Courtyard House: My Time Travel is a Bit Too Strong

He plans to sell the distribution rights outside of China first.

I stood downstairs at GY Company, carrying only a portable speaker.

Halfway through the second replay of the three songs, two people rushed out from the front desk and led him straight to the conference room.

South Korea is a small country with a dense population, and its per capita income is significantly higher than that of China.

After three rounds of negotiations, the overseas copyright was finalized... for 60 million Chinese dollars.

"It didn't take much effort; I got sixty blind boxes."

On the way back, he transferred 100,000 yuan to each of the six girls.

Unlike exploitative brokerage firms in South Korea, they don't withhold deposits, lock bank cards, or impose harsh penalties for breach of contract.

Park Hye-yeon took the money, leaned closer, and slapped a mark on his left cheek.

The remaining five people did not hesitate and stepped forward one by one, printing their names neatly and efficiently.

"Thank you, Uncle." Park Hye-yeon said.

"In a little while, your faces will be everywhere in Huangzhou," Lin Quan said calmly, as if he were talking about the weather.

The contract is for ten years, in black and white. Switch jobs? Sure. The penalty for breach of contract is 500 million each, 3 billion for all six... The money lying in his account is enough to launch three or four new groups.

The three songs by the Rose Duo released on Feiteng initially received only a few payments, barely making a splash.

Unknown new groups are suppressed by the platform's algorithm and squeezed together with a bunch of low-quality pop songs.

Lin Quan didn't urge him. He knew that the wind would blow over in fifteen days at most.

His agreement with GY was more than just a copyright sale.

Once the other party obtains the overseas distribution rights, they must simultaneously promote the song when it is released... main visual, chart rankings, subway ads, KTV top placement, none of these can be omitted.

On the seventh day, these three songs were playing everywhere in the streets and alleys of South Korea.

Convenience stores play it, taxis play it, and even the subway announces a chorus.

Some people searched for "Rose Duo" out of curiosity, and once they started watching the video, they couldn't stop.

China quickly followed suit. Many young people who regularly follow South Korean content spontaneously shared it, and the comment section became lively.

"Can't understand Korean? That means you haven't watched the original version with subtitles."

"I don't care what it sings, I've listened to that backward-stepping forward movement a hundred times."

"Walking forward, but your feet are pulling back... Who designed this?"

"Six people, all with different heights, weights, and face shapes, but they look good together."

"South Korea's cosmetic surgery production line is impressive, but these six people, according to official information, 'did not receive any cosmetic intervention.'"

"Eighteen years old, all-natural, no work done on my face, no straightening of my teeth, even my double eyelids are natural."

"Wait... are there really 18-year-old amateurs in South Korea who weren't signed by conglomerates?"

"The Rose Duo, renowned under its banner."

"Which one is famous? The one in South Korea?"

"Huaguo Mingyang Film and Television Entertainment Company produced 'Jianghu Night Rain' and 'Qingci' in its early years, but later ceased operations."

"They're taking a break? Then who's in charge of this group now?"

Lin Quan stared at the real-time sales notification that popped up on his phone, and the corners of his mouth twitched slightly.

All three songs have surpassed 10 million paid views.

Total sales amounted to over 63 million, with Mingyang receiving 37.8 million and another 10% allocated to the group, leaving a net profit of just over 34 million.

With the South Korean wave currently in full swing, Chinese television stations are snapping up dramas and remaking variety shows one after another.

He plans to take advantage of this momentum to make more trips and sign more deals... He wants to use the blind box money to open as many boxes as possible while it's still hot.

"There's still 7.5 million left in the account, and last month's royalties brought in about 400,000..."

Buying blind boxes is a casual thing, donating money is a side thing, he does both at the same time, he never picks and chooses.

"A USB drive containing the movie 'A World Without Thieves'? It'll turn into a fortune."

"A collection of Wolf Warrior movies 1-3? Useful."

"Raise Your Hands? It's an old film by Pan Ga. If it's released now, it'll most likely be considered an obscure gem, and a million dollars will be wasted."

……

"A complete tutorial on acupuncture and massage? That's a steal, even a billion dollars would be too cheap."

After calming down, he went to the dance studio and led Park Hye-min and the others in practicing the moves.

The next morning, he took out three new songs and taught them to sing them line by line.

The South Korean market is hot right now. If we don't release more songs now, it will be difficult to recoup our costs once the hype dies down.

Relations between China and South Korea are currently stable, but who can say for sure what will happen in the future?

If policies tighten one day, platforms remove the app, or copyrights are restricted, the newly formed rose duo will immediately suffer more than half its losses.

He left the company at four o'clock in the afternoon, and Lin Jiancheng was waiting for him at the door.

"Ah Quan, the Rose Duo is really popular lately, how much have they made?"

"Three songs, overseas copyright revenue," Lin Quan answered readily.

"The bank still owes you hundreds of millions, and you've donated another fifty million?" Hu Xin frowned slightly.

"Mom, that Taoist priest said last time that when donations go into the account, blessings will follow." Lin Quan's tone was flat, as if he were reporting the weather.

"Even if you want to donate, you should pay off your debts first."

"Okay, I'll donate after I pay off the loan." He nodded without arguing.

After taking a shower and returning to his room after dinner, he sat in front of the computer and typed for more than three hours.

The complete manuscript of "Swallowing the Starry Sky" has been submitted. Xinghai is updating on schedule, and no further intervention is needed.

The alarm clock rang, I got up to have breakfast with my parents, and then headed to the company.

In the past two weeks, Park Hye-yeon, Park Hye-min, and Kim Hye-soo's attitudes toward Lin Quan have changed... It's not just politeness or perfunctory behavior, but a habit of watching his expression, following his arrangements, and turning to him as their first reaction when something happens.

Once unknown, now his name is known throughout Huangzhou.

The Roses group, which was formed less than half a year ago, has gained a foothold in China and is almost a household name in South Korea.

"Look here, keep this pace."

"You're a half-beat off, let's do it in unison again."

He taught Mandarin pronunciation while adjusting dance formations, and half a day passed in the blink of an eye.

We ate lunch together, and afterwards went straight into the recording studio to sing the new song.

Time flies so fast it leaves no trace; half a month has passed in the blink of an eye.

The three songs broke sales records in South Korea and also remained in the top ten on the Chinese charts.

South Korea has a high per capita income, but its population is only over 50 million; China has nearly 1.5 billion people, and even if the per capita consumption is low, the total population cannot be contained.

At 10 a.m. that day, Feiteng Music transferred last month's revenue share to Mingyang Film and Entertainment Company's account.

"Over 53 million." Lin Quan glanced at the text message. "For a net share of 60% to reach this amount, it's more impressive than I expected."

Upon receiving the order, Xinghai immediately divided the members and transferred them out.

A little over an hour later, South Korean GY Company received another 21 million.

The first three tracks were exclusively distributed by Phytium in China and exclusively distributed by GY in South Korea.

"Oppa, thank you!" Park Hye-yeon smiled and leaned in, pressing her forehead against his cheek.

Park Hye-min, Park Hye-ri, and Kim Hye-soo followed one after another.

"I'll treat you to a meal online." Lin Quan smiled.

"Thank you, Oppa!" the six of them responded in unison, their eyes lighting up.

After recording, the audio was simultaneously uploaded to GY and Phytium platforms.

Lin Quan had Xinghai post a short notification on the Rose Duo's official WeChat account: New song released.

The comments section quickly became lively:

"Our South Korean dance moves are number one in the world."

"Who, besides South Korea, dares to challenge the Roses' moonwalk?"

"Tch, the choreography and music composition are all done by the famous little boss, Lin Quan."

"Lin Quan's ancestors were from South Korea."

"The Lin family has lived in China for generations, and their family genealogy is clearly documented."

At four o'clock in the afternoon, Lin Quan took Park Hye-yeon and the others downstairs to buy groceries.

The six people divided the work: some washed, some chopped, and some stir-fried. In just over an hour, they prepared twelve dishes.

"Oppa, I toast you." Kim Hye-soo raised her glass.

"If I didn't dance and sing as well as you guys, I wouldn't earn this much." Lin Quan tilted his head back and drank.
