Several furious tourists rushed up the steps and pounded on the heavy solid wood door, making a dull "thump, thump, thump" sound.

But in front of the heavy solid wood door, these knocking sounds seemed pale and powerless.

……

At the end of the street.

Upon seeing that scene, Li Dayong angrily threw his hat onto the snow.

"Grass!!"

Li Dayong flew into a rage. Pointing at the crowd more than a hundred meters ahead, still banging on doors, shouting, and watching the commotion with their phones, he trembled with anger and began to curse in a hoarse voice:

"You bunch of self-righteous idiots! What are you doing causing trouble in front of someone's shop?!"

"I dragged myself out of my warm bed at 4:30, stood in the freezing snow for two whole hours, and didn't even get a sip of hot soy milk! All ruined by you bunch of idiots who just follow trends online all day!!"

"Mr. Li, please calm down..."

Li Dayong shoved the driver's arm away, angrily spinning around in circles, his feet crunching loudly on the hard snow beneath him.

"I've seen all sorts of scum, but I've never seen anyone as disgusting as this!"

"They act like the whole world should eat two-yuan buns with them! Fine, they won't buy them, but they block the entrance and won't let anyone who wants to eat in. What utter garbage!"

Mrs. Zhao, who was standing to the side, was also trembling with anger.

"I've had the worst luck imaginable! I drove out of the villa in the eastern suburbs at 4:30 this morning, and I almost slipped twice on the road, just to have a cup of freshly ground pure soy milk from Boss Lin to warm my stomach, and also to bring two servings of pan-fried buns for my two kids at home for breakfast."

Mrs. Zhao pointed at the young men and women holding selfie sticks ahead, her tone full of disdain and disgust:

"These young people, they're glued to their phones all day watching mindless short videos. They can't even make money themselves, yet they act like they're entitled to be poor!"

"What's with this boycott and moral blackmail that's happening in front of someone's honest business!"

"Do they even know the quality of the soybeans Boss Lin used? Do they know how much effort went into making that pot of minced black mountain pork?! What a bunch of ignorant frogs in a well!"

Chairman Chen stood to the side, looking at the tightly closed wooden door in front of him, and let out a long sigh, his tone revealing a deep sense of helplessness:

"Dayong, Sister Zhao, stop scolding. We regular customers know best what kind of person Boss Lin is."

"He's a true craftsman who can't tolerate the slightest imperfection. Before, Qin Lang wanted to book the entire venue for his New Year's Eve dinner with two million yuan, but he refused without even blinking."

"Today, this group of out-of-town internet celebrities and bandwagoners blocked the entrance, shouting and cursing, and even tried to label the place a 'black shop' with their phones. How could Boss Lin possibly tolerate them?"

Chairman Chen shook his head: "He closed down not because he was afraid of these people, but because he found the crowd of onlookers too noisy and annoying. Boss Lin has locked the door heavily, so there's absolutely no hope for the morning market today."

Behind the group, not only were Li Dayong and his fellow bosses present, but also a dozen or so white-collar workers carrying briefcases, all groaning in despair as they looked at the tightly closed door.

"Oh no... I ate one of the pan-fried buns my colleague brought back yesterday, and I've been craving them all night. I even got up really early this morning and rushed over without having breakfast, but the place is closed!"

"I had to code for four hours straight this morning. I was hoping Boss Lin's cup of soy milk would help me stay awake, but now that's all for nothing!"

"It's all that damn food review streamer's fault! He can't afford it himself, but he's stirring up trouble and making sure no one else gets to eat!"

Just then, several young tourists from out of town who had been crowding in the front row and participating in the commotion started chewing gum and cursing as they walked out of the street.

One of the young men, a blond man in a flashy down jacket, happened to pass by Li Dayong. Hearing Li Dayong's earlier curses, he glanced at him sideways with some resentment.

"Uncle, who are you yelling at? That shop dares to charge 188 yuan for four lousy buns! They're obviously just using a big star's fame to rip off customers!"

"Let's all boycott these shady shops and rid the people of this scourge. What are you doing here, so eagerly defending them? How rich are you?"

Upon hearing this, Li Dayong's already volatile temper completely exploded.

He suddenly took a big step forward, and his dark face, full of fat, was instantly in front of the blond youth.

Li Dayong has spent years working in the mining area, managing thousands of burly men, and exudes a heavy and imposing aura of fierceness.

"How much money do I have?"

"I could easily buy your life!"

Li Dayong poked the blond-haired youth twice hard in the chest of his down jacket, causing the youth to stumble back two steps.

"No one will laugh at you for being poor if you don't have money for food. But if you're broke and still want to act like a big shot, leading a bunch of people to block the gate and making those who can actually afford it and want a hot meal freeze in the cold wind for two hours, what kind of person are you?!"

The blond-haired youth was so frightened by Li Dayong's sudden aura that his face turned pale. His feet slipped on the snow, and he almost swallowed the chewing gum in his mouth.

He looked at the genuine black mink coat on Li Dayong, then at Chairman Chen standing to the side with a cold expression, and at the two large SUVs with consecutive out-of-town license plates parked by the roadside. His lips trembled, but he didn't dare to utter a single word.

Chairman Chen adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses, stepped forward, and looked calmly at the blond-haired youth:

"Young people, don't assume that just because someone else is paying money, they've been scammed. You're here for the online hype, but we're here for the real, authentic skills we're here to earn a living."

"If you haven't eaten their food, don't judge them by your own standards. The road is wide open, just go your own way."

Seeing that things were going badly, the blond-haired youth's companions quickly tugged at his clothes, and the group, with their heads down, scurried away along the sidewalk.

Li Dayong took the hat back from the driver, patted the snow off it, and put it back on his head.

"Damn it, they're all a bunch of idiots who've been incited by a few slogans online." Li Dayong spat.

Chairman Chen zipped up his coat and sighed, "Let's go. There's a high chance that Boss Lin won't be opening today. Let's go back, have some hot tea, and see what happens at the morning market tomorrow."

Mrs. Zhao stomped her foot, opened the car door, and sat in the back seat: "If these people block the door again tomorrow, I'll call our company's security team to maintain order. I've really had enough."

Several luxury cars started their engines, their taillights lighting up in the dim morning light, and slowly drove away from Golden Street.
