Chapter 4 Kakarot, Timeline

Upon hearing Gine's question, Talot suddenly realized that he had overreacted.

He quickly waved his hand and composed himself, saying, "It's nothing, I was just surprised to hear that Uncle Bardock is coming back so soon. I thought it would be several more days."

"Oh, is that so? I thought you were thinking about something strange again." Hime said, pretending not to care.

Talot is special, a fact that was evident from a young age and was discovered by her.

Generally speaking, Saiyans who meet the required combat power, especially those who are high-ranking warriors, will always strive to climb higher.

For example, her eldest son, Raditz, has always tried his best to show off since he was a child, so much so that now that he has become the prince's follower, he rarely comes back two or three times a month.

Talot is more mature and has a higher IQ than his peers.

On this point alone, Gine always compares Talot to other children. Despite all of them having received guidance in the genetic memory inheritance technology, the difference is so great.

There are some low-key kids like Tarot among the lower-class warriors, but they aren't that smart. Besides, Tarot is an upper-class warrior, a pure combat-type Saiyan.

"Aunt Gine, you go ahead with your work. I'll go check on Kakarot in his room."

Fearing that continuing to chat with Gine would cause his emotional fluctuations to reveal his true feelings, Talot quickly made up an excuse.

Seeing Gine nod, Talot quickly went into the inner room.

As Talot disappeared from sight, a look of confusion flashed in Gine's eyes.

For some reason, although Talot didn't act in anything particularly strange, she felt that Talot was acting a bit odd today.

"Maybe I'm overthinking it, or maybe this child is really growing up," Gine said, then continued with her work.

……

We entered the inner room.

Talot immediately spotted the incubation chamber in the corner of the room.

The child in the incubation chamber looked quite grown up. Even though his combat strength at birth was only 2 points, his physique was far superior to that of children of ordinary human races.

"We meet again, Kakarot. It's a pity you're still sleeping." Muttering to himself, Tarot stepped forward for a closer look.

Every time I come here, I am filled with emotion.

There's nothing we can do about it; this guy is so special, he's the protagonist of the original story!

Reborn into the world of Dragon Ball.

If I weren't a time traveler, I truly couldn't imagine that a six-month-old baby, the lowest-ranking warrior of his race, would not only recreate the legend of the Super Saiyan but also rise to become one of the most powerful warriors in the universe.

Memories flooded back, especially that line that I can never forget: "The moment Goku transformed into a Super Saiyan, all the anime in the world paled in comparison."

In his past life, it was an anime, but now it's reality for Talot.

Despite his感慨 (feelings of deep emotion), after a long while, Talot pulled out the combat power detector again.

Although Tarot already knew Kakarot's combat power and had previously used the old detector to measure it, he still activated the new combat power detector to measure Kakarot's combat power.

"Beep beep beep... beep beep beep..."

Combat Power Index: 2 points

As before, nothing has changed; it still only has 2 points of combat power.

The difference is that the detector also displays the danger level and some basic information.

Of course, none of this data is actually important.

In a while, you will be sent to Earth to begin your life's journey.

Talot didn't say it aloud, but thought about it to himself.

Actually, he didn't need to think too much about Kakarot, because he already knew how the story would unfold.

As long as he doesn't intervene or take action, nothing will change.

His future is one of happiness.

At least they can grow up carefree, and because of their special nature, they will gradually make friends with a large group of people, then search for the Dragon Balls, constantly learn from masters, and keep growing...

Compared to Raditz, Vegeta, Nappa, and others who survived Frieza's tyranny in later generations, as well as Tarble, Broly, and Paragus who were stranded on other planets... without a doubt, he lived the most comfortable life.

"Sometimes, I really envy you, and even want to take your place. But as the days go by, I've started to have my own ideas." Tarot said to Kakarot in the incubation chamber, not caring whether he could hear her or understand her.

After saying this, Talot turned and walked out of the house without any hesitation.

Whether it was the sound of his voice that startled him, or the loud noise of him walking and closing the door, Kakarot's tightly closed eyes inside the incubation chamber twitched slightly.

……

Once outside, Talot didn't leave immediately. Instead, he chatted with Gine for a few more minutes before saying goodbye and returning home.

The two houses are adjacent. Talot's house is not big, but it has everything you need.

For him, it was just right.

Living alone doesn't require much space; as long as you don't lack anything, that's enough.

"That instinctive fear has finally completely disappeared, which means that those two beings should have already left Planet Vegeta." Tarot breathed a sigh of relief before refocusing his attention.

Right now, he doesn't have the capacity to think about gods of destruction or angels.

"Once Bardock returns, I'll be able to be 100% certain about how far the story has progressed."

Leaning against the bed, Talot fell into thought again.

In fact, Talot could only deduce the plot based on what he knew.

For example, as a time traveler, he knew that during this period alone, there were actually multiple different timelines developing.

Upon closer analysis, it can also be considered as two timelines.

The first one is the earliest Dragon Ball Z timeline, where Bardock is on a mission to invade Planet Kanasa. During the invasion, he is ambushed by the Kanasa aliens and briefly gains the ability to foresee the future. Because of this ability, he gradually leads Frieza to fight the Saiyans and destroy Planet Vegeta.

The second one is the negative timeline of Dragon Ball, which was set up later. However, this time change is more like a different story that takes place in another parallel universe. The plot becomes Bardock and other Saiyans invading Planet Cyril. Through this mission, they learn that Frieza is going to deal with the Saiyans, so they send Kakarot away first, and the plot unfolds from there.

In fact, Tarot is now quite certain that the world he lives in is roughly the same timeline as the original Dragon Ball Z.

Because Kakarot was only six months old, while Vegeta, Raditz, and he were all five years old, and the current time was Age 737.

In the timeline of Dragon Ball, Goku was already three years old in Age 737, and he was also three years old when he arrived on Earth. This does not include the time it took for the spaceship to travel from Planet Vegeta to Earth.
