Full health is the kill threshold, no matter if you're a god or a demon!

Actually, even if Mechagon hadn't mentioned this last point, Liu Nian would have done it anyway.

On the one hand, the collaboration with the Engineering Dwarfs was indeed very pleasant and beneficial. On the other hand, Mechagon is a guy who can build perpetual engines!

How could we possibly let go of such a talented person?

Mechagon nodded in satisfaction and said, "Then your task is to create a lot of chaos in the city to draw Shams' attention and prevent him from interfering with me!"

"Okay, it's settled then. I'll go clear out the undead, you can focus on repairing."

"You can take this!" McCagon said. "It's a map of the entire Golden City's interior, marked with defensive structures, key commanders, weaknesses, and more. You can clear it out as needed!"

Liu Nian's eyes lit up. He took it and glanced at it, then was overjoyed.

With this, there's practically no place in the entire Golden City that he can't go!

Some important departments, such as those involving resource storage, are clearly marked!

McCagon clearly noticed Liu Nian's expression and probably guessed what he was thinking. He said, "You can try to acquire those resource points. Even if you don't, it doesn't matter. Because ultimately, as long as you gain supreme control of this city, none of those things will escape you!"

Liu Nian nodded: "I know, but I'm worried that Shams will abandon the city and flee with its resources!"

"This city is the greatest treasure!" McCagon declared. "Everything else is secondary! Oh... wait a minute! It seems there's something very important to you adventurers!"

"What?"

"The Key to Ultimate Ascension!"

"What is that?" Liu Nian asked curiously.

"It's an item that allows you to unlock all level restrictions and raise your maximum level cap to 999."

Liu Nian's eyes widened suddenly.

"Where is it?" he asked, barely suppressing his excitement.

"It's in this Mithril Vault No. 3. Wait a moment, please give me a fragment of your soul."

"How do I give it to you?" Liu Nian was a little confused.

"I killed you once, but you have the means to resurrect, right?" McCagon said.

"Yes, I do." Liu Nian has many ways to save his life.

"Okay, then please don't resist!"

As he spoke, Mechagon began to unleash powerful arc rays of electricity from the massive engineering tentacles on his back, shooting them toward Liu Nian.

One minute... five minutes... ten minutes...

Mechagon stopped, puzzled. "Why aren't you losing health?"

"I..." Liu Nian wasn't immune to health loss, it's just that his shield was too thick, his health was too high, his defense was high, his recovery was fast, and the passive healing effect provided by his equipment was also very strong...

Simply put, Mechagon's damage isn't even as fast as Liu Nian's recovery!

That's understandable, since he's basically just a research robot that's been imprisoned.

"Alright, let's move on to the second plan." McCagon turned to Gelbin. "Switch to him!"

Moments later, Gerbin, who had been killed and then resurrected, was put back into the giant body by Liu Nian.

"I have entered his permissions into the key. Once you arrive, release him and he will be able to open the access door."

"Okay." Liu Nian turned to leave.

"Wait a minute," Mechagon called out to him. "Give me that spider servant controller you have."

Liu Nian wondered, how did he know I had this?

Oh, I took it out once before to try and see if I could control the spider servants here. It seems he's been watching me ever since!

Liu Nian took the controller out of his backpack and handed it over.

The robotic arm behind Mechagon extended one of its arms, took the controller, scanned it with the complex device at its end, and then nodded.

"The old version has too low permissions and level. Leave it to me, I'll upgrade it for you!"

Liu Nian reactivated his deceitful nature and transformed back into the form of the dragon general Origian.

He pulled out the holographic map that Mechagon had given him and unfolded it in front of him.

The densely packed annotations are dazzling—city defense nodes, troop distribution, locations of important generals, resource warehouses, armories...

Three of these locations are specifically marked in red.

Mithril Vault No. 1, Adamantite Vault No. 2, Mithril Vault No. 3.

The key to ultimate ascension lies in Mithril Vault #3.

Liu Nian's gaze lingered on the mark for a moment before he put the map away.

We can't go straight for the goal; that would be too deliberate.

Although Shams was overwhelmed by the vampire invasion, this city was, after all, his territory. If he discovered that someone was eyeing his treasure vault, he certainly couldn't stand idly by. Therefore, Liu Nian had to take things slowly.

For the next two hours, Liu Nian wandered around inside the pyramid like a headless fly.

He specifically targeted areas marked on the map with dense troop concentrations and BOSS outposts, killing wherever he went. Although he seemed aimless, he was actually gradually moving closer to the area where the No. 3 Mithril Vault was located.

[Unstoppable Reset]

[Ding! Level increased to 698]

……

My level is rising rapidly, and I have almost ten silver skill stones. I've also encountered vampire players more than once along the way.

Those guys saw him like they were seeing their own father, and they were all incredibly excited.

"Oregon! It's the boss of Oregon!"

"Hey pro, help us out! There's a level 900 undead boss up ahead, and we can't beat it!"

"There are a lot of undead players here! They're coming to support this city via the teleportation array!"

……

As Liu Nian fought his way through, he gradually gleaned some unpleasant news from the vampires he encountered.

Enemy reinforcements are constantly entering the Golden City through the teleportation array, and the city's internal defense system is also causing great trouble. In short, the vampires are suffering heavy losses. If the stalemate cannot be broken as soon as possible, the situation will become even worse once other pharaohs come to their aid.

Thinking about this, Liu Nian wondered if he should go back to Mechagon and ask him to shut down some of the defense systems... No, that wouldn't do, as it could very likely expose Mechagon.

Besides... so what if the vampires die? It would be even better if both sides could suffer heavy losses!

At worst, I can secretly find a place to unleash my magic and cause a huge destruction!

With that thought in mind, Liu Nian continued forward. This time he didn't go very far and didn't encounter any undead. Instead, he encountered a small group of vampire NPCs who were resting.

The team leader was a level 780 vampire warrior, covered in wounds, with only half his health remaining, leaning against a pillar, panting heavily.

Upon seeing Liu Nian, his eyes lit up, and he quickly stood up.

"Lord Oregan!"
