Full health is the kill threshold, no matter if you're a god or a demon!

At this moment, a pale blue halo lit up the ground around the order unit—the [Stabilizing Field] was deployed!

All melee fighters within range felt their bodies sink, their movement and attack speeds noticeably slowed, as if they were sinking into viscous oil.

Wu Zhan and Zhang Hanshan already had to watch out for the bosses in front of them and the constantly bouncing gears, and now that their speed has slowed down, it's even more difficult for them!

"What kind of skill is this? It's such a nuisance!" Wang Tu roared, swinging his double axes at the solid outer shell of the Order Unit, but only leaving shallow white marks.

Then a metallic health bar popped up above the BOSS's head.

Wang Tugang's eyes widened: "Holy crap! Is this an invincible shield? It doesn't take damage?"

Metallic health bars are usually protected by some mechanism, and as long as this mechanism is not broken, health will not be lost!

On the other side, the Chaos Unit is also protected by some mechanism and is invincible, but its attacks are completely different.

It vibrated violently, and the rivets on its shell seemed to be jumping. "Hiss—!" A large amount of scorching high-pressure steam was wildly spewed out from multiple exhaust ports, covering a large area where Zhang Hanshan's team was located, forcing them to dodge in a sorry state. In addition, the high-pressure steam also had the effect of obscuring vision, and the BOSS's figure was covered by thick steam for a moment.

Immediately afterwards, several [shattered gears] suddenly shot out from the steam, flying wildly in all directions like darts, and bounced wildly after hitting the walls. Han Lesheng in the back row was almost hit and broke out in a cold sweat.

What's more troublesome is that the Chaos Unit began to emit an unstable red light—the [Overload] skill was activated, and its attack speed increased significantly. Zhang Hanshan, who was standing nearby, heard a "whoosh" sound, and a transmission shaft actually pierced out from it, slamming him directly and sending him flying several meters away!

As soon as he flew, the gears that bounced back from Wu Zhan's side immediately bounced towards Zhao Xinchun in position number two!

Caught off guard, Zhao Xinchun was hit by the gear and immediately fell to the ground.

"Watch out!"

Su Wan screamed.

Zhao Xinchun is an assassin, but incredibly fragile!

Surprisingly, Zhao Xinchun was unharmed.

Because she also has a bond with Liu Nian!

"The treatment is quite stressful!" Chen Suan said while healing Wu Zhan, keeping an eye on Zhang Hanshan on the other side.

Li Xun stood in the center of the battlefield, sweat beading on his forehead. He switched between his [Weakening Curse] and [Corrosion] spells on the two bosses, trying to reduce their threat, but it seemed to have no effect on these mechanical creations!

However, when Zhou Ming turned on [Inspiring Battle Song] and [Ode to Resilience] to their maximum levels, the effect was quite obvious.

Liu Nian ignored the chaos between the two teams; his target was those incredibly thick drive shafts that were twisting wildly and transmitting unbalanced power!

Although the gears of the Chaos Unit hit him, he made no attempt to dodge. Instead, he unleashed a Soul-Sucking Strike, slamming it hard into one of the main drive shafts!

"clang--!"

A dull thud followed, and sparks flew everywhere.

However, the drive shaft only vibrated violently once, without leaving a single dent on its surface, and continued to spin wildly.

Liu Nian frowned. He noticed that the drive shaft didn't have a health bar at all!

The attack appears to be ineffective?

Liu Nian frowned.

It seems that blindly rushing in won't work; we need to figure out the mechanics of this boss.

The gears bouncing around the field, the [stabilizing force field] of the Order Unit, and the [high-pressure steam] of the Chaos Unit kept both teams busy.

"These two machines are hard-connected... there must be some kind of sharing mechanism!"

Liu Nian's thoughts returned to the scene before the battle when he was instructed to deal with the pair of [Ancient Guardian Puppets].

At that time, the two elite monsters shared a status and would be immune to physical or magical damage at certain stages.

Could these two bosses have the same mechanics?

This boss's attack method is very simple: a large gear and countless smaller gears, plus the steam it spews out and the slowing force field it creates.

……

The problem is that this thing is invincible and its defenses can't be broken!

After observing for a while, Liu Nian discovered a pattern.

The large gears launched by the Order Unit will bounce between players, and the order of bounce should be determined by the distance between them and the players' machines.

Because Wu Zhan and Zhang Hanshan were closest to the BOSS, they would keep bouncing between each other. After Zhang Hanshan was knocked away by the transmission shaft, it was Zhao Xinchun's turn in the second position...

The small gears launched by the Chaos Unit may seem random, but they are actually launched at a distance from the player. The farther the distance, the faster the gears launch.

Zhou Ming said, "Boss, this won't do! We'll be worn down!"

Han Lesheng added, "Yes, why don't we go outside and rest for a bit?"

Just as the team was struggling, at a loss with the constantly bouncing gears and the boss's unmoving health bar, Li Xun, who had been observing the overall situation from the rear, suddenly shouted:

"Wait! Those gears! Those launching gears also have a health bar, no, it's durability!"

Everyone was stunned upon hearing this. Then Han Lesheng immediately shot an arrow at the large gear, which indeed reduced its durability by a small amount!

Everyone quickly focused their fire, and a moment later, the gear, having run out of durability, fell to the ground with a thud.

But soon, with a "click" from inside the order unit, a brand new gear was ejected.

"Get rid of the old one and a new one will come out, it's useless!" Wang Tugang roared in frustration.

"No, it works!" Liu Nian, who had been observing silently, suddenly realized something.

"President! Brother Zhang!" Liu Nian shouted, "You guys change positions! President, you move to the left of the Order Unit, Brother Zhang, you move to the right of the Chaos Unit! Everyone else, retreat and focus fire on those small gears!!"

Upon hearing this, Wu Zhan's eyes immediately lit up: That's right!

He and Zhang Hanshan immediately ran to their respective positions, at which point all four of them were in a straight line, their positions being:

Martial Arts - Order Unit - Chaos Unit - Zhang Hanshan

The gear bounces between Wu Zhan and Zhang Hanshan, but it bounces in a straight line, so it will inevitably collide with the order unit - the chaos unit in the middle during the bounce.

Then, something amazing happened!

The gear that had been bouncing back and forth between Wu Zhan and Zhang Hanshan suddenly became extremely stable and straight in its flight trajectory!

It started colliding at high speed between the ordered and chaotic units, like a bouncy ball!

"Clang!" "Clang!" "Clang!" "Clang!"

With each collision, the gears slammed heavily against the BOSSes' thick metal shells, producing a dull thud!

A moment later, the metallic health bars above the two bosses' heads actually started to shrink!

Their invincibility is being broken by their own attacks.

"Holy crap! So that's how it is!" Wang Tugang exclaimed in disbelief. "That's how these gears are used?!"

"It's not about making us hit the gears, it's about making the gears hit themselves!" Su Wan suddenly realized.

"It's that simple?" Han Lesheng asked incredulously.

"Easy? If we can't find this pattern, we probably won't even see the real boss!" Wu Zhan praised while maintaining his position, "Liu Nian, well done!"

Finally, after the invincibility status above the heads of the two bosses was broken and their health bars were revealed, the real boss battle began!
