Elven cultivators

Chapter 311 The Body of Taiyin

Primordial Spirit Realm, Zone C4.

This is one of the many settlements specifically for the Silvermoon Clan to house their vassal races; it was established not long ago.

The settlement was separated by vines, and a gray-white stone tablet stood at the entrance, with the two large characters "丙四" (Bing Si) engraved on it in Common Language.

The ape-man boy walked briskly over the stone tablet and headed deeper into the settlement along the main road.

He ran very fast, and the short golden hair on his back gleamed warmly in the sunlight.

As he ran past a stone house, half of his body peeked out from the doorway. It was an old tree shepherd who was drying animal hides. He waved at him and said, "Morrick, why are you running so fast? Where are you rushing off to?"

"Grandpa Theodore!" Morrick slowed his pace, turned back, and grinned at the old man. "The settlement is holding a qualification test today. I'm going to find Evie and take her with me!"

The old tree shepherd smiled upon hearing this, and without asking any further questions, simply waved his hand and said, "Go on, go on."

Morrick waved to him again, then turned and continued running.

Along the way, they encountered several familiar faces, and Morrick greeted them with a smile.

He had only been in the settlement for a little over a month, but being naturally outgoing, he quickly became familiar with the residents.

Although everyone comes from different races, they get along very well.

Morric is very satisfied with his current life.

Not only is the environment beautiful and comfortable to live in, but the energy concentration here is also exceptionally high.

Before coming here, he never imagined that there was any place in the world with such a high energy concentration.

Cultivating in the settlement area, the speed at which magic power is condensed is several times faster than before.

"I've heard that the energy concentration in Primordial City is much higher than in the settlements. I wonder what's going on?"

Morric's mind raced with thoughts.

He felt that the energy concentration in the settlement area was already astonishing, and it was hard to imagine what the Primordial City was like.

Unfortunately, only disciples of the Primordial City, native elves, and vassal races that provide services to the former two are allowed to enter the Primordial City; otherwise, he would really like to go and see for himself.

While pondering, Morrick had already reached the end of the main road.

After turning the corner, the view ahead suddenly opened up.

A relatively open space appeared before us.

The edge of the open space was surrounded by a circle of neatly trimmed low shrubs, and several vines with pale purple flowers climbed along the shrubs, enclosing the entire open space into a small courtyard.

A two-story building stands in the courtyard. The walls are made of coarse vines, and the gaps are filled with a mixture of clay and grass clippings. The surface is covered with a layer of light blue mud, which is smooth and clean.

Morrick stopped in front of the gate, took a breath, and peered towards the first-floor door, calling out, "Evie! Are you there?"

The room was quiet for a moment, then a soft footstep could be heard.

The door creaked open and Ivy stepped out.

Compared to a month ago, the half-elf girl looked much better and was no longer as lifeless as she had been in the slave-hunting camp.

However, his expression remained aloof and indifferent, with a sense of detachment in his eyes.

"What's wrong?" Ivy asked in a flat tone, revealing no obvious emotion.

Morrick was already used to Ivy's attitude and didn't mind. He grinned and said, "Didn't the clan send people to the settlement today to conduct aptitude tests? They should have started by now. Want to go together?"

Ivy's gaze lingered on his face for a moment before she nodded slightly.

"it is good."

She wasn't particularly close to Morric, but she didn't dislike him either.

This ape-man boy was cheerful, talkative, and did everything with great enthusiasm, which was the complete opposite of her personality. He was the kind of person she was least comfortable dealing with.

She remembered that back in the slave-hunting camp, Morrick, despite being injured, had tried to help her, and although it didn't work out in the end, she still remembered his kindness.

So I became more patient with Morric.

After leaving the courtyard, the two walked towards the central square of the settlement.

On the way, seeing that Ivy remained silent, Morric had no choice but to take the initiative to start a conversation.

"Evie, what are your plans for the future?"

Ivy's eyes flickered slightly, and she said calmly, "I want to become a disciple of the Primordial City."

Morrick understood, and wasn't particularly surprised.

He had heard this phrase from more than one person.

In the settlement, the younger generation of almost all vassal races will be regarded as the highest target by the disciples of the Primordial City.

After all, that would mean instant success.

Nighteye of the Catmen, Nordwin of the Marked Race, Grove of the Tree Shepherds... These disciples of the Primordial City, who were born into vassal races, are the goals and role models for countless younger generations of vassal races.

Morric was no exception.

"My goal is also to become a disciple of the Primordial City," Morric said excitedly, but then became somewhat apprehensive. "But for now, it's just a thought; we still need to see if I have spiritual roots."

Even if the elves of this race do not have spiritual roots, they can still switch to cultivating physical strength. As long as they show enough talent, they can still be promoted to disciples of the Primordial City.

But for vassal races like them, they must have spiritual roots and make enough contributions.

Both are indispensable.

Without spiritual roots, it is almost impossible to become a disciple of Taichu City in this lifetime.

After the incident at the slave-hunting camp, Morric was more eager than anyone to become stronger and to have the power to protect himself and others.

He never wanted to experience the helplessness and despair of having his life and death controlled by others again.

Becoming a disciple of the Primordial City is undoubtedly the best shortcut.

Once the topic was started, Morric talked on and on.

Evie mostly listened, only occasionally saying a word or two.

Even so, Morric was quite satisfied.

Not long after, the two arrived at the square.

A large number of people have already gathered here, forming a long queue.

At the end of the square, there was a row of long tables, behind which sat several disciples of Taichu City dressed in green robes, sitting upright with peaceful expressions.

In front of each person was a palm-sized jade disc, with five crystals of different colors inlaid around the edge, gleaming with a warm glow in the sunlight.

Despite the long queue, the atmosphere was surprisingly quiet.

Even the most unruly members of the vassal races dared not raise their voices in front of the disciples of the Primordial City.

Occasionally, someone would whisper a few words, but they were quickly silenced by the surrounding gazes.

As Morric and Evie were about to head to the back of the line, they suddenly heard a slight commotion coming from the other end of the square.

The two turned their heads and saw two disciples from Taichu City walking quickly towards them and standing in front of the crowd.

One of the elven girls glanced around and announced loudly, "Which one of you is Ivy?"

The square fell silent instantly.

Immediately afterwards, many eyes fell on Ivy.

Because of her stunning appearance and her half-elf identity, Evie was extremely famous in the C4 settlement, and many people knew her.

Following the gaze of the crowd, the two disciples of Taichu City quickly noticed Ivy.

The elven girl stepped forward, a polite smile on her face, her tone courteous and gentle: "Excuse me, are you Miss Ivy?"

Ivy paused for a moment, then nodded.

"The chieftain wishes to see you." The elven girl stepped aside and gestured for you to come with her.

As soon as he finished speaking, there was a brief silence, followed by a commotion that erupted from all directions, like a stone thrown into water.

Even with disciples of Taichu City present, the discussions could not be suppressed.

Everyone craned their necks to look this way, their eyes fixed on Ivy, filled with undisguised surprise and envy.

After all, that's the clan leader!

The entity located at the very top of the Silvermoon Clan's pyramid!

Why would someone like that specifically request to see a half-elf who has only been here for a month or so?

Morric was equally shocked.

He subconsciously turned to look at Ivy, and saw that her face, which was usually calm and expressionless, was now flushed with excitement.

"Okay." Ivy nodded vigorously.

The voice was half a octave lower than usual, yet it carried a tremor that was barely contained by force.

The two disciples from Taichu City didn't linger. They nodded and turned to walk back the way they came.

Ivy followed without hesitation, her pace quickening slightly, as if afraid that if she slowed down even half a step, the other person would change their mind.

Morric stood frozen in place, watching the three figures pass through the crowd, turn the corner at the end of the tree-lined corridor, and quickly disappear among the shadows of trees and vines.

He opened his mouth, but no sound came out. A strange emptiness suddenly welled up in his heart.

……

Most people who step into the Primordial City for the first time are so shocked by the sight before them that they are speechless.

Towering city walls, wide and smooth bluestone streets, layer upon layer of flying eaves and pavilions, and in the distance, that eternal tree that blocks out the sky...

Any one of these things would be enough to leave a half-elf who has been wandering for a long time stunned for half a day.

However, Evie had no time to appreciate her surroundings; she was completely absorbed in excitement and anticipation.

Ever since she escaped from the slave-hunting camp that night, she often recalled the golden sword light that tore through the night sky and the figure that emerged from it.

During the most desperate and darkest time of her life, it was Lord Anton who descended from the heavens and rescued her from the darkness.

From that day on, she longed to see him again.

But she dared not tell anyone about this thought.

After all, he was just a lowly half-elf, how could he be qualified to approach a dignified clan chief?

So she could only suppress that longing in her heart.

But now, that expectation is about to be fulfilled.

This gave Evie a dreamlike, dazed feeling.

The joy and excitement in my chest almost overflowed, and my steps even felt a little unsteady.

It wasn't until the disciples of Taichu City stopped and said, "The Tianyuan Palace is just ahead," that Ivy suddenly came to her senses.

All the way there, her mind was filled with what to do and what to pay attention to, so much so that she had no recollection of how long she walked or what places she passed through.

When I came to my senses, there was a tightly closed door in front of me.

The thought that the person she longed to see was right behind the door made Ivy's heart pound violently.

She glanced down at the hem of her robe.

Thankfully, it didn't get muddy.

He reached out and touched his collar, finding it a little crooked. He quickly tugged at it twice, then realized the action was unnecessary and silently withdrew his hand.

Taking a deep breath, Ivy swallowed the heat that had risen to her throat, then pushed open the door and went inside.

The Tianyuan Hall was larger than she had imagined.

The dome is very high, making the whole space feel spacious.

The pillars on both sides are arranged neatly, and the light between the pillars falls obliquely from above, casting wide patches of light on the ground.

Ivy didn't look around; she simply lowered her eyes and walked to the center of the hall, where she stopped.

Directly in front of her, behind a large desk sat a young elf with a calm expression, looking at her.

Suppressing her excitement, Ivy bowed and said, "Lord Anton."

As she straightened up, her gaze couldn't help but quickly sweep across his face before she lowered her head again, afraid that he would notice her little gesture.

Anton saw this but said nothing, only giving her a gentle smile and then nodding to Eleanor.

Elinor understood, stood up and walked to Ivy, took out a palm-sized jade disc from her sleeve, held it in her palm and presented it to Ivy, saying softly, "Just place your hand on it."

Ivy glanced at the disc, then quickly looked at Anton. Seeing that the latter was looking at them calmly, she no longer hesitated and placed her palm on it.

It feels slightly cool to the touch, the jade is smooth and delicate, and has a slightly translucent feel.

She instinctively closed her eyes, and the surrounding sounds seemed to be cut off or pulled away, leaving only the sound of her own breathing.

A moment later, the disc trembled slightly.

A warm, silvery-gray light slowly emanated from the center of the disc, condensing into a cool and clear halo that seemed to envelop a small patch of quiet night in the afternoon room.

Seeing this, Eleanor's gaze froze, and her face showed undisguised surprise.

"This is... the Yin body!"
