Full health is the kill threshold, no matter if you're a god or a demon!

Silverscale Naga are amphibious species. Most of the buildings in the Rust Dynasty are underwater. When the ancestral land was upgraded last time, some of the middle and high-level Silverscale Naga also had their level cap increased. However, facing fire elementals of level 200 or more, they could only rely on the "water counters fire" attribute to barely retreat underwater. They basically lost all their territories above the water.

For the time being, Dragon City should be fine. For the demons of the third level of the Underdark to reach Dragon City, they would have to pass through the second and first levels first, and then find a place to attack. Finally, to attack Dragon City, they would have to pass through that narrow magic-suppressing rock passage.

That passage is impregnable and sealed off from magic; as long as it is guarded, it won't be easy for demons to get in!

At least Liu Nian and his group thought so, believing that although the situation was critical, it should still be manageable.

But they really underestimated the situation!

At this moment, Liu Nian received another piece of bad news:

[System Notification: The City of Exile has been overrun by the demons of the abyss. You have lost your title as the mastermind behind the City of Exile!]

Liu Nian's brows furrowed into a deep frown.

A level 399 abyssal demon and a level 200+ fire elemental army—could these two events happening at the same time be a coincidence?

Someone is still up to no good.

If so, who would be the culprit?

Two names flashed through Liu Nian's mind: the Gorgon Insect King, and those lingering Mistfolk.

These two groups are the most suspicious.

So, could there be problems in the Centaur region as well?

Liu Nian immediately instructed Wang Mian to contact Carol Tauros, the centaur patriarch.

Soon, Wang Mian replied: Everything is normal over there. The Centaur have been keeping an eye on the inter-zone passage and have not found any enemies.

Wang Mian himself had also placed informants in the competition area passage, and nothing seemed amiss.

Liu Nian nodded secretly.

However, this does not rule out their involvement; perhaps they used some means to mobilize demons and fire elementals.

It's understandable that fire elemental creatures come from the fire elemental passage—the passage was always there.

But where did the abyssal demons come from?

Could it be...?

Skylock noticed their unusual behavior and walked over to Liu Nian, lowering his voice, "Has something happened?"

Liu Nian didn't hide anything: "There's been a problem at the ancestral land, and I need to go back and handle it. I'll have other members of the guild speak on our behalf at the next meeting."

Skylock nodded, then asked, "Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Not for now." Liu Nian shook his head, paused, and then added, "However, I may not be able to participate in the battle against the remnants of the Pharaoh's forces for a while. But I will stay in the floating city, and the teleportation array will remain open as usual."

Skylock understood. The Pharaoh had fled, leaving only remnants of his army. Without the Pharaoh in charge, the Alliance's current strength was more than enough to handle the situation. With the floating city in place, players could refill their trophies indefinitely, so even without Liu Nian, it wouldn't be a big problem.

Liu Nian said no more. The situation was urgent, so he and Wu Zhan activated the Boundary Breaker and disappeared from everyone's sight in an instant.

When the light faded, the two were already standing on the city wall of Dragon City.

Liu Nian took a deep breath and patted Wu Zhan on the shoulder.

"I'm leaving this place to you. I'm going somewhere."

Liu Nian abandoned Wu Zhan and headed alone towards the third level of the Dark Region.

Wu Zhan opened his mouth on the city wall as if he wanted to say something, but the person had already disappeared, so he had to swallow his words back.

Alright, Liu Nian even drove away the world boss Pharaoh, why should he worry about it? So Wu Zhan silently turned around and went to arrange the defense of Dragon City.

The city of exile had been taken over by demons, rendering the teleportation array unusable. However, when Liu Nian was exploring the distribution of the mineral veins on the third layer of the Underdark, he had dropped goblin coordinate locators at various key locations. Although those things looked like scrap metal, their functions were truly top-notch. He directly activated the teleportation function attached to his shoes.

A flash of light, and he was already standing on some ruins on the third level of the Dark Region.

The place has indeed changed drastically.

When Liu Nian last came here, although it was dilapidated, it was at least a proper underground world—dark purple rock layers, glowing moss, and the occasional wild monster wandering around. Now, it's a complete barbecue site!

The air was filled with a strong smell of sulfur, just like after setting off firecrackers during the New Year's Eve celebrations!

The ground here has cracked open with countless fissures, from which dark red hot air surges out, and the terrain has changed a lot.

As Liu Nian made his way toward his destination, he became increasingly alarmed. Along the way, he discovered that the monster-infested areas had been almost completely destroyed. All creatures, whether monsters or NPCs, seemed to have been captured or killed, leaving no survivors.

Finally, Forgefire Fortress came into view.

This once abyssal dwarven city has now been completely transformed into a den of demons.

Liu Nian still remembers the first time he came here. Although Forgefire Fortress was not tall, it was full of dwarven-style architecture. Now those buildings have been demolished and replaced by demonic buildings made of flesh and bones.

The air here is filled not only with a strong smell of sulfur, but also with a strong stench of decay. The combination of these smells is enough to make you vomit up your dinner from the night before.

The ground was covered with a layer of dark purple stuff that felt soft and spongy underfoot, like stepping on flesh. This was "corrupted lichen" formed by the erosion of demonic energy. Non-demon creatures that stood on it would feel like they were poisoned and would continuously lose health.

At this moment, one can see a large number of demonic creatures bustling about in and out of the city.

There were demon soldiers covered in black scales, enormous abyss lords, mountain-sized flesh and blood beasts, high-ranking demons covered in armor, and even some bizarre and blasphemous creatures.

Liu Nian crouched behind a rock, and with a single glance, he could see at least a thousand demons. And these were only on the city walls; who knew how many more were inside the city.

He squinted, recalling the scene of the final battle when they attacked Forgefire Fortress.

In a secret chamber, the former Lord of Forgefire, Gruba Flamebeard, summoned the demon Skinner, Boeglas, from the abyss.

Liu Nian obtained the Abyss Rewind Stone and Xiao Lan by killing him.

Therefore, he guessed that the other party probably came through that altar, and what he saw now undoubtedly confirmed his guess!

Liu Nian's gaze passed over the ragtag soldiers and landed on a high platform in the center of the city, constructed of bones and flesh.

The platform was several stories higher than the surrounding buildings, and a towering demon stood atop it.

That creature was a size larger than the surrounding abyss lords, its entire body covered in crimson carapace, with magma faintly flowing through the gaps in the carapace, shining like LED light strips.

Its head has four curved ram horns, the tips of which burn with dark purple abyssal demonic flames, and it holds a giant sword that is also burning with demonic flames in its hand.
