always empty; there was nothing there.

Lu Yuan wasn't in a hurry, but he was a little helpless. After all, the matter of timing still depended on the Grand Knight Commander of Rock, and he didn't know when that would be.

But what Lu Yuan truly felt was worth the time were two courses.

The first subject is bizarre ecology.

The classes were held in the specimen display room on the ground floor of the tower. It was a long and narrow room that was quieter and larger than the upper floors.

Once inside, there are shelves on both sides that reach the ceiling, filled with glass cabinets and metal containers of all sizes.

Many of them were organs soaking in liquid, fur nailed to boards, dried claws and teeth, layered on top of each other, each with a special label underneath bearing a name and number.

Several specially made lanterns hung on the wall, casting a soft yellow light that illuminated everything in each cabinet.

This arrangement made Lu Yuan feel as if he had returned to Grimport, when he had just arrived in this world.

The instructor was a Frostwolf Knight, who possessed a sharp, hunter-like aura, much like that of a hawk.

The course had just started, which was a stroke of luck for Lu Yuan.

There were many students attending the class, and Lu Yuan even saw Leon, although Leon had chosen a seat much closer to the front than Lu Yuan.

The Frostwolf Knight's introduction was very simple. He merely introduced himself and then went on to explain the main content of the course, which concerned the strangeness of the North.

For each item, he would explain three things: what it is called, what its characteristics are, and how to deal with it if you encounter it.

The Frostwolf Knight's teaching method has a strong sense of practical training.

At the same time, a manual will be issued, which is a detailed manual jointly created by the Frostraven Knight and other knights.

Each of the strange creatures is listed in the same format, with its name, danger level, appearance, habitat, and habits listed one by one, and each item is written clearly.

The Frostwolf Knights also categorized the eeriness of the North into three levels based on their danger: low danger, high danger, and no danger.

When the manual was distributed, everyone received a copy.

Lu Yuan flipped through two pages and saw several materials he had previously exchanged for, listed in the danger level classifications.

Among them, the silk of the Frost Spider is two units per thread, which corresponds to no danger.

The molting of the snow worm is a five-volume set, posing no danger.

The Snow Wolf Core has 15 points, which corresponds to low danger.

The Snowy Owl's egg score of 15 points corresponds to a low-risk level.

The bead in the mouth of the one who died of cold is worth 20 points, which corresponds to high danger.

There's also the Ice Skull user, a set of which costs twenty-four points and is also considered high-risk.

Therefore, the more expensive the material, the higher the possibility of high risk.

This pattern matches my own exchange history perfectly.

During class that day, the Frostraven Knight was introducing the Ice Skullbringer.

Instead of directly taking out the picture book and explaining it, the Frostraven Knight had someone carry something over.

The thing was like a coffin; it took four people to barely lift it.

When it was put down, the ground made a dull thud.

The four corners of the coffin-like container were encased in metal.

The container is made of a special type of glass, with faint inscriptions within its layers. Inside, a liquid hangs heavy on the surface, giving it a murky appearance from a distance, and submerged within it is the enormous corpse of an Ice Skull Being.

The Frostwolf Knight didn't stand on ceremony, patting the glass container and saying:

"In my class, I will show you as many of the strange things in the picture book as possible. Now come up here and look at them carefully. Who can understand them just by comparing them to the picture book? Come on."

The students exchanged glances and then swarmed over.

When everyone looked closer, they discovered that the thing was grayish-white all over, with its skin completely shrunken and almost glued to the bone, making it impossible to see the flesh underneath.

Its head is much larger than that of an average person.

The flesh and bones on his face were almost frozen together, making it impossible to distinguish his facial features.

On this dead Ice Skull, its hands were resting on its chest, its fingers were very slender, and there was a distinct blackness in the nails. This blackness did not come from the skin, but from the bone beneath the skin.
