Chapter 33 Molten Thorn Tribe

Training grounds, magic zone.

When Darian saw Anton appear at the door of the treehouse, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.

Since launching the Dragon Essence Potion, Anton has kept a low profile and rarely appears in public.

All the materials needed to make the medicine were delivered to the residence by a designated person, and the finished medicine was also picked up by others.

The last time he saw Anton was more than three months ago.

Could it be that there's a new, improved drug?

Darian's initial hope was quickly dashed by Anton's subsequent words.

"Teacher, I would like to borrow some books related to alchemy."

"Alchemy?" Darian asked in surprise, ignoring his disappointment. "Why did you suddenly decide to borrow alchemy books?"

"I'm somewhat interested in this and would like to learn more about it," Anton said frankly.

Darian remained silent for a moment, seemingly wanting to say something but then stopping himself.

While there are spellcasters who learn two arts at the same time, in his opinion, since Anton has an amazing talent for potion making that far surpasses that of ordinary people, he should focus on pursuing this path.

Instead of being half-hearted and diverting energy to other areas.

"Don't bite off more than you can chew"—this is a truth that countless spellcasters have proven with their blood and tears.

But times have changed. Although Anton is just an underage elf, his reputation and status in the clan have long surpassed that of his teacher.

Even he couldn't easily comment on Anton's reasonable demands.

After hesitating for a moment, Darian finally walked to the bookshelf against the wall and took down a stack of books with leather covers.

"These are introductory books on alchemy. If you have any questions after studying them, you can come to me."

Although he did not agree with Anton's actions, Darian still tried his best to provide assistance.

"Although I am not good at alchemy, there are spellcasters in our clan who specialize in it. I can introduce you to one."

"Thank you, teacher."

Anton readily agreed, but his gaze inadvertently fell upon the long oak table beside him, and his eyes were immediately drawn to the map on the table.

It was a slightly yellowed map with slightly curled edges and somewhat mottled ink. Dark brown lines outlined undulating mountains and winding rivers, while fine contour lines, like tree rings, encircled the familiar outline of the central forest.

It was the Silvermoon Forest.

North of the forest, countless fine arrows were drawn, like a flock of migratory birds pointing in a clear direction, flying straight towards an area marked with a lizard's head.

Noticing Anton's gaze, Darian explained, "That's the territory of the Molten Thorn tribe."

The Molten Thorn Tribe is a lizardman tribe that resides in the northern wasteland of Silvermoon Forest.

With that in mind, Anton casually asked, "Professor Darian, how did the clan's hunt go?"

He had been busy cultivating for the past few years and hadn't paid much attention to outside affairs. He had only occasionally heard Roman mention the hunting operation, but knew nothing about the details.

"Thanks to your muscle-regenerating and energy-restoring potions, the casualties of the guards were greatly reduced, and the hunt went relatively smoothly overall."

Darian approached the table, ran his fingers over the map, and stopped below the lizard head symbol.

"The lizardmen of the Molten Thorn tribe are individually far weaker than clan warriors, but their population far exceeds ours."

"The entire Molten Thorn tribe has at least 20,000 people, of whom about half are adult lizardmen."

"We certainly have no chance of winning a direct attack on the Molten Thorn Tribe, but fortunately our target is the lizardman hunting teams that go out to forage. We only need to capture a few hunting teams each year to make up for the captive gap."

Anton's eyes flickered slightly.

The Silvermoon Clan has a population of less than two thousand, which is only about one-tenth of the Molten Thorn Tribe.

Such a huge numerical disparity cannot be compensated for by slight advantages in individual strength.

It's no wonder that the clan has always been on the defensive and never actively attacked the Molten Thorn tribe.

Once they leave Silvermoon Forest and lose their geographical advantage, the Silvermoon Clan might not be a match for the Molten Thorn Tribe.

Seemingly feeling that his words were somewhat flattering, Darian added, "However, this is only temporary. With the Dragon Essence Potion you invented, the clan's overall strength will be significantly enhanced in a hundred or two hundred years at most. At that time, the Molten Thorn Tribe will certainly no longer be our opponent."

Anton smiled and nodded, without saying anything.

If we really wait a hundred or two hundred years, he will probably already be in the middle or late stage of Foundation Establishment.

He probably wouldn't even need a clan; he could wipe out the Molten Thorn tribe all by himself.

"Oh, right, there's something you don't know yet."

Darian seemed to remember something and casually mentioned it.

"Eleanor will be taking on the Windtalker Trial next month."

Anton paused slightly, "I remember Eleanor isn't due to come of age for another ten years, is she?"

"That's right." Darian nodded. "But Eleanor volunteered to take on the trial ahead of schedule, and the Elders' Council agreed."

Seeing Anton's surprised expression, he smiled and explained, "The clan has never explicitly stipulated the age for challenging the Wind Whisperer Trials. It used to be fixed on the day of the coming-of-age ceremony, but it was just a long-standing custom."

Is this even possible?

Anton was speechless for a moment.

If he had known this earlier, he would have applied twenty years ago!

We waited for twenty years for nothing.

After a moment of internal monologue, Anton immediately said, "Teacher, I also want to take the Wind Whisperer Trial ahead of time."

Darian seemed to have anticipated Anton's reaction, and was not surprised by what he heard. He smiled and said, "Alright, I will apply to the Elders' Council on your behalf so that you can participate in the trial with Eleanor next month."

......

Perhaps due to the celebrity effect, news of Anton's participation in the Windtalkers Trial spread faster than he had expected.

He had barely returned to the treehouse when Roman came knocking on the door.

"Are you participating in the Windtalker Trials next month?"

As soon as he entered, Roman asked questions in a hurry.

Anton nodded slightly: "That's right."

Roman immediately said, "Then I want to participate too."

Anton looked the girl up and down a few times, then asked in surprise, "You've broken through to the Silver Rank?"

"Of course, who do you think you are?"

Roman puffed out his chest smugly, then seemed to remember something, quietly pulled his shoulders back, scratched the back of his head and laughed, "Speaking of which, it's all thanks to your potions and combat skills that I've improved so quickly."

After truly getting started with the training, Roman realized that the two combat techniques Anton had given her were perfectly suited to her fighting style.

This directly and significantly improved her combat skills.

In addition, Anton secretly gave her an extra dose of Dragon Essence Medicine.

Roman's talent was already superior to others, and with the addition of two Dragon Essence Potions, his magic power increased by leaps and bounds, which enabled him to break through to the Silver Rank before adulthood.

"In that case, let's participate together."

Upon learning that Roman had advanced to the Silver rank, Anton naturally had no objections.

"Okay, I'll go and apply to my advisor right away."

After leaving those words behind, Roman hurriedly departed.

Watching Roman's figure disappear through the door, Anton couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head. He then turned and walked into the meditation room to prepare for cultivation.
