Chapter 384 I'm curious what they want to do to me.

"The Ring of Annihilation?"

Anton looked at Grant and chuckled inwardly.

In this world, apart from the people of the Ring of Annihilation themselves, probably no one understands those madmen better than him.

"I know," Anton scoffed. "A bunch of people who worship death, why are you asking this?"

Grant looked surprised.

During this period, he asked many people the same question, but the vast majority of them had never even heard of the name "Ring of Annihilation".

The few who knew about it had only heard snippets of information and couldn't even explain the organization's origins.

Only Anton immediately revealed the organization's core doctrine.

This shows that he truly understands the Ring of Annihilation.

Grant was overjoyed.

He had originally spent a considerable amount of time organizing intelligence, intending to explain the organization's origins and movements to Anton from beginning to end, but now it seemed he could save that effort.

"Looks like you know them pretty well," Grant said. "Then I'll cut to the chase."

"When I was training outside, I was unintentionally drawn into a conflict between two forces. I found out that someone was stirring things up behind the scenes, so I took action and captured those people. After that, I followed the clues and found out that these people all came from an organization called the Ring of Annihilation."

"Later, through the Free Alliance's intelligence channels, I learned in detail that the Ring of Annihilation was an organization that only started operating in the last hundred years or so. However, it was powerful, acted secretly, and had a wide range of infiltration. Many wars on the continent had their shadow behind them, and some were even directly orchestrated by them."

Grant paused, his expression becoming more serious.

"I suspect these guys are plotting something, and they're up to something big."

The secret passage in Anton was indeed quite large.

The storm that this group of madmen ultimately stirred up nearly the entire continent.

But it wasn't convenient to say that aloud right now, so he simply nodded and followed up with, "So, why did you think of coming to find me?"

Grant said, "The members of the Ring of Annihilation I've been tracking have been mentioning your name repeatedly in their private exchanges lately. Their level of interest in you is unusual; it's not as simple as just 'hearing about' you."

"I originally wanted to get more information out of them, but the people of the Ring of Annihilation are always tight-lipped and have the means to end their own lives. They are not afraid of being tortured. I was afraid of alerting them, so I didn't make any moves against them for the time being."

"After thinking it over, I decided to come and ask you."

He looked at Anton, shrugged, and said, "Looks like I didn't ask the wrong person."

Anton immediately understood.

He had thwarted so many of the Ring of Annihilation's operations, so it's understandable that the other party would hold a grudge against him.

Grant, who had been watching Anton's changing expression, couldn't help but ask, "Anton, do you know something?"

Anton hesitated for a moment, then asked instead of answering, "Do you know about the Underworld?"

"The Abyss?" Grant asked hesitantly. "You mean that ancient... final battlefield that was split off from?"

"That's right."

Anton nodded, not at all surprised that Grant knew this.

With the Freedom Alliance behind him, Grant naturally knew secrets that many people didn't.

For example, he learned about the Ring of Annihilation from the Free Alliance.

This also shows that the Free Alliance knew about the existence of the Ring of Annihilation long ago.

The same is true for the other four major powers.

They simply didn't know the true purpose of the Ring of Annihilation.

"The Ring of Annihilation is indeed plotting a conspiracy in secret. Their goal is to open the Abyss, reconnect it to the continent, and awaken the sleeping dead within it, allowing them to invade the continent and unleash disaster."

Upon hearing this, Grant's expression completely changed.

The Abyss is a battlefield where countless eternal battles of annihilation took place, burying countless corpses.

Furthermore, there are countless powerful ancient races, including Titans, Proto-Giants, Ancient Elemental Lords, and the First Generation of Dragons.

If these dead were to descend upon the continent, the devastation would be beyond description.

It was a complete catastrophe!

Grant had assumed the Ring of Annihilation's plot was far from small, but he never imagined their true purpose was so terrifying.

It took Grant a while to process this shocking news.

"What are they after?" Grant frowned. "What good would it do them to release those things?"

"The Ring of Annihilation believes in death," Anton said calmly. "In their view, death is the eternal destination. Bringing the dead to the continent and returning everything to annihilation is their ultimate goal."

Grant was silent for a moment, then muttered under his breath, "Madman."

Anton was right; the Ring of Annihilation is a bunch of lunatics.

Grant's expression shifted for a while before he asked, "What evidence do you have?"

Anton shook his head.

He knew that Grant wasn't doubting him when he said that.

Sure enough, Grant smiled wryly and said, "I trust your judgment, but this is a serious matter. Without evidence, others probably won't fully believe it."

Anton remained noncommittal.

He understood this, which is why he had never made the matter public.

But Grant's initiative to come to him was actually an opportunity.

Perhaps we can take this opportunity to remind the five major powers.

Even if the five major powers don't completely believe it, it's better to be on guard than to be completely unprepared.

Normally, if this were said by Anton, the five major powers might not believe it.

Even the Emerald Court, which has the closest ties with the Silvermoon Clan, is no exception.

Bloodhowl Keep might even suspect that he's up to something in the dark.

But if Grant had said those words, they would have carried a different weight.

Grant's position was unique; he never truly got involved in the vortex of interests among the five major powers.

Such a neutral and powerful saint is more likely to gain the trust of the five major powers.

Sending him to deliver the message to the five major powers would at least earn him more trust than having Anton speak up himself.

Grant had clearly thought of this as well.

He was silent for a moment, then stood up and said solemnly:

"This matter must be informed of the five major powers immediately."

"We must get them to stop fighting and work together to deal with the Ring of Annihilation first."

Anton shook his head: "I'm afraid it won't be that easy."

The five major powers have been fighting for so many years, with so many deaths and countless resources invested. How can they just stop like that?

Moreover, they have no evidence yet.

The five major powers might be wary of Grant's words, but expecting them to immediately set aside their differences and cooperate is wishful thinking.

No one wants to believe the worst possibility until they see the ending with their own eyes.

This is the inherent weakness of intelligent beings.

Grant clearly understood this as well, and said with a bitter expression, "We have to try, and do our best."

Anton patted him on the shoulder and said, "Before that, why don't you take me to meet those guys you're tracking?"

"I'm more curious about what they want to do to me."
