Peninsula: From Water Injection to Stardom

Chapter 100: Nothing More to Say

Jiang Yan had only been in the lounge for a little over half an hour when there was a knock on the door.

After Jiang Zhennan opened the door, a group of people walked in shortly afterward, led by him.

The people brought in were TWICE, JYP's new girl group that debuted today.

"oneinamillion, Hello Jiang Yan! We are TWicE!"

Upon entering, Park Jihyo, as the team leader, took the lead in organizing everyone to greet them with a very serious expression.

Even though the two parties were already quite familiar with each other, they still went through the procedure of a newcomer visiting a senior.

"Hello everyone, you all look beautiful today," Jiang Yan said with a smile as she stood up and waved to them.

All nine members had a cool girl vibe today, with leather jackets and pants, workwear patchwork, and various silver accessories.

Speaking of which, although Lao Tu later became famous for her energetic style, she actually debuted as a Teen Crush.

After failing to find a suitable path, they switched tracks and failed, which led to a three-year period of sustained growth.

"Oppa, you look really handsome today too!" Yoo Jeongyeon jumped out first, praising him with a playful smile.

"Thank you, but isn't your first stage outfit the same one you wore at your debut showcase?" Jiang Yan asked curiously.

He was actually quite unfamiliar with the outfits worn by the entire TWICE team today and didn't have much of an impression of them.

"We don't know either. It's just the company's requirement. Oppa said we'll wear it for our music show tomorrow," Yoo Jeongyeon replied.

"Oh, so it's tomorrow." Jiang Yan nodded.

Meanwhile, Sana Minatozaki chimed in with a smile, "We haven't thanked oppa yet for the coffee truck he sent to our showcase the day before yesterday."

Jiang Yan smiled nonchalantly, "It's nothing. On the contrary, I should apologize for not coming that day."

Hearing him say that, Sana Minatozaki quickly waved her hand and said, "Oppa, you don't need to apologize. I'm just too busy to find the time."

Yoo Jeongyeon chimed in, "Yeah, oppa, everyone has received your kind gesture."

After the two finished speaking, the other members of TWICE also chimed in, expressing their delight at receiving Jiang Yan's support truck.

The two chatted idly for quite a while.

Generally, agents will remind them to leave quickly at this point.

But since we're so familiar with both sides, staying a little longer isn't a big deal.

However, Park Jihyo suddenly remembered that they hadn't exchanged albums yet, so she took the autographed debut album from her manager and handed it to Kang Yeon.

After Jiang Yan took it, he also took out his autographed album to exchange, giving away nine albums at once.

To be honest, Jiang Yan always felt like she was at a disadvantage when it came to exchanging albums.

In exchange with these groups, he could only get one album, but he had to give the number of albums that the group had based on the number of members.

In the past three weeks, he has given out nearly 50 tickets.

After exchanging albums, Jiang Yan chatted with the entire TWICE team for a while longer.

In fact, he spent most of his time talking with Yoo Jeongyeon, Park Jihyo, and Minatozaki Sana, while others like Lim Na-ryeon, Son Chaeyoung, and Hirai Momo only occasionally chimed in.

Aside from giggling, Chou Tzu-yu only spoke when the crowd started making noise, probably because she couldn't speak Korean fluently and therefore didn't say much.

As for Mina, aside from when Jiang Yan deliberately tried to talk to her, she would only have a normal conversation with him, otherwise she would just stand by with a faint smile and not speak.

Finally, the Nine Rabbits stayed for about twenty minutes before leaving Jiang Yan's dressing room. They still had to greet the other seniors who were there to record the show.

After they left, Jiang Yan sat back down and played on her phone.

More than an hour later, staff from the TV station came to inform them.

The process is pretty much the same: first, we record an interview segment with the MC, and then we go to the stage to record the full episode.

By the third week, the rehearsal process was skipped, and they went straight to recording the actual stage performance.

The TV station recognized his abilities, and they only recorded two takes before wrapping up today.

After the event, Jiang Yan didn't leave immediately. Instead, he interacted with the feli audience members before returning to the dressing room.

Next, he only needs to wait until the last winner is revealed before returning to the stage.

TWICE's first stage recording was after his, but Jiang Yan didn't go to the waiting area to see the close-up view. Instead, he watched it through the screen in the lounge.

But after watching for a while, he secretly shook his head.

Sure enough, it used single-track pre-recording.

However, it's understandable, as Twice doesn't even have a strong vocabulary right now.

Park Jihyo was forced into the role of lead vocalist and still needs to hone her skills.

Lim Nayeon's high notes were unstable, and Yoo Jeongyeon's overall performance was also inconsistent.

If vocalists are like this, then it goes without saying that others are even worse.

After watching TWICE finish recording their performance, Jiang Yan stayed in the dressing room to wait.

It wasn't until 6 o'clock that it was finally time for one person to receive an award.

When Jiang Yan walked onto the stage, he saw that TWICE had already lined up and stood behind the MC.

As JYP's new girl group, their prime spots for getting screen time were obviously pre-arranged.

When Jiu Tu saw Jiang Yan arrive, she greeted him with a smile.

Jiang Yan glanced at Mina, who smiled and met his gaze with tender eyes.

After looking away, he gave a brief reply to the others from TWAS and walked in front of them.

The MC began reading the pre-announcement script, and then began announcing the scores of the two reserve candidates.

Kim Tae-yeon was not present this time, and the specific reason is unknown.

The final scores were released again, with Jiang Yan scoring 9873 points and Kim Tae-yeon scoring 9541 points.

"The winner of Week 4 is Jiang Yan, 'LOVESCENARIO'. Congratulations!"

Familiar ribbons fluttered overhead as Jiang Yan once again received the trophy and microphone from MC Park Jin-young.

"Kamsangmidah, I don't know what to say, but anyway, thank you for your support, feli."

After winning a lot, he really had nothing more to say, so he could only briefly thank his fans.

Then, the encore music started, and he began to sing a cappella while holding the trophy.

Behind him, the entire TWICE crew, who were just there as a backdrop, started dancing to the music to cheer him on.

Yoo Jeongyeon and Hirai Momo even did a short dance to the famous choreography of "LOVESCENARIO," which shows they've practiced a lot in private.

A few minutes later, the encore ended.

Jiang Yan returned to the lounge, and not long after, the entire TWICE team came over to congratulate him.

Yoo Jeongyeon was the first to rush up to him and say, "Oppa! Congratulations on winning first place!"

After her, the other members who came in also offered their congratulations.

Surrounded by the enthusiasm of the nine people, Jiang Yan smiled and accepted their kindness, then asked, "What are you going to do when you get back?"

Sana Minatozaki quickly answered, "We'll do a VIive live stream when we get back to the training building."

Jiang Yan asked, "Vlive? What are you planning to broadcast?"

Nayeon stepped forward and said, "Of course it's to promote our title track, so that more people can hear our song."

Park Jihyo nodded in agreement, saying, "Yeah, oppa, we also want to win first place."

Hearing them say that, Jiang Yan pointed to a trophy on the sofa and smiled, "Take one? Look, the trophy is right here. You can pick it up and try it out now."
