Journey to the West: Upon seeing the Yellow-Eyebrowed Demon, why not pay homage?

Chapter 80: Degradation of the Book, Banishment! [Please continue reading~]

Seeing the man's terrified face, Sanzang couldn't bear it. He bent down to help him up and said solemnly:

"Don't be afraid, rest assured, with this humble monk here, I will never let anyone harm you."

Zhi Feng said sharply, "Tang Sanzang, what do you mean by that?"

"So, you mean you're going to try the same old tricks again? How did this man's wife die? Do I have to repeat it again?" Pigsy questioned.

Zhifeng: "..."

After Bajie said that, Sanzang also remembered the cause of the young woman's death. He glanced at Zhifeng and the Dragon Girl and sighed, "You two are indeed... in cahoots."

He wanted to say they were birds of a feather, but considering Sudhana's identity as a dragon girl, he ultimately didn't say it so bluntly.

Sudhana forced a smile, raised her hand, took out a willow branch, and held it tightly in her palm:

"We are a group of people, but we are also genuinely protecting you on your journey west."

Please, holy monk, for the sake of the Bodhisattva, let us try one more time.

I guarantee there won't be any more accidents this time.

Even if it turns out that Zhifeng was wrong in the end, it won't cost this man his life.

Sanzang shook his head: "I shouldn't have let you do that last time, and I definitely shouldn't this time."

"Dragon Girl, out of respect for your position as Right Attendant, I don't want to say anything unpleasant. You should take this Zhifeng and leave immediately."

Sudhana Dragon Girl's heart skipped a beat: "I'm leaving too?"

"We're leaving!"

Tripitaka nodded deeply: "Or rather, you shouldn't have joined in the first place; go, and I will bear all the consequences."

Sudhana was too shy to pursue him relentlessly, leaving her in a dilemma, flustered and unsure of what to do.

Zhifeng took a deep breath and questioned Sanzang:

How will you take responsibility? Can you afford to take responsibility?

Do you think the pilgrimage is your own business? Do you think it has nothing to do with others?

Let me tell you, you are just a pilgrim. This pilgrim could be the Tripitaka Master or the Sixth Tripitaka Master. Guanyin Bodhisattva is the grand manager of the journey to the West.

Now that the westward journey has been promoted to this point, it is no longer just your business, but a matter for the entire Buddhist community.

"Tripitaka, as a disciple of Buddhism, you should consider the bigger picture."

Hearing his accusations and threats, Sanzang's chest heaved with anger. Suddenly, he ordered Sha Wujing to take out paper and pen from his bundle, grind ink on a stone, and quickly write a letter of dismissal, which he then handed forward.

"This is a letter of criticism, but it also clearly reveals my intentions."

After I expel you, I will bear all the consequences, whether good or bad!

With this letter of criticism, you can explain to the Bodhisattva that you need not worry about the Bodhisattva's wrath.

Zhifeng: "..."

Seeing that the two refused to accept the letter, Sanzang's anger intensified. He threw the letter of dismissal on the ground and coldly shouted, "Wukong, go and send this benefactor home; Wuneng and Wujing, come with your master on the journey."

Sun Wukong pursed his lips, then strode up to the man: "Let's go..."

"Oh, right."

After mounting his horse, Tang Sanzang remembered something and said to Zhu Bajie, "Wuneng, keep an eye on these two Buddhist monks and make sure they don't follow us in secret anymore."

Pigsy cupped his hands and said, "Yes, Master!"

Seeing him go to extremes and hearing him speak such harsh words, Zhifeng trembled with rage and cursed:

"Tang Sanzang, just you wait, you're bound to suffer disaster if we go."

"Don't worry about it," Sanzang said coldly.

What does it mean to be fearless because of one's own power?

If he were all alone, he might have to compromise to complete this 108,000-mile journey.

But he already has three incredibly powerful disciples and a reinforcement that could appear at any time, so he doesn't need these two protectors!

That's what you call being fearless because you have something to rely on!

Zhi Feng sighed deeply, exchanged a glance with the Dragon Girl, and had no choice but to leave together, their backs looking desolate and lonely.

Nothing is more painful than being betrayed by someone you love wholeheartedly.

That's exactly right now!

In the blink of an eye.

Sun Wukong led the man away from the crowd, smiling as he said, "Where do you live? I'll take you there."

Just from the tone of his voice and the kind smile on his face, Bai Susu, playing the role of the pitiful husband, already knew that he saw right through her and replied with a smile, "No need, I can walk by myself."

"Alright, you can go now." Sun Wukong waved his hand.

Bai Susu nodded and immediately disappeared underground.

Sun Wukong thought it would be too fake for him to go back now, after all, it had only been a short while.

So he simply found a tree, lay down, and counted the time, his thoughts drifting away.

Once things quieted down and there was no one else around, I started to feel homesick...

White Tiger Ridge.

On the mountain road.

Tripitaka rode a horse, and Sandy carried a load on his shoulders. The master and his disciples continued their ascent upwards, when they unexpectedly came across a cluster of light.

"Wujing, what kind of light is that?"

The monk was the first to spot the light, but his ordinary eyes could not see it clearly, so he asked aloud.

Sha Wujing channeled his immortal energy into his eyes, looked carefully, and exclaimed with delight, "Master, there is an inn!"

Sanzang laughed and said, "That's great! It's been so noisy all night, and it's not comfortable to sleep on the road. Let's go to the inn and ask if we can stay for the night."

Sha Wujing, who was known for his obedience and adaptability, carried his load and followed beside the white horse. They soon arrived at the inn.

Sanzang dismounted, stared intently at the signboard, and burst out laughing after seeing it clearly: "It really is 'Youjia Inn'."

He had thought that when Wujing mentioned an inn, he meant an inn, but he never expected that this place was called that!

"Knock knock knock".

A moment later, Sanzang led his horse to the door and gently knocked.

"Click."

With the sound of footsteps, a pair of delicate hands slowly pulled open the two doors.

The master and disciple looked closely and saw that the other person was dressed in plain clothes, with long hair draped over his shoulders and a round face. He looked kind and gentle at first glance, which made people feel good about him.

"I am Lin Jingjing, the innkeeper. May I ask if you two monks are here for a meal or to stay the night?"

As their eyes met, the woman was the first to bow, displaying a refined and courteous demeanor.

For this reason, Sanzang felt even more favorably disposed towards him, and with his hands clasped together, he said gently:

"Amitabha Buddha, this humble monk is Sanzang, from the Great Tang Dynasty in the East. I am on my way to the Great Thunder Temple in the Western Paradise to worship Buddha and seek scriptures. I am passing through this place and wonder if I may stay for the night."

"He is actually a holy monk from the superior country."

The woman suddenly became serious and stepped aside, saying, "Please come in quickly, please come in quickly. I will arrange vegetarian meals and rooms for you right away."

Not long after.

When Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie arrived together, they found their master and third junior brother sitting in the main room, enjoying a hearty meal, the whole shop filled with the aroma of food.

"Great, great! My senior brother and I are working hard, while you guys are eating here." Pigsy was extremely resentful and shouted as soon as he entered the room.

"We've prepared a meal for you."

Sanzang smiled and shook his head, then called out towards the kitchen, "Manager Lin, my eldest and second apprentices are here. Could you please bring two more sets of bowls and chopsticks?"
