Elven cultivators

Chapter 35 It's your turn next.

"roar......"

A low, suppressed roar echoed above the basin.

The Spinosaurus's head thrashed restlessly from side to side, its thick tail slamming heavily into the ground, creating a half-foot-deep crack that sent shards of rock flying.

Around the basin, many young elves subconsciously took a few steps back, their faces slightly pale.

Although most of them had undergone practical training and fought against lizardmen, they still found it difficult to suppress the instinctive fear when faced with such a massive beast.

This is a silver-rank dragon beast!

Even if it's just a lower-level Silver rank, it's not something that newbies like them, who aren't even at the Iron rank, can contend with.

Despite its agitation, the Ridgeosaurus stood beside Cedric without daring to make a move.

The elf before it, much smaller than itself, gave it an extremely terrifying sense of danger, and its wild instincts prevented it from making any rash moves.

Cedric stood calmly in front of the Riftdragon, not even glancing at it, as if the giant beast behind him was just an ordinary rock.

"The rules of the Wind Whisperer's Trial are simple." His gaze swept over Anton and the other two. "As long as you kill a Ridge Dragon on your own, you will have successfully completed the challenge."

"Who's coming first?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Eleanor stepped forward from the crowd and leaped into the basin.

"I'll go first."

Her steps were steady, her expression calm, and she showed no sign of tension.

Leila shouted encouragement from behind, but she didn't turn around; she just nodded slightly.

Cedric glanced at Eleanor, then leaped away from the basin.

Without Cedric's deterrent, the Spinosaurus, which had been itching to attack, could no longer restrain itself. With a low growl, it pawed at the ground and its massive body, like a moving mountain, crushed towards Eleanor.

Eleanor remained unmoved, flicked her staff, and a wall of earth rose from the ground, blocking the beast's path.

boom!

The Ridgeosaurus smashed through the earthen wall, sending shards of rock flying like shrapnel, but its speed was noticeably reduced.

Eleanor seized the opportunity to create distance and cast a levitation spell on herself, instantly lifting her off the ground and floating in the air.

With air superiority, she cast spells with greater ease, her staff flashing as she unleashed a barrage of spells upon the Riftdragon.

The Ridgeosaurus has thick hide and tough flesh, so the damage caused by a single spell is very limited.

Eleanor remained calm and composed, using her agile movements and precise spellcasting to gradually wear down the behemoth's stamina and defense.

As time passed, fine beads of sweat gradually appeared on Eleanor's forehead.

The wounds on the Spine Dragon's body continued to increase.

As the Riftdragon smashed through the earthen wall for the fifth time and its movements slowed noticeably, a sharp glint flashed in Eleanor's eyes, and a blinding burst of lightning erupted from the tip of her staff, with countless tiny lightning snakes coiling and leaping around the staff.

Third Ring spell: Lightning Bolt!

Crack!

A thick, azure arc of electricity, as thick as an arm, shot out from the tip of the staff, accompanied by a teeth-grinding hiss of electricity, and struck the head of the Riftspinosaurus with pinpoint accuracy.

In the instant the lightning exploded, the giant beast convulsed violently, tiny sparks of electricity bursting from the gaps in its scales, and a burnt smell filled the air.

It let out a short, mournful howl, its massive body crashed to the ground, its limbs convulsed a few times, and then it fell completely silent.

A moment of silence followed around the basin, then thunderous cheers erupted.

"It's a success!"

"Well done, Eleanor!"

Eleanor leaned on her staff, slightly out of breath, but a genuine smile appeared on her lips.

She turned to look up at the top of the hill and met the approving gaze of the Grand Elder, which made her even more excited.

Back at the top of the hill, Leila immediately embraced him with a big smile.

While responding to her friend's congratulations, Eleanor glanced in Anton's direction, only to find that the latter was patting Roman on the shoulder, seemingly cheering her on, without even glancing in her direction.

Seeing this, Eleanor's smile faded slightly, and she couldn't help but bite her lip lightly.

The guards quickly dragged the carcass of the Riftdragon away.

A new Ridgeosaurus was released from the cave, similar in size to the previous one, and with the same ferocious aura.

"Who's next?"

Cedric looked at Roman and Anton.

"I'll do it."

Roman strode towards the center of the basin, stood in front of the Riftdragon, gripped the axe handle with both hands, and pointed the axe blade diagonally at the ground.

"Come on, big guy."

Provoked, the Ridgeosaurus roared and charged first.

Instead of retreating, Roman advanced, forcefully pushing off the ground with his feet, and his whole body shot out like an arrow.

Boom!

A muffled clap of thunder suddenly exploded in the air.

The axe blade, carrying a violent gust of wind, slammed into the side of the Spinebreaker's head.

boom!

The massive body of the Riftdragon was cleaved to the side by the axe blow, and fragments of its scales mixed with blood splattered everywhere.

The pain fueled the Riftspike's rage, and it swung its claws across the battlefield.

Roman neither dodged nor avoided, and a layer of illusory scales suddenly appeared on his body.

clang!

The moment the claws struck the phantom, a crisp metallic clang rang out. Roman swayed slightly before regaining his balance, a wild smile spreading across his lips.

"Is that all the strength you have?"

She swung her axe again, and thunder roared once more as the blade cleaved fiercely at the giant beast before her.

The man and the beast then engaged in a fierce battle.

Roman's fighting style was brutal and savage, lacking the elegance and grace typical of elves, and instead resembling that of an orc berserker.

Those elves familiar with Roman were fine with it; they were used to it.

However, most of the elves had never witnessed Roman's fighting style before, and when they saw this scene, they all looked at each other with strange expressions.

At the top of the hill, Elena raised her eyebrows in surprise: "Roman's two combat techniques are quite impressive. When did the clan acquire such techniques?"

She turned to look at the others, only to find that everyone looked puzzled, clearly unaware of this matter.

Finally, Roman's combat skills instructor stepped forward and explained, "The clan originally did not have these two combat skills. According to Roman, they were new combat skills created by Anton."

Everyone looked surprised.

Unexpectedly, in addition to his outstanding talent in pharmacology, Anton also possessed remarkable skills in combat.

Creating a completely new combat skill that ordinary warriors can practice is even more difficult than fusing with demonic combat skills.

After all, the latter is merely an improvement on the existing foundation, while the former is a creation from scratch.

"That kid Anton really keeps surprising us one after another."

A hint of amazement flashed across the Third Elder's face.

Just as everyone was talking, the battle in the basin was coming to an end.

Under Roman's relentless onslaught, the Riftdragon retreated step by step, its scales shattered and blood gushing forth.

Not long after, it finally gave in and was struck by Roman with a powerful blow that shaved off half of its head, causing it to crash to the ground.

Having defeated his opponent, Roman put away his axe, let out a long sigh, and turned to walk towards the top of the slope, his steps still brisk, completely ignoring the strange looks coming from all around him.

"Anton, I've got it done. Now it's your turn."

Roman casually gave Anton a high five and grinned, making a "good luck" gesture to him.

Anton smiled slightly, took the black steel sword from his waist, held it in his hand, and slowly walked towards the center of the basin, his steps as casual as if he were taking a stroll after a meal.

But it was this leisurely appearance that suddenly made the area around the basin quiet down.

All eyes were on him.
