Card Making: My Card Game Starts with the White Dragon

Besides the [Iron Gallbladder Gourd] (blue), the [Gourd Brothers] also has another essential component: the human-shaped material card.

Although the humanoid material cards required for [Gourd Brothers] are not as essential as those for [Ao Lie, the Third Prince of the Jade Dragon of the West Sea] who require royal blood, humanoid material cards for children are still scarce.

After three whole hours of refreshing, Zhou Hao only saw one humanoid material card called [Beast Heart Butcher] (Green).

However, this is far from the image of children required by "Calabash Brothers", and it is simply impossible to compromise.

"Is it destined that we won't be able to make this 'Calabash Brothers' figure today?"

Just as Zhou Hao was frantically refreshing the page with a frustrated expression, Lady Luck smiled upon him once again.

"【Wrestling Boy】(Green)??"

Hesitating for even a second is disrespectful to the doll material card; pay immediately again.

Meanwhile, in a room somewhere in the dormitory building.

Zhao Lei stared at the "This item has been sold" message on his computer screen, scratching his head in frustration.

"Aaaaaaah!!!"

The soundproofing cotton worked very well; Zhou Hao didn't hear Zhao Lei's screams of sudden illness at all.

He quickly checked off the items he had already paid for: [Iron Banana Leaf] (white), [Bloodstained Yellow Robe] (white), [Iron Gallbladder Gourd] (blue), and the card-making auxiliary tools.

After clicking "ship," Zhou Hao let out a long sigh of relief and lay back on the bed.

"The material from Shanhai City still imposes too much constraint on Chinese mythology."

In Chinese mythology, aside from some ancient mythical beasts in the *Classic of Mountains and Seas* that do not necessarily require human form,

Most well-known characters rely on humanoid material cards.

If we have to keep waiting like this every time, it's too much of a gamble.

Moreover, the highest quality of the materials in the online resource library is only blue.

We need to find a stable channel to purchase doll material cards in the future.

……

Not long after, the familiar sound of knocking on the glass rang out.

This time, a white dove arrived, and the signing process was exactly the same as last time.

"Is the courier service in the East District called 'Flying Pigeon Delivery'?"

Zhou Hao's thoughts wandered slightly, but he quickly refocused his attention on the material cards.

Practice makes perfect, and this time Zhou Hao quickly calmed his mind and entered the mysterious mental space.

It was still the familiar endless gray fog, and it still stood suspended in mid-air.

However, Zhou Hao estimated that the pressure of card production this time should be less.

Last time was the first time making cards, and it was a huge task with eleven materials, so Zhou Hao was under tremendous pressure.

Now that his mental strength has greatly increased, dealing with four materials that are no more than blue should be much easier.

With a thought, Zhou Hao summoned the Iron Gallbladder Gourd (blue), the Wrestling Boy (green), the Bloodstained Yellow Robe (white), the Iron Banana Leaf (white), and the Four Treasures of the Card Master.

Suddenly, the [Iron Gallbladder Gourd] (blue) transformed into a gourd phantom the size of a normal person.

The gourd is jet black and glossy, with a metallic sheen, and a glaring, grinning human face appears on its surface.

With a roar, the gourd charged straight at Zhou Hao.

[Wrestling Boy] (Green) shows the figure of a strong young boy, standing in a tiger-squatting wrestling stance.

With arms outstretched and eyes fixed on Zhou Hao, she slowly approached, as if searching for his weakness.

[Bloodstained Yellow Robe] (White) Moved without wind, fluttering above Zhou Hao's head and covering him.

Zhou Hao glanced over out of the corner of his eye and noticed that [Iron Banana Leaf] (white) had also come to join the fun.

It actually floated on the left and lunged straight at Zhou Hao's face!

"Oh my god, the resource card has come back to life?! This didn't happen last time."

These material cards are all phantoms; perhaps being hit by them won't kill you?

Zhou Hao didn't want to gamble on something he had no knowledge of.

In a flash, he instinctively grabbed a blank card with one hand and a drawing pen with the other, recalling the last time he made cards.

In an instant, a huge scroll descended from the sky, separating Zhou Hao from the phantom formed from these materials.

Although he didn't know why this was happening, he knew that as long as he finished making the cards as soon as possible, these problems would naturally disappear.

Zhou Hao swiftly picked up his brush, dipped it in the spiritual liquid, and with swift, flowing strokes, wrote five large, golden characters—【Golden Calabash Brothers】.

In an instant, the scroll unfurled, and the illusory images of the material cards suddenly became much thinner.

"Could it be that the words I wrote have a suppressive effect on these resurrected zombie material cards?"

He dared not delay, and wrote down the story he had already arranged in his mind in one go:

The Calabash Brothers, their mother was the innate spiritual root of Kunlun Mountain, nourished by the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.

[Later, the White Crane Boy accidentally damaged his spiritual root while gathering herbs, and the spiritual seed fell to earth, transforming into seven gourd brothers. The Golden Gourd Brother is the third of the seven brothers.]

Where the seven brothers were born, demons roamed the land, and the people suffered terribly. Fortunately, each of the seven brothers possessed supernatural powers, which enabled them to defeat the demons and restore peace to the region.

【The Calabash Brothers, born with bodies of steel and impervious to swords and spears, possess the power of indestructibility】

Its fighting style is fierce and unparalleled, and demons greatly fear it.

……

Having written this far, Zhou Hao still had energy to spare, but he stopped writing.

Based on the experience of creating the card [West Sea Jade Dragon Third Prince Ao Lie] last time...

He did not write the part where [Ao Lie, the Third Prince of the Jade Dragon of the West Sea] was turned into a white horse, and in the end, Chengka indeed did not have the characteristic or skill of turning into a white horse mount.

Therefore, Zhou Hao believes that the skills and characteristics of cards are not only influenced by the original story, but also by the text written during the card-making process.

Therefore, the Calabash Brothers, together with their brothers, transformed into Calabash Mountain to suppress the Snake and Scorpion Demons.

Zhou Hao didn't write about the scenes where the Calabash Brothers combine with their brothers to become the Calabash Little King Kong.

I'm just afraid that if I write too much, it will lead to the creation of new skills and characteristics for "Gourd Brothers" such as turning into stone or combining.

When Zhou Hao draws a random skill, he might not get the core skill of [Gourd Boy], which he considers a loss.

The card settings and plot can be added later as the card quality improves.

However, Zhou Hao could only draw a skill randomly once, and he could tell which was more important.

At this moment, the entire text shone like gold and iron, its light dazzling, while the illusory images of the several material cards beside it had long since disappeared.

Zhou Hao recalled the phantom images of those highly aggressive material cards.

He thought to himself, "It seems I still have a lot to learn about card making."

He picked up his pen again and began drawing the card.

Since the original design was in the form of a simple line drawing, the drawing of "Calabash Brothers" was not difficult.

With just a few strokes, the classic Calabash Brothers image from the Shanghai Animation Film Studio comes to life on the scroll.

The scene depicts a deep, dark cave where demons dance wildly and bones litter the ground.

Inside the cave, a sturdy young man with a small gourd on his head was surrounded by countless demons.

The demon brandished its sword and slashed fiercely at the burly youth.

The boy's eyes widened in anger, and he shattered all the swords and blades with his bare body, yet he himself was completely unharmed.

In an instant, the demons all showed fear and scattered in all directions, making the boy in the cave, dressed in a bright yellow short jacket and with a green leaf tied around his waist, look like a god.

"Not bad, it looks a bit like a fierce warrior."

Zhou Hao was quite satisfied and immediately began the finishing touches—drawing the back of the card.

For the most basic card type, [Summoning Card], Zhou Hao could draw its mental energy circuit with his eyes closed, so this step was naturally not a challenge.

As the final stroke fell, the four material cards seemed to be struck by a heavy hammer, suddenly turning into countless fragments.

The next second, these fragments shot straight at the "Gourd Boys" in the painting, like beams of light.

In an instant, the [Gourd Brothers] shone brightly.

In the dim light, Zhou Hao seemed to hear the innocent laughter of a child, and the demons in the painting seemed to be wailing, trying to crawl out of the painting and scatter in all directions.

Suddenly, the gray mist dissipated, the scroll was closed, and the brushstrokes disappeared.

The light and shadows before Zhou Hao's eyes shifted, and the laughter and wails all faded away.

Once his vision returned, a card glowing blue and its associated information simultaneously appeared in Zhou Hao's mind.
