Courtyard House: My Time Travel is a Bit Too Strong

Chapter 692 One palm strike sends Tang Zichen flying

Tang Zichen stopped her stance and looked up at him: "You also love martial arts?"

"Mm." Lin Quan nodded.

"Judging from your movements, you've practiced before."

"I have a basic understanding of a few things." He smiled.

"Want to lend a hand?"

"it is good."

"What are you practicing?"

"I've tried Baguazhang, Xingyi, Taiji, Wing Chun, Bajiquan, Angquan, Yijin, Duan Gu, Xisui, Babao Hard Kung Fu... I've also tried them all."

Tang Zichen raised an eyebrow slightly: "You've really practiced all of that?"

Lin Quan begins his Tai Chi stance.

She could tell at a glance that it wasn't just for show... The structure was loose yet grounded, seemingly still yet possessing hidden power.

She stopped probing and took a step closer, her fist aimed straight for the center line.

"You have a solid foundation in martial arts." Lin Quan stepped aside to let her pass, and before he finished speaking, he had already deflected her powerful punch into empty space.

Tang Zichen launched seven consecutive attacks, all of which were neutralized. She slipped and took half a step back: "Who are you? I've never heard of this person."

"Lin Quan. No reputation."

"I need to get serious," she reminded him.

"You're quite strong, but unfortunately your strength hasn't penetrated to the bone yet," Lin Quan said calmly.

She stopped, her breathing slightly heavier: "Which floor are you on?"

"罡劲" (Gāngjìn).

"impossible."

"If I master Ming Jin (a type of internal strength), I can travel the world with ease."

"Your body...is it really that strong?"

"Spending too much time in the mountains, living on wind and dew, changes your body and bones."

"Why did you suddenly come down the mountain?"

"I'm stuck at the border, and my money's all gone. I need to find a job."

Tang Zichen extended her hand, her smile open and honest: "Mr. Lin, this is Tang Zichen."

Lin Quan grasped his hand; his palm was warm, and his knuckles were strong. "Nice to meet you."

What kind of job are you looking for?

"A quick way to make money."

"Salary expectations?"

"One million, settled monthly."

She hesitated for a moment, then said, "How about this... you teach me kung fu, two million, payable monthly."

"What do you want to learn?"

"What can you teach?" she countered.

Lin Quan didn't answer. He walked closer to a sycamore tree as thick as a bowl, wrapped his arms around it, and with a slight slumber, the trunk swayed gently, and the roots, along with the soil, were lifted an inch off the ground. Then, he pressed his palm against the trunk and slowly lowered it, and the tree returned to its original position, with the soil filling in the gaps. Finally, he stomped his foot three times, and the loose soil that had been stirred up was smoothed out as if by an invisible hand.

Tang Zichen stared at the tree, her throat bobbing slightly.

"Can you teach me the Dragon Elephant Prajna Skill?" she asked bluntly.

"Can."

"Can we start today?"

"OK."

"Please get in the car." She turned and walked towards the silver-gray sports car.

Lin Quan got into the passenger seat, and the car drove out of the park and into a lakeside residential area.

"The house is nice, it has its own yard, why bother practicing in the park?"

"If I hadn't gone, how would I have run into you?" she laughed.

Lin Quan looked at the buildings in front of him and said, "Let's practice the Yi Jin Jing, Duan Gu Jing, and Xi Sui Jing first... We can talk about the rest after our muscles and bones are strong."

"Those three scriptures from Shaolin Temple... Yi Jin, Duan Gu, and Xi Sui?" Tang Zichen asked.

"It was passed down by the Taoist Zi Ning of Tiantai Mountain," Lin Quan replied.

"If Mr. Lin is willing to teach, I am willing to learn."

"Let's start with the Yi Jin Jing."

"Thank you, Mr. Lin." She smiled, her lips curving upwards to reveal her neat teeth.

Tang Zichen has a solid foundation in traditional Chinese martial arts, with clear meridians and steady breathing. In less than thirty minutes, he was able to perform the first set of movements smoothly, without any stagnation in his breath, and with a slight throbbing in his fascia.

"Half a month later, we'll begin the Bone Forging Sutra," Lin Quan said.

Tang Zichen paused, her fingertips unconsciously twisting the hem of her clothes: "If Mr. Lin doesn't mind, please stay at my house."

"Then I'll have to trouble you, Mr. Tang."

"Stop calling me Boss Tang or Mr. Lin all the time." Her tone became lighter. "Just call me Zichen, and I'll call you Brother Quan, okay?"

"Okay." He nodded, stepped back into the shade of a tree, lit a cigarette, and quietly watched her practice over and over again.

After she finished practicing her tricycle, she turned around and gestured to the servants. Lunch was quickly served.

She had just come out of the shower and changed into a dark gray tracksuit; her hair was still dripping wet.

After the meal, Lin Quan leaned back in his rattan chair and suddenly said, "Zi Chen, there is a skill that specializes in cultivating the spirit."

Which one?

"Supreme Yoga Practice".

"Does Brother Quan even have connections in India?"

"A basic understanding." He flicked his cigarette ash. "If you want to learn, I can teach you right now."

"Thank you, Brother Quan." She immediately replied, her eyes lighting up.

He stood up and demonstrated, his movements slow yet rhythmic. She followed along, her shoulders and neck relaxing, her spine extending segment by segment. He stood half a step behind her, occasionally reaching out to adjust the angle of her elbows or tailbone.

Her waistline was sculpted neatly, and her back muscles, when tense, resembled a fully drawn bow. He withdrew his hand, not giving her a second glance.

Half a month has passed.

During the day, Lin Quan would instruct Tang Zichen in the open spaces of the residential area and the shaded areas of the park, while at night he would retreat to the main universe, the Iron Man world, or the Mr. Zombie world to handle affairs. He worked on three fronts simultaneously without any delay.

That morning, Tang Zichen was driving stakes into the lake as usual. Wang Chao, carrying his schoolbag, passed by and, after watching for three days, finally approached her: "Sis, what are you practicing?"

"Traditional Chinese martial arts".

What is Chinese martial arts?

"No frills, no posturing, just fighting the enemy, just trying to survive."

"Can you teach me?" He looked up at her, his eyes fixed on her.

She turned to the side and pointed at Lin Quan, who was not far away: "Ask him."

Wang Chao immediately turned around: "Big brother, can I learn traditional Chinese martial arts?"

"What do you want to learn?" Lin Quan asked.

What skills do you have?

"I can probably provide anything you can think of."

"Flying and disappearing into the earth?" the boy asked, his neck stiff.

Tang Zichen, in her early twenties, stood to the side, while Lin Quan, twenty-seven, with a cigarette in his mouth, remained silent.

"What do you think?" he countered.

"Just do what she just practiced!"

"First, practice the Hunyuan stance. If you can hold it steady for thirty minutes within a month, without your breath becoming shallow or your knees shaking, then we can talk about other things." After saying that, he explained the stance, center of gravity, and breathing techniques clearly.

"I combined the styles of several traditional schools and added some of my own elements."

Wang Chao's legs began to tremble and sweat beaded on his forehead before he could even last three minutes.

"If you want to move forward, first make sure this foundation is solid." Lin Quan patted him on the shoulder, then turned and left.

Tang Zichen followed, when she suddenly heard Lin Quan whisper, "Three strangers have come to the house."

"Who?" She paused in her steps.

"garage."

The two drove inside, the headlights sweeping through the shadows, and Tang Zichen immediately called out, "Come out."

The young man in the black trench coat leaned against the SUV and laughed: "I never expected that an instructor trained by the combined efforts of Blackman 8, Rattlesnake, Scorpion, BBN, and Hualong..."

Gunshots rang out.

The bullet hurtled through the air.

Lin Quan pinched the metal between two fingers of his right hand, producing a faint metallic sound, and then flicked it with his fingers.

The warhead flew backwards and struck the young man's left knee.

Tang Zichen's pupils contracted: "Brother Quan?!"

"I'm fine." He waved his hand at her. "He's just starting to hurt."

A scream followed. John fell to his knees, and Yang Yingming and the other man instinctively took a half step back.

Lin Quan stepped forward, striking with a palm from each side. Before the palms even touched their bodies, the knees and wrists of the three men simultaneously emitted muffled cracks... Their bones weren't broken, but their tendons and joint cavities had been shattered by the hidden force.

"Leave the rest to me," Tang Zichen said.

"Okay," he replied, pushing open the door and leaving the garage.
