Peninsula: From Water Injection to Stardom

Chapter 81 How much do you like me?

Holding their lottery tickets, the two exchanged them for prizes from the clerk and left the arcade.

Afterwards, Jiang Yan thought he would just spend the morning browsing around the mall.

But unexpectedly, Mina took him to a nearby nail salon.

Although he knew the other person had a hobby of getting manicures, in Jiang Yan's impression, getting manicures seemed to take a lot of time.

However, once she arrived there, Mina only spoke with the staff for a few minutes before asking them to redesign her two fingernails.

Doing the manicure on two fingers didn't take too long. Afterward, they had lunch at a nearby Japanese restaurant.

After finishing their meal and leaving the restaurant, Jiang Yan turned her head and subconsciously asked, "Where are we going next?"

He had already tacitly agreed that today should be spent with Mina.

After being asked this, Mina blinked and asked in return, "Hiko-san, is there anywhere you want to go?"

"Me? I have nowhere I want to go."

Jiang Yan shook his head, then jokingly added, "If I had to, I'd go back to my own apartment."

Upon hearing this, Mina fell silent for a moment.

Then, as if she had made up her mind, she spoke again in a very casual tone: "Then let's go to your apartment."

"Huh? Are you serious?"

Jiang Yan was stunned by the answer, thinking he had misheard.

"Hmm, I was just thinking about it, and I haven't been to the apartment where Hikaru lives yet. I'm quite curious..." Mina paused here, but she had already clearly expressed her meaning.

"Let's go then, but you might be a little disappointed after you see it." Jiang Yan looked at Mina for two seconds to make sure she wasn't joking, and then agreed.

Why do you say that?

"Because there's nothing to see."

The apartment was mostly furnished by the landlord; he didn't add any decorations.

A dozen minutes later, Jiang Yan led Mina into his apartment.

As she entered the house, in the entryway, Mina bent down to put the bag she was carrying on the ground, her gaze inadvertently sweeping over the shoe cabinet.

She noticed that in addition to two pairs of slippers, there was also a stack of unopened disposable shoe covers on the shoe cabinet.

Mina's gaze lingered on that for a moment before she looked away and asked in a seemingly casual tone, "Do people usually come here often?"

When Jiang Yan heard her ask that question, he turned his head and looked in the direction of her gaze, and immediately understood.

"I rarely have customers here. I just bought these shoe covers a couple of days ago."

"Just bought it?"

"A few days ago, Jeongyeon told me that she planned to come visit me in a while. I thought there would definitely be more than just her, so I bought some shoe covers in advance."

"Hyun-san and Jeong-yeon's relationship... is so sweet."

"Yes, because Jeongyeon was the first friend I made in South Korea."

Mina nodded silently upon hearing this, her expression revealing nothing of her thoughts.

After the two walked in, Jiang Yan casually said, "Feel free to look around. I'll get you a drink. Would you like some sugar-free cola or coconut water?"

"Coke it is."

"Okay, I'll go get it."

Jiang Yan turned and walked towards the kitchen, while Mina walked into the living room, looked around, and hesitated for a moment.

Then, feeling very suspicious, he walked to the bedroom door and peeked inside a few times.

After reading it, she quickly pulled her head back, then walked to the door of the study and peeked out again.

A few minutes later, when Mina returned to the living room, Jiang Yan was already sitting on the sofa, with two water glasses on the coffee table and two opened bottles of Diet Coke next to them.

Seeing that the other party had probably finished their tour, Jiang Yan smiled and said, "I wasn't wrong, was I? There wasn't much to see, and the space wasn't very big either."

Mina sat down next to him, shook her head, and said with a hint of envy, "Compared to our dorm, it's already very good."

Hearing her say that, Jiang Yan could only comfort her, "You've only just debuted, so the dorms are only temporary. You'll definitely change them later."

Mina gave a soft "hmm" and didn't say anything more.

However, as she picked up her water glass and took a sip of her cola, she noticed the brand and initiated a conversation, asking, "Why did you buy this brand of cola, Yan-san? Is it because you like drinking it?"

"No, it's just because I'm the brand's spokesperson in China."

Jiang Yan shrugged, making a somewhat helpless expression: "I still have two cases at home. This is only part of what the brand sent. I really can't finish the rest, so I can only give them all to my colleagues at the company."

When Mina heard him say that, she couldn't help but smile slightly, and her originally aloof temperament also dissipated a lot.

Jiang Yan chuckled, took a few sips of water, and then casually asked, "What are you going to do when you get back to the dorm?"

Mina replied, "I'll probably still play the 3DS. I haven't finished that game yet."

Upon hearing this answer, Jiang Yan considered it for a moment and decided to go straight for the point.

"There's something I've been wanting to confirm since last night, but I still think it's better to say it in person."

"What is it?"

"Mina, have you ever thought that the way we're doing today looks like we're on a date?"

Jiang Yan expressed his doubts in a seemingly relaxed tone.

This blunt question, asked without warning, made Mina's heart skip a beat.

When she subconsciously met Jiang Yan's gaze, she quickly and somewhat flusteredly looked away.

Jiang Yan noticed Mina's reaction and immediately realized that some of his guesses from yesterday were true.

The atmosphere in the living room suddenly became subtle.

Seeing Mina's head slightly lowered, as if she was a little shy and didn't want to answer his question, Jiang Yan thought for a moment and decided to try a different approach.

"If you don't know how to answer, let me ask you another question. You should know what a GalGame is, right?"

When asked this question, Mina turned her head to look at Jiang Yan and nodded subconsciously.

But a look of confusion flashed in her eyes, not understanding why Jiang Yan suddenly changed the subject and started talking about games.

After seeing that Mina had responded, Jiang Yan smiled gently at her and continued, "In some GalGames, when the male protagonist is trying to win over a female protagonist, there will be a level of affection indicator."

"Mina-chan, can you tell me how much you like me right now?"
