Peninsula: From Water Injection to Stardom

Chapter 31 Jiang Yan's Two-Line Poem

On May 4th, Jiang Yan, having finished her first week of promotional activities, was not greeted with a break, but rather with the start of her second week of activities.

Before 8 o'clock, he had already gotten into the nanny car and left the dormitory.

Today is the day of the autograph session; there are two sessions in total.

The meeting room is located in the conference hall of a hotel in Cheongdam-dong, and the stage was set up yesterday.

These autograph sessions have limited capacity, usually only one or two hundred people, so a large venue isn't necessary.

A huge backdrop features a personal poster of Jiang Yan, with his stage name and the name of his mini-album printed in the lower right corner.

Upon arrival, since it wasn't time yet, Jiang Yan first rested in the temporary backstage area while Jiang Zhennan communicated and coordinated with the MCs who would be hosting the event.

Soon, it was 9 o'clock, and the autograph session officially began.

The MC, microphone in hand, stood to the side of the stage and began the introduction: "Welcome our Jiang Yan, please give him a round of applause!"

Amidst the enthusiastic cheers of the fans who had been waiting on stage, Jiang Yan walked onto the stage from the side, smiling and waving to the fans below.

After taking the microphone from the MC, he smiled and said, "Thank you all for waiting for me for so long."

He simply said one sentence, and the previously weak cheers from the audience erupted once again.

After another round of cheers, the MC stepped in to quell the crowd, calmly announcing, "Wow, everyone's so enthusiastic! Let's begin today's autograph session for Jiang Yan's solo album 'BACK'!"

Since the autograph session only lasted a little over an hour, the time was quite tight, and the MC didn't waste any time talking nonsense.

Once the official autograph session began, the first fan to draw a spot went on stage with the album they had purchased in advance, as arranged by the staff.

For fans, autograph sessions are the only opportunity to talk face-to-face with their favorite artists, and everyone has a few minutes to interact.

"Oppa, do you still remember me? I went to support you at your first stage performance."

The first female fan who went on stage had just sat down when she smiled at Jiang Yan in a boastful tone.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Yan's gaze lingered for a moment. He looked at the other person and asked uncertainly, "Were you standing in the second row that day?"

The female fan nodded quickly and happily said, "Yes, it's me!"

"Thank you for your support that day."

"Oh, it's what I should do."

While the two were chatting, Jiang Yan accepted the album from the other person.

After signing his stage name on the album cover, he paused for a moment, then looked up slightly and asked with a smile, "Perhaps, I can know your name."

"Yes, my name is Lee Hyun-joo!"

"Hmm, it's a very nice name."

After tracing the album cover with his pen for a moment, he handed the album back to Lee Hyun-joo.

Lee Hyun-joo took the album and looked down. Besides her signed name, there was an extra line of small print below: "To Hyun-joo, thank you for being my light."

After eagerly clutching the album to her chest like a precious treasure, Lee Hyun-joo said with a touch of excitement, "Oppa, I will always support you! And I definitely will in the future!"

Jiang Yan smiled and said, "Thank you for your support. See you next time."

The interactive session was almost over, and the staff had already come over to signal the female fan to leave the stage.

The latter reluctantly left his seat, but kept turning back to wave to Jiang Yan as he turned around.

Jiang Yan responded, but he quickly put his hand down because the second fan had already come up and sat down in front of him.

The next one was also a female fan, about the same age as the previous one.

But that's normal, the audience today is full of female fans.

Or rather, it would be strange if there were male fans.

Male fans usually attend fan signing events for girl groups, so why would they come to a male celebrity's event?

Then, more than half an hour passed in the blink of an eye.

After smilingly seeing off another fan, Jiang Yan took a quick sip of water from the water bottle on her left.

But this one simple action inexplicably elicited cheers from the fans in the audience.

Jiang Yan figured it was just fans making a fuss, and he didn't care.

After putting down the water bottle, he looked down at the audience and smiled at a few fans who were taking pictures of him, making it easier for them to take photos.

Then, another fan excitedly went on stage.

As she went on stage, the staff whispered in Jiang Yan's ear that her interaction time was ten minutes.

Jiang Yan understood immediately after hearing this; it was clear that more than one spot had been drawn, and the time had been combined.

After the female fan sat down, the questions she prepared were similar to those of the previous fans, all asking him about his preferences.

But after he handed the signed album back to her, the female fan suddenly said with a sly expression, "Oppa, can we do a two-line poem?"

"A two-line poem? No problem."

Jiang Yan was taken aback. He hadn't expected his fans to suggest playing a game from a South Korean variety show with him.

"Oppa, you start! I'm ready!" The female fan's tone immediately became excited upon receiving permission.

"Here I come, Kang."

"강처럼깊은당신의눈동자에완전히빠졌어요 (I completely fell into your eyes as deep as river water)"

Jiang Yan chuckled upon hearing this. This wasn't a game he was here to play; this person was using the pretext of a two-line poem to praise him.

But he still cooperated by saying the second word: "언 (彦)".

"언제나제눈엔오직당신만보여요 (I will always have only you in my eyes)"

As the female fan spoke her second sentence, she raised both hands above her head and made a big heart shape with her hands towards him.

Jiang Yan did not disappoint her; he responded by mimicking her gesture with a heart shape.

Their actions drew a small gasp from the audience.

The female fan's eyes crinkled into crescent moons with a smile, and she asked with a hint of pride, "Oppa, did you like the two-line poem I prepared?"

Jiang Yan smiled and nodded: "I really like it. You must have been preparing for this for a long time."

"Yes, I've been preparing ever since I was selected."

"Thank you for your kind offer, but next time we meet, I'll do the talking."

"Qinjia?!"

"Vest" or "alias".

"..."

The ten-minute interaction time passed quickly, and Jiang Yan saw off the female fan with a smile, her eyes filled with anticipation.

After another twenty minutes or so, the book signing finally came to an end.

The MC also came out to take control of the situation and push forward the final Q&A session.

These questions were all collected and prepared in advance. The two of them had already reviewed the scripts before the signing event, so there were no difficulties.

After this segment concluded, the morning's book signing event officially came to an end.

After saying goodbye to the fans in the audience, Jiang Yan quickly left the hotel and returned to his van.

They needed to go to the location of the next autograph session, which was Sinsa-dong.
