Herman slapped the touchpad in front of him and smashed it to pieces.
The adjutant stood beside him, trembling.
"Sir! The warship is in a faster-than-light warp state, and its internal space is sealed off! Send the heavy armored guards to suppress it!"
Herman turned around and kicked his adjutant in the stomach.
"Suppress my ass!" Herman ripped open his collar, veins throbbing on his forehead. "That's a nineteen-year-old prodigy!"
Hermann stood up and turned around.
"Come with me to the warehouse!"
The two rushed into the elevator.
The ladder doors had just popped open in the lower compartment when it was pitch black outside.
The adjutant quickly turned on the lights.
The beam of light shone on the walls of the passageway.
Hermann took in the sight before him and stumbled.
All the high-grade lighting crystals that were inlaid on both sides of the passageway are gone.
The bare alloy wall was covered with white marks left by crowbars.
Hermann clenched his teeth and charged toward the end of the passage.
The armory's blast door, which was originally half a meter thick, has disappeared.
All that remained on the ground was a severely deformed lump of iron.
Hermann stepped over the metal block and went inside.
The armory was the size of three football fields; you could hear an echo when you spoke.
The heavy mecha display stand was disassembled into scattered parts.
The special sealed cabinet storing antimatter grenades had even had its doors removed.
The deepest part of the warehouse.
Lin Feng stood on a briefcase with one foot, tossing a high-level energy block in his hand.
Barron shoved the last heavy pulse cannon onto the hovercar.
The munitions inside the carriage had piled up to a height of more than three meters.
"Your Mightiness!"
Hermann strode over, his voice trembling.
"What are you doing?!"
Lin Feng casually tossed the energy block into the combination lock box, kicked the box, and turned to face Herman.
"Let's find some local specialties."
Lin Feng patted the dust off his hands.
"You don't even have anything to entertain guests on this ship. The hibernation pods smell really strange. I wandered down and saw that this door is quite unique; it just pried open."
Herman's cheeks twitched violently.
On this warship, no one but himself could force open the Class C blast door.
He broke it open with a single pry?
"These antimatter grenades and advanced backup energy sources are strategic resources for Imperial warships!"
Herman, suppressing his anger, pointed at the hovercar that was about to collapse.
Barron's hand slipped, and the pulse cannon smashed right next to his feet, making him wince in pain.
Raymond Lam raised his eyebrows.
"Strategic materials?"
"You took the wrong one."
Lin Feng turned to look at Baron.
"discharge."
Baron was stunned: "Big brother, it's all set up."
"discharge."
Lin Feng's tone turned cold. "Let's go back to Blue Star. This Silverfrost Empire is so stingy, they can't even spare a few local specialties. We'll only be humiliated if we go there."
"Open the boat door, I'll jump down and walk back."
Hermann's mind went blank.
Jump down?
The warship is in a wormhole that's traveling faster than light! Even a cosmic-level warship faces a near-certain death!
Even if he miraculously survives, what will he use to exchange for the imperial rewards? What will he use to gain access to the core council chamber?
A future and a pile of weapons are placed on the scales.
Herman rushed forward and pressed his hands firmly against the hovercar.
He forced a stiff smile.
"Sir! This is a misunderstanding! It's absolutely a misunderstanding!"
Lin Feng said coldly, "You call this a misunderstanding? Where's my armory? Wasn't it a gift to me?"
Hermann's heart was bleeding, and he was nodding his head like a pestle being pounded.
"deliver!"
"These are all gifts prepared for you by the Empire! It is an honor for this warship that you have taken a liking to these pieces of junk!"
The adjutant, unable to bear it any longer, muttered under his breath, "Sir, that's enough firepower to equip an entire legion..."
Herman slapped the adjutant on the back of the head, making the adjutant spin halfway around.
"Shut up! Who gave you the right to speak here?!"
Herman looked at Lin Feng again, bending down slightly.
"Please, take as much as you like! If that's not enough, there's another materials warehouse next door; I'll have someone crack the code right away!"
Lin Feng, knowing when to stop, reluctantly nodded.
"Alright, since it's Lord Hermann's kind gesture, I'll accept it."
Lin Feng kicked Baron, "What are you standing there for? This is a reward from the master, hurry up and act like this."
"Don't leave the circuit board on the wall either. It looks pretty new. Take it back and study it."
"Alright! Thank you for the reward, sir!"
Barron pulled out a multi-purpose wrench and lunged at the armory's main control panel.
Divide it in no time.
The metal casing of the main control panel was pried open, and a series of electric sparks burst out.
Herman closed his eyes and forced himself to turn his head away.
Out of sight, out of mind.
Barron half-crawled under the control panel, his hands groping around in the energy circuits.
pat.
A chip the size of a palm landed in his hand.
The surface of the chip is engraved with the twin-star emblem of the Silverfrost Empire, surrounded by densely packed micro-carved spatial patterns.
Barron's hand trembled, and he almost threw the chip away.
He had seen this thing in the underground black market database of space pirates.
The Imperial military's highest-level identification chip! It can ignore the defenses of most military facilities and also comes with its own independent interstellar communication encryption band.
Only inspectors of Herman's rank are issued one of these when carrying out top-secret missions.
Barron glanced nervously outside the door.
Herman is still arguing with Lin Feng.
With a flick of his wrist, he shoved the chip directly into his crotch.
He dusted off his clothes, crawled out from under the control panel, and threw a bunch of messy circuit boards into the hovercar.
"Big brother, it's full!" Baron wiped the sweat from his forehead.
Lin Feng walked over, lifted the several-ton hovercar with one hand, and nodded.
"Lord Herman, thank you for your specialty."
Lin Feng swaggered out.
Hermann followed behind, smiling apologetically.
The three of them had just stepped out of the lower deck passageway.
The entire mothership trembled violently without warning.
A feeling of weightlessness instantly swept through the passageway.
All emergency red lights went off.
"What is it now!" Herman roared furiously at the communicator on his wrist.
The driver's panicked voice came through the communicator.
"Sir! The jump portal has been forcibly cut off!"
Herman frowned.
The faster-than-light jump channel is a one-way closed loop space.
Unless a cosmic-level gravitational catastrophe occurs, or strategic weapons are used, it is absolutely impossible for it to be forcibly cut off.
"Severed? Who did that!" Hermann roared.
"I don't know! The detectors show a large-scale collapse in the space ahead!"
The driver stammered.
"Sir, a group of unidentified creatures are blocking our landing site..."
