As the No. 7 traction base station was blown up, power was restored around the mothership.
On the dashboard, the access control icon turned green.
Hermann lunged at the control panel and shoved the driver aside.
"The power is back!"
"All thrusters ignited, heading towards the capital's premier starport!"
The moment the driver's finger touched the control button, external communication was forcibly reconnected.
"Hermann, stop the ship immediately!"
Claude's face appeared on the main screen.
"You allowed your crew to destroy the capital's defenses, and you still dare to approach the central star ring?"
"If you disarm now and accept the military's investigation, I can still give you a chance to explain."
Herman stared at the screen, panting with anger.
"Explain your ass!"
"My identity verification was clearly successful, yet you're still dragging the mothership to the destruction berth!"
"You brought this on yourself when Base Station 7 exploded!"
Claude patted the armrest.
"How dare you talk to me like that?"
Just as Herman was about to continue his tirade, Lin Feng walked back from the outer airlock.
His right hand was still wrapped with a few strands of purple and white electric arcs.
"Stop talking nonsense."
"Sail over there."
Herman immediately cut off the communication.
"Did you hear that? Maximum speed!"
All six thrusters simultaneously emitted flames.
The mothership accelerated suddenly, its ten layers of battleship armor vibrating violently, colliding with and knocking away hundreds of interceptor drones along the way.
Just as the frigates ahead were about to encircle them, Lin Feng stood by the broken porthole and glanced outside.
Several frigates immediately slowed down.
They saw everything that happened when the No. 7 traction base station was blown up.
Whoever gets close first will have to test Lin Feng's strength with their own ship.
The Defense Forces channel is in complete chaos.
"The target ship is attempting to force its way into the core shipping lane!"
"First line of defense: Reject contact!"
"Third Squadron requests main gun authorization!"
"Unauthorized use of shipborne main guns is prohibited within the Imperial Capital Star Ring!"
"Then how do we stop them?"
No one answered.
The mothership, dragging its broken support cable, headed straight for the First Starport.
As Hermann watched the interceptor ship recede on the radar, the anger in his chest finally subsided a bit.
"That old bastard Claude, doesn't he like to talk about rules?"
"I'll stop the boat right in his face today!"
Barron crawled out of the lower deck.
Where is the First Starport?
Herman pointed ahead.
Inside the central star ring of the capital, a giant silver port area spans hundreds of kilometers.
Thousands of waterways extend outside the port area.
At this time, most public waterways were marked with closure signs.
Only the central VIP lane remained open.
At the end of the channel, several luxury cruise ships were moored side by side.
The ship's hull was covered with golden crystal armor, and the portholes were surrounded by luminous gems.
Barron leaned over the screen.
"Why are there so many jewels plastered on the hull?"
Hermann snorted.
"A toy for the nobility of the capital."
"Today, the First Starport has been cleared out. All ordinary ships have been moved to the outer berths, leaving only the berths for nobles and representatives of wealthy families."
Baron scratched his belly.
"No wonder."
No sooner had he finished speaking than a bright light shone from a golden cruise ship directly ahead of the channel.
A richly dressed young man appeared on the public projection screen.
He was holding a wine glass in his hand, with a dozen or so young men and women standing behind him.
"Who gave you permission to enter the VIP channel, you garbage ship ahead?"
Herman answered the channel with a stern face.
"The Imperial Seventh Border Fleet is patrolling the mothership and carrying out military missions."
The young man glanced at the hull of the mothership and burst out laughing.
The men and women behind him also joined in the commotion.
"Inspecting the mothership?"
"Which junkyard did this ship get towed from?"
"Cannons are still hanging from the stern. Has the Imperial border guards become this poor?"
The young man raised his hand and tapped his wine glass.
"Listen carefully, I am Young Master Vic of the Fernand family."
"The First Starport has been booked by the Imperial nobility today."
"Get out of the channel immediately, or you'll blacken my newly customized cruise ship."
Barron looked down at the rear of the mothership.
Several damaged engines were indeed emitting black smoke.
"Brother, he thinks our boat is dirty."
Lin Feng sat back in his chair and reached out to tap on the dashboard.
"Drive over there."
The driver's shoulder twitched.
"Sir, the cruise ship ahead didn't give way."
"I saw it."
"At the current speed, a head-on collision will occur in thirty seconds."
Lin Feng leaned back in his chair.
"Then let's crash into it."
The driver turned to look at Hermann.
Hermann gritted his teeth and slammed the power overload button.
"Why are you looking at me?"
"Full throttle capability!"
The mothership's speed increased again.
The ten layers of heavy battleship armor were all mounted on the bow, and sparks flew from the welded joints.
On the luxury cruise ship opposite, Vic was still holding a wine glass.
He didn't realize the wrecked ship hadn't slowed down at all until the alarm went off above him.
"Why is it still accelerating?"
The guards nearby rushed toward the control panel.
"Young Master, they're about to crash into us!"
"Get out of the way!"
"The cruise ship berth lock is still active; emergency activation will take at least forty seconds!"
Vic's wine glass fell to the ground.
"They won't dare to hit it!"
"I am a member of the Fernand family!"
The distance between the two sides quickly shortened.
Five kilometers.
One kilometer.
Two hundred meters!
On the mothership's bridge, Hermann gripped the anchor rod tightly.
"Hold on tight!"
Boom!
The mothership's bow rammed into the side of the gold-plated cruise ship.
The luxury cruise ship broke in half.
The first half of the ship was pushed sideways for hundreds of meters by the mothership, while the second half spun and crashed into two noble cruise ships next to it.
Collision alarms sounded in unison.
A group of aristocratic young masters and ladies, dressed in emergency protective suits, were ejected from the breached cabin and drifted around clutching life-saving devices.
Vik was hanging on the emergency tow cable as the mothership swung its fists wildly.
"My ship!"
"Stop them! Blow up that garbage ship!"
The mothership did not stop.
With half of the cruise ship's wreckage atop its bow, the ship continued into the First Starport.
Barron got up from the ground, looked through the porthole at the scattered gems, and beat his chest in heartache.
"What a waste of money!"
"Why are you sticking it so loosely? It'll all fall off if you bump into it!"
Ahead, the guidance screen for VIP berth number one quickly turned red.
[Board space has been reserved]
[Keep away]
Please leave immediately.
Lin Feng raised his hand and tapped the screen.
"Stop there."
The driver was sweating.
"Berth number one is reserved for VIPs; we do not have the authority to dock there."
Herman pulled out his identification badge and slammed it onto the control panel.
"Now we have it!"
The mothership rammed through two rows of ceremonial drones and forcibly entered the berth.
Before the robotic arm could retract, it was completely severed by the ten layers of external armor.
boom!
The heavy ship hull crashed onto the alloy helipad.
The tarmac collapsed several meters down, and three nearby VIP jet bridges were derailed.
The mothership glided for nearly a kilometer before coming to a stop.
The golden half of the bow detached from the armor and rolled into the adjacent landscape pool, smashing the central sculpture in two.
Screams echoed throughout the first starport.
The nobleman's servants pushed their master frantically toward the emergency exit.
A piercing red alert was issued for the entire port area.
"Highest level intrusion alert!"
"Unknown armed vessels have seized berth number one!"
"All Starport Guards, assemble immediately!"
Rows of heavy-duty gates opened.
Tens of thousands of mecha military police rushed out from all directions and quickly blocked the passages around the mothership.
The heavy artillery supports rose out of the ground, with all the gun muzzles pointing towards the mothership's hatch.
Hermann looked at the scene outside and his Adam's apple bobbed a few times.
"Sir, we did indeed stop a bit too heavily this time."
Lin Feng stood up and drew his spear.
"Just bring it to a complete stop."
Just then, the roar of engines came from behind the crowd.
A Starport command vehicle crashed through the escort formation and came to a stop directly in front of the berth.
The car door popped open.
A middle-aged man dressed in a military uniform jumped out of the car, looked up at the wrecked luxury cruise ship, and his facial muscles twitched incessantly.
"Main gun array fully unlocked!"
"Smash this wrecked ship to pieces, no matter the cost!"
