Elven cultivators
Chapter 296 Very Thick Thighs
Roman's sudden remark left the dog-woman girl stunned and somewhat at a loss.
Her understanding of the Silver Moon Clan was actually quite limited.
This dog-man race originally lived on the Frostridge Plateau, far from the Eldron Plains, and knew very little about the powers that ruled that land.
All she knew was that the Silvermoon Clan was the most powerful force in the region, ruling over the Eldron Plains and the Green Highlands.
They knew that the Meteor Dragon Sword Saint was the patriarch of the Silver Moon Clan and the true master of this land.
But apart from that, she knew nothing more about the Silvermoon Clan.
As for the young elf sister in front of me...
From the respectful actions of the elven soldiers and the awe-inspiring gazes of those around her, Una vaguely realized that the other party was an important figure.
To become the apprentice of such an important person is undoubtedly a tremendous honor.
Therefore, after a slight hesitation, the dog-woman girl quickly agreed.
"I do."
Roman chuckled and reached out to ruffle the dog-girl's hair.
"What's your name?"
"Una".
"Una...a good name." Roman withdrew his hand, looking at her with a smile. "From today onwards, you are my apprentice."
"Yes, teacher!" Una quickly replied, her voice filled with barely suppressed joy.
At that moment, she finally noticed the strangeness of her surroundings.
Whether it was the elven soldiers, the city guards, or the merchants around her, their gazes towards her were filled with undisguised surprise and envy.
Even the elf captain looked at him with a hint of envy.
Una suddenly realized something.
Her status as a teacher was perhaps much higher than she had imagined.
Roman turned to the elf captain and instructed, "The Flying Cloud Ship is parked three kilometers away. Take everyone there now and board the ship to return to the Primordial Spirit Realm. There's no need to rest in the city, including the half-elves and the slave hunter team."
The flying boat she was on had been modified, sacrificing some of its habitability for enhanced transport capabilities.
It can easily carry several hundred people.
"Yes, Lord Roman." The elven captain immediately turned and beckoned to his subordinates.
Meanwhile, Una had already learned Roman's true identity from the clan chief, and felt completely dizzy.
Legendary powerhouse... Vice Commander of the Silver Moon Legion...
To their dog-people, this was undoubtedly an unapproachable figure.
Now he has become her teacher.
This made Una feel like she had been hit by a pie falling from the sky, and she was so surprised that she was in a daze.
I've managed to latch onto a really, really powerful patron.
"Una".
Roman's voice pulled Una out of her daze.
"Come with me."
"Yes, teacher," Una quickly followed.
The group changed direction and headed away in a grand procession towards the direction where the Flying Cloud Ship was docked.
Only when the procession completely disappeared at the end of the official road did the people at the city gate awaken as if from a dream.
"That dog-woman girl is incredibly lucky... she actually got taken in as an apprentice by that Lord Roman?"
"I'm so envious, that's incredible luck."
"A meteoric rise."
Exclamations of amazement rose and fell.
Many people's faces were filled with envy and jealousy.
The significance of being a disciple of a legendary powerhouse is self-evident.
Not to mention he was the apprentice of the Silver Moon Legion's vice commander.
From this day forward, the life of that dog-woman girl will undergo a dramatic transformation.
Not far away, Jonah and Field exchanged a glance, both seeing the helplessness in each other's eyes.
"Should we report this matter?"
"Of course we have to report it. Do you think we can keep it a secret?"
"...That's true. I reckon the news will spread throughout the entire Bilin City before tomorrow."
The two of them sighed in unison.
Those two lowly city guard officers had absolutely no right to interfere with Lord Roman's actions.
With just a single word from them, they could lose their foothold in Bilin City.
Even if it weren't for them, even if the high-ranking members of the Bilin clan came, they would only have to greet Lord Roman with smiles.
"Forget it, let the higher-ups worry about it."
……
After walking three kilometers west along the official road, the group soon arrived at the mooring place of the Lingyun Flying Boat.
Looking at the enormous creature before her, Una stared in shock, her mouth agape without her even noticing.
She had never seen an airship before, let alone a flying vehicle like the one in front of her, which was almost a work of art.
"So big..."
Alo, who was standing next to her sister, was also stunned and murmured to herself involuntarily.
Roman chuckled and said, "This isn't that big. The Flying Radiance Tower is dozens of times larger than the Soaring Cloud Flying Boat."
Upon hearing this, Una and Aloz both wore expressions of disbelief.
Dozens of times larger than this?
They simply couldn't imagine that scene.
"Let's go up."
Roman didn't explain further and took the lead up the gangway to the deck.
Una followed behind, holding Aro's hand, unconsciously slowing her pace, afraid of damaging such a precious item.
On the deck, several disciples of Taichu City were busy at work. When they saw Roman, they immediately stopped what they were doing and bowed.
"Lord Roman."
Roman nodded slightly in response, then led Una across the deck and into the first floor of the pavilion.
Pushing open the door, Una was greeted by an extremely spacious hall.
The dome hangs high, at least seven or eight stories high, with thick beams crisscrossing at the top.
The floor was covered with dark wood flooring, polished smooth as a mirror, reflecting the warm yellow light overhead.
Several vermilion wooden pillars stand on each side, with ink-wash screens hanging between them, depicting distant mountains and flying birds.
Una paused, her gaze shifting from the screen to the palace lantern, momentarily forgetting to take a step.
She had never seen architecture of this style before.
Most of the houses on the Frostridge Plateau are rugged stone houses with thick walls and narrow windows, their sole function being to protect against the cold wind and wild animals.
Even the stone buildings in human towns that one occasionally sees are far less exquisite than the hall before one's eyes.
"So beautiful," Alo murmured.
Una nodded in deep agreement.
"Don't just stand there, keep up."
Roman's voice came from ahead.
Una snapped out of her daze and realized that Roman had already walked to the entrance of the corridor on the right side of the hall and was looking back at her.
She quickly pulled Alo along and followed Roman into the corridor and up the stairs.
Stepping onto the second floor, the view suddenly opens up.
A long corridor extends to both sides, with neatly arranged wooden doors on one side. The door frames are inlaid with bronze nameplates engraved with characters such as "Jiazi" and "Yichou".
On the other side is a carved window with mortise and tenon joints, the pattern of which is intricate yet not cluttered.
Sunlight streamed in through the window, casting dappled shadows on the floor.
Una couldn't resist leaning closer to a latticed window and looking out.
Outside the window, a sea of clouds surged, the afterglow of the setting sun dyeing the clouds a golden red, like a brocade spread out, stretching all the way to the horizon.
Those clouds that once seemed unreachable when viewed from the ground are now flowing gently within reach.
Una then realized that the airship had already taken off.
She didn't feel any vibration at all.
"The second floor is the living area, with many rooms. You can choose any one to rest in," Roman said casually. "It's not far from here to the Primordial Spirit Realm. We'll reach our destination in half an hour at most."
"Yes, teacher," Una replied.
Roman smiled, said nothing more, and turned to leave.
After closing the door, A Luo relaxed and immediately rushed to the window, leaning over the windowsill to stare outside.
"Sister, we really are flying in the sky!"
"Mm." Una sat down beside him.
After a moment of silence, Alo spoke again: "Sister, is that Lord Roman very powerful?"
Una thought for a moment and nodded: "Very impressive."
"Even more powerful than the clan leader?"
"It's different from other things, it's amazing." Una reached out and ruffled her brother's hair. "Anyway, we won't have to run around anymore."
A Luo gave a vague "oh" and then turned to look at the sea of clouds outside the window.
The orange-red light shone through the stained-glass window and fell on his little face, making him feel warm and cozy.
The airship was so stable it seemed to be still, even the sound of the wind was blocked out.
Una leaned back in her chair, her eyelids gradually drooping.
After an unknown amount of time, the girl suddenly woke up.
She rubbed her sleepy eyes, glanced at her younger brother who had fallen asleep beside her, and then looked outside. She saw that the clouds were retreating rapidly, revealing the lush green vegetation below.
As far as the eye can see, there is an endless green ocean.
The trees soared into the clouds, their canopies layered upon each other, completely obscuring the ground. From high above, it was almost impossible to see any bare earth.
Occasionally, birds would be startled from the treetops, circle once in the forest, and then disappear back into the green leaves.
"This is... the Primordial Spirit Realm?"
Una couldn't help but murmur softly, her gaze lingering among the giant trees.
The Frostridge Plateau doesn't have such vast forests.
There were more gray-brown rocks, low shrubs, and sparse coniferous forests there.
When winter comes, the whole world is left with only white snow and a gray sky.
The airship continued its descent, passing through a nearly transparent pale blue light curtain.
In an instant, Una felt a warm, moist breeze wash over her, as if she had stepped from a dry wilderness into a rain-soaked forest.
The air is filled with the sweet scent of grass, trees, and flowers, mixed with the fragrance of earth, which is refreshing and delightful.
Each breath felt like drinking a sip of sweet spring water.
Alo woke up at this moment, took a deep breath subconsciously, and a comfortable expression immediately appeared on his little face.
"Sister, what's that smell? It smells so good!"
Una did not answer; the surge of magic within her left her speechless with surprise.
It was as if an invisible stream was surging within her, and her magical energy circuits were being infused with some kind of nourishment. Her previously stagnant magical energy began to grow at a speed she had never experienced before.
She quickly realized that this was due to the high concentration of energy in the air.
"The energy concentration here is incredibly high..."
Una's eyes were filled with amazement.
It turns out that the elves of the Silvermoon Clan all lived in such an environment.
No wonder they're all so amazing!
After the initial shock, Una quickly felt a surge of joy.
From now on, she can live in the same place!
