He floated above the mausoleum, his crown gleaming, the Eye of Horus at the top of his scepter slowly turning. His eyes swept over the city being devoured inch by inch by Alliance players, his face showing an expression like that of an old farmer watching his wheat field being eaten away by locusts.

The sealed points of soul light on his bones flickered violently, as if emitting a silent wail. His expression, his posture, translated into plain language, was: My hometown has been robbed, and I'm furious!

"You insignificant ants!" Amencht's face was contorted with rage, his voice booming down from the sky, each word heavy as a mountain. "You think you can take my city while I'm away?"

He raised his scepter, and the Eye of Horus suddenly widened—the pupil of that eye exploded from a single point into concentric circles of dark golden ripples. These ripples condensed for a moment at the tip of the scepter, and then a dark golden beam of light, as thick as a water vat, shot out from the tip of the scepter with a thunderous roar.

boom--!!!

Where the beam of light struck, a team of players who were besieging Dog God were instantly blasted away. Flashes of white light appeared in patches, like mosquito extinguishers. A large, smoking crater was blasted into the ground, and the stone slabs around the crater melted, with dark red lava bubbling and gurgling.

"I am Amenkht, the immortal Pharaoh, a demigod walking among mortals!"

His voice grew louder and louder, as if the entire world was resonating with him. The clouds in the sky were shaken apart, the rubble on the ground vibrated, and even the shield of the floating city rippled.

"You lowly ants, how dare you challenge me?"

On the battlefield, the alliance players' offensive noticeably paused for a moment.

It wasn't that they were cowards, but the old man's aura was indeed a bit intimidating.

This is nothing like a regional BOSS or an eternal BOSS; this is a world BOSS, someone who is just one step away from becoming the lord of the main city of the fifth system.

But there will never be a shortage of players who are fearless!

An assassin instantly launched a backstab, his figure flashing as he appeared behind the Pharaoh's heel...

Um... Pharaoh was just too big; this was the only place he could go.

He thrust his dagger into the Pharaoh's Achilles tendon, but the legendary dagger was bounced off his hand almost without leaving a wound.

The Pharaoh didn't even glance at him. With a light tap of his scepter, a dark purple energy flowed directly into the assassin's body. The assassin only managed to utter "Damn it!" before his body suddenly stiffened, turning him into the Pharaoh's follower.

That's right, the Pharaoh killed the player and then resurrected the player's corpse as his own warrior.

In the distance, a sorcerer stood on a rooftop, preparing to chant. The pharaoh pointed a finger, and an invisible shockwave swept across, sending the sorcerer and the rooftop flying. In mid-air, the sorcerer turned into a white light.

Then a group of berserkers roared as they rode on two-legged wyverns. The Pharaoh slowly turned around, and the Eye of Horus on his scepter stared at the berserkers and their mounts. Then it blinked—just once—and the berserkers and their mounts were all blown to pieces into a cloud of blood mist!

A paladin raised his shield and activated invincibility, charging towards the pharaoh, but was knocked away from the city like a shuttlecock being hit...

Even Skylock tried it out. He leaped off the griffin's back, his spear brimming with black and white annihilation power, and thrust it into the Pharaoh's chest.

The Pharaoh's health bar seemed to twitch slightly. He looked down at the progenitors and said disdainfully, "Even the strongest among ants is still an ant!"

After saying that, Skylock felt a suffocating sensation, as if the surrounding space suddenly solidified and compressed towards him!

He hurriedly activated his invincibility and barely managed to hold on!

"If this is all you've got, then all of you... stay here!!!"

A massive shockwave erupted from the Pharaoh's body, and countless points of soul light spread out from his body with the shockwave. Wherever the shockwave passed, all the players froze, and while they died instantly, their corpses became slaves to the Pharaoh, fighting for him.

Not only that, but those Black Knights, Mummified Giants, Sphinx Constructs, Necromancers, Banshees, Abominations, and so on who had been killed in the city before but whose bodies weren't so badly damaged actually slowly got up as the soul light entered!

They were awakened once more by the Pharaoh and fought for him! The situation instantly reversed!

Seeing the old man wreaking havoc in the city, with no player able to withstand a single blow from him, Skylock couldn't help but frown deeply.

The damage he dealt with his Annihilation Power just now was clearly wrong!

That move, under normal circumstances, would ignore defense and instantly take away half of any enemy's health! He's even tried it on the Eternal Boss!

But just now... the hit on the opponent was practically harmless!

With his extensive experience, he immediately realized what was going on.

There's only one explanation: divine amplification, yes, that's it!

Considering that the Pharaoh mentioned that he was a demigod walking among mortals, this guy may very well possess considerable divine power!

Divine power... to put it bluntly, it's like saying, "It doesn't hurt when you hit me, but it will kill you when I hit you."

There's not much that can be done; mortals are naturally at a disadvantage when facing demigods.

Skylock immediately warned in the alliance channel: "Attention everyone! The Pharaoh may be resisting divine power! Our damage to him will be greatly reduced!"

He gave a brief explanation of divine resistance, which was something most players were hearing about for the first time, and many of them immediately changed their expressions.

"Is this the world boss...?"

"What do we do now? This old thing is much stronger than the Beast God's avatar!"

"What are you afraid of! We have over 200,000 men; we can overwhelm him with sheer numbers!"

"Look at the city now! After we died, our bodies were completely controlled by him!"

"This is terrible! We may not be afraid of death, but every time we die, he'll have another body of one of ours!"

"That's right, with one side gaining and the other losing, his followers will only increase..."

Amenhote reversed the situation with a mere gesture; within minutes of his return, the players in the city were completely suppressed and unable to raise their heads.

With a wave of the scepter, a burst of white light appeared; with a sweep of the Eye of Horus, an entire street was covered. His presence was simply invincible!

The reason why the players in the city haven't completely collapsed is entirely because Skylock is still holding on.

Although the annihilation power of the gods and demons did not cause much damage to the Pharaoh, he was at least safe and sound. Although he was hit by the Pharaoh's various skills several times, he withstood them all.

After several attempts, the Pharaoh grew impatient. Since he couldn't kill him in a short time, he simply stopped paying attention to Skylock and changed his target. His eyes, burning with blazing white flames, slowly turned towards the floating city in the sky.

Amencht knew very well that, compared to the players, the floating city was the greatest threat to his city.

"Flying castle? You dare to possess such a weapon?" The Pharaoh's voice betrayed a hint of greed. "Why not use it as my capital city!"
