Journey to the West: Upon seeing the Yellow-Eyebrowed Demon, why not pay homage?

Chapter 8: Meeting the Great Sage at the Foot of the Five Elements Mountain!

Not long after.

Huang Mei, accompanied by the "refreshed" Bai Susu, set off from Chang'an and headed west, only to find that there was no Shuangcha Ridge, no Liangjie Mountain, and certainly no Wuxing Mountain along the way.

After all, Sun Wukong hasn't even wreaked havoc in the Heavenly Palace yet.

Continuing westward, Snake Coil Mountain is no longer called Snake Coil Mountain, but Low Peak. Entering the Western Fanha Secret Kingdom, there is no Guanyin Temple, no Black Wind Mountain, and the situation in Gao Laozhuang is the same as that in Wuxing Mountain.

After crossing the border of Tibet, we arrived at Xiniuhezhou. There was no Zen Master Wuchao, no Yellow Wind Monster, and not a single terrifying demon in the Liusha River...

Finally, Bai Susu, wearing a blue silk dress, stood in front of the Liusha River, and Huang Mei couldn't help but sigh softly.

"Why does Your Majesty sigh?" Bai Susu asked, glancing sideways.

Huang Mei said, "As you've seen, we haven't encountered any decent monsters along the way. We came here to subdue demons, but there are none to subdue. How can we not sigh?"

Bai Susu comforted her, "Let's continue westward. There must be many demons in Xiniu Hezhou."

After pondering for a moment, Huang Mei shook his head and said, "Let's stop looking and go back to the mountain."

Anyone who has read the original Journey to the West knows that Xiniu Hezhou is the Buddha's headquarters.

Even in the eighth chapter, when the Buddha commented on the four continents, he said: "In my Western Continent of Aparagodaniya, people are neither greedy nor murderous, they cultivate their vital energy and nurture their spirits. Although there are no supreme immortals, everyone enjoys a long life."

This is not saying that he belongs to Xiniu Hezhou, but that Xiniu Hezhou belongs to Buddhism.

Currently, the Journey to the West plan is still in the planning stages, and preparations are underway throughout Xiniu Hezhou for Sanzang's westward journey.

It's fine for me to operate in Baihu Ridge, the edge of Xiniu Hezhou, but if I go deep into the central part of Xiniu Hezhou, I might become a thorn in the side of the Modern Buddha lineage.

Given this premise, the best course of action would undoubtedly be to wait until the Journey to the West officially begins, when the secrets of heaven are in chaos and cannot be predicted, so that one can take advantage of the confusion...

Countdown: Over 600 years!

half an hour.

The master and servant flew back to Little Western Heaven. Huang Mei summoned the Demon King of Chaos and several of the little monsters he had taken in, and publicly announced that the Demon King of Chaos was appointed as a general of the mountain, in charge of recruiting and training soldiers, thus setting the tone for future development.

Subsequently, at Bai Susu's insistence, he was appointed as the Chief Steward of the Imperial Household Department, in charge of the allocation of money and grain in the mountains, as well as all other miscellaneous matters.

Actually, Bai Susu's request wasn't really about vying for power.

Her main purpose was to put her previous idea into practice and manage the king's accounts.

Otherwise, given the king's "generous" personality, no amount of money would be enough for him to squander...

As for Huang Mei himself, he focused on cultivation and intelligence gathering, keeping a close eye on the dynamics of the Three Realms, especially the situation at Flower Fruit Mountain.

Time flies, and as the years pass, Xiaoxitian gradually grows stronger and more powerful, and he has heard many stories.

He heard that Sun Wukong had been invited to Heaven to serve as the Keeper of the Heavenly Horses; he heard that Sun Wukong rebelled against Heaven because the position of Keeper of the Heavenly Horses was considered insignificant; he heard that Sun Wukong proclaimed himself the Great Sage Equal to Heaven and enjoyed immense prestige for a time…

At the height of the other party's glory and triumph, he did not appear as the benefactor of the monkey clan. He simply watched and waited silently for the Monkey King to build a grand mansion and entertain guests, until the tree fell and the monkeys scattered.

More than a century has passed in the blink of an eye.

He then heard that Sun Wukong stole peaches while managing the peach orchard, sneaked into the Jade Pool to steal wine, stole elixirs, rebelled against the Heavenly Palace, fought Erlang Shen, was captured but could not be harmed by axes or swords, and was refined into gold essence in the Eight Trigrams Furnace.

Until it collided with the Buddha's hand, accompanied by a deafening roar, the Heavenly Palace lost a troublemaker, and the mortal world gained a Five Elements Mountain...

This is the end.

Huang Mei finally set off with Bai Susu once again, speeding all the way to the sky above the Five Elements Mountain, where they saw five Jiedi, dressed in golden Buddhist robes and with their chests exposed, sitting cross-legged on the mountaintop, clearly guarding the place.

Huang Mei slowly narrowed his eyes, carrying Bai Susu as they descended to the mountain peak. He clasped his hands together and said:

"Huang Mei, a disciple of the Buddha of the East, pays respects to his five senior brothers."

He knew that the Golden-Headed Jiedi, Silver-Headed Jiedi, Para-Jiedi, Para-Sengjiedi, and Maha-Jiedi were the five powerful guardian deities of Buddhism, but they were not known for their combat prowess. Their main tasks were to monitor, provide early warnings, and communicate with the Heavenly Court...

The five guardian deities simultaneously opened their eyes, and the golden-headed guardian deity among them asked with a smile, "What is it?"

They had heard about Huang Mei's defection, but this was an internal matter of the Future Buddhist Academy and had nothing to do with them, Jiedi.

Moreover, Huang Mei's defection occurred at a crucial juncture in the Journey to the West, making it hard not to suspect that it was orchestrated by the Buddha of the East.

Outsiders may not know, but how could they not know?

Any force or individual participating in the westward journey can receive merit from Heaven. Of course, the prerequisite is survival...

"I came to visit Sun Wukong, and I just happened to see my fellow disciples guarding this place. How could I not come and say hello?" Huang Mei said politely.

The Golden-Headed Jiedi's smile widened, and he waved his hand, saying, "Go."

If the other party is willing to respect them, then he doesn't mind allowing some things that can be allowed.

In other words, if this person ignores him and goes down the mountain to find the monkey, he will have to be dutiful and drive it away.

"Thank you, Lord Jiedi."

Huang Mei silently lowered his arm, turned around and led Bai Susu down the mountain.

Watching the two figures disappear into the distance, the Silver-Headed Jiedi couldn't help but ask curiously, "Has anyone heard that Yellow-Eyebrows and Sun Wukong are friends?"

The other officials shook their heads, and some even looked at each other blankly...

at the foot of the mountain.

A monkey's lower body was trapped inside the sacred mountain, while its upper body was exposed outside.

Exposed to wind, sun, rain, and frost, even the once unruly Monkey King looked disheveled and in a sorry state.

At this time.

The Great Sage, who had been dozing with his eyes closed, suddenly opened his eyes upon hearing the noise. He saw a man and a woman slowly approaching and coming right up to him.

Who are you?

"My name is Huang Mei, and she is my maid, Su Su."

"Yellow Eyebrows?" Sun Wukong's expression froze slightly as a long-forgotten memory flashed back into his mind.

"It seems you remember me," Huang Mei said with a smile.

Sun Wukong's expression immediately became complicated, and he sighed, "If you had come to find me years ago, I might have been able to repay you, but now, I can barely protect myself..."

Huang Mei waved his hand and said, "Stop. I never expected you to repay me in any way."

Sun Wukong pursed his lips, then asked, "How did you get here?"

Huang Mei responded, "I came here specifically to find you. I heard you were trapped here, so I came to see if there's anything I can do to help."

Sun Wukong was bewildered: "Why are you showing me kindness?"

"It's not about bestowing favors, it's about making friends."

Huang Mei looked sincere: "I really admire your resistance to authority and constraints, and I appreciate your deeply ingrained spirit of speaking out against injustice; this spirit of 'not bowing to authority and not compromising with injustice' resonates with me on a spiritual level."

A blazing light suddenly flashed in Sun Wukong's eyes, his mind racing with excitement: "You know! You actually know!!!"

Huang Mei nodded: "You're a hero."

Two clear tears suddenly streamed from Sun Wukong's reddened eyes, leaving two tear streaks on his filthy face:

"Hahaha, hahahaha, why didn't you come sooner? If you had come a few years earlier, I, Old Sun, would have drunk three hundred cups with you until we were completely drunk."

With a flick of his sleeve, Huang Mei summoned a table, which he placed neatly in front of Sun Wukong. He then took out jars of wine hidden in his sleeve and smiled, saying:

"It's not too late now, Susu, pour wine for me and the Great Sage..."
